The citizens of the small town could have sworn that the traveling circus on the edge of town had gone up literally over night. They didn't know how right they were. The Cirque de Flors was a unique traveling circus. It hadn't come through to see them for about seven years now, and so they were all eagerly waiting for the afternoon when it would be open to the public.
There were three large tents for the main attractions, and all three were surrounded by various vendors, peddlers and side shows. But it was the people who ran the circus that were the most interesting attraction. Extreme seemed to be the style of most, and eccentric for the rest. Wild hair colors and face paint caught and held the attention of the patrons as they ran about getting the place ready.
Overseeing it all was a tall beautiful woman in a classic ringmasters outfit. Ailis Dalca was an impressive figure in her blood red outfit and long white blond hair pulled back in a braid. Her dark blue eyes swept over the proceedings to make sure everything was just right. Her face was marred by a large shiny scar that covered one eye and ran down her neck to disappear into her high collar. But it did little more than to draw more attention to her.
She smiled, a hint of teeth peeking through red lips. Soon they'd be open for buisness.
