Fantasy Boys Life

Leia finally can start high school. She doesn't want to attend any high school though. Her goal is to get into an art boarding school. She is sure that they would take her, but there is one problem. The school is only for boys. So she goes to take a test in order to be accepted in the school, dressed up as a boy. She actually is accepted and is allowed to attend that school.

No one gets suspicious that she's not a boy, and everything works out fine until she falls in love with her roommate.<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2014_08/57a8c0437f247_ScreenShot2014-08-29at21.57.14.png.089cc8ab4c7a9e2f7560351bc88ba503.png" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="28568" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2014_08/57a8c0437f247_ScreenShot2014-08-29at21.57.14.png.089cc8ab4c7a9e2f7560351bc88ba503.png" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

"H-Hello." The girl entered her room, seeing a boy sitting at the desk. She was wearing a loose plain white shirt and some baggy jeans to hide her chest and hips, and a grey beanie to cover her long hair. Cutting her hair would have been too much of a sacrifice.

The room was smaller than she had expected. There was just enough space for two beds, a small drawer, and a desk to fit. Leia approached her roommate, thinking about how he should greet him. If she hugged him it would be weird, wouldn't it? She just smiled and waved. "My name is... Robert." She tried to talk in a deeper voice than usual.

Neal's mother had decided it would e best for him to arrive almost exactly an hour and a half early this year, that way he could set up his room to be 'disability friendly'. Also then his whole family could come and not embarrass him in front of the new roommate AGAIN. Neal's family wasn't exactly typical - What with the two twins who couldn't be more different, the dad who just looked like he dropped off an army boat and was going to follow all the instructions in an ikea bed. And his mother was - a mom. Mrs. Quarters was a mom to the core, everything about her was - momish. They made for a odd eccentric family, and they looked nothing like Neal so it brought up a lot of questions. Questions that didn't have 'first day' answers.

Eventually he got his stuff put away and the postcards up, Neal collected postcards to put up on the walls of his dorm, they were cheap and pretty and he could collage them up there on the wall. Neal then sat down at the desk heavily, putting his crutches away and began to sketch. The dorm room was on the second floor and there were some lovely trees within full view of the little window. He didn't even realize how much time had passed when his roommate arrived.

"Hi, I'm Neal." He said turning in his seat and holding out his hand.

Leia looked at the boy, smiling slightly. Neal did seem very friendly to her. She shook his hand, then placed her backpack on the bed while looking at the postcards. "They're beautiful," she said and sat down next to her backpack. "How long have you already been here? I mean, it must take over an hour to put those up on the walls." Her eyes wandered back to look at her roommate. In fact Leia was very excited to see the school, but tried to hide it. It would be too girly of her to start running around and talking about how beautiful and interesting everything was. "What grade are you in?" she asked Neal, who looked a few years older than she was.

"I've been here for little over a half an hour, and I'm a junior this year." He said looking up at the postcards and scratching his chin. He grabbed one crutch and stood, just long enough to maneuver to the bed. "Yes; by the way is the answer, I am disabled. No; I do not need your help." He flopped out on his stomach, he hated guys that thought they were big and tough and needed to help him or whatever. Though Robert seemed different, he was little and wore a hat. Oh better warn him. "Oh dude- Mr. McArth doesn't allow hats in his class, he takes them right off boy's heads. Just WOOSH, so be careful, he is in charge of discipline if he sees you in the hall..."

"I-I wasn't going to ask…" Knowing that Neal thought she would be so disrespectful made her a little sad. "I couldn't help you anyway. I'm not very strong." She lowered her head slightly and sighed.

Leia sat down on the other bed and closed her eyes for a moment. She opened them again out of shock when she heard what Neal told her. "N-No hats?!" she exclaimed. "B-But… I always wear mine!" If anyone saw her long hair they would suspect that she was a girl.

"O-Oh shit! I forgot to bring something! Can I still leave the school real quick?" She was panicking, and planning to get a wig.
