Borders are down... just a bit more to go!

So, with the borders gone, RPN has an opportunity to compete and beat out other RP sites with one adjustment with graphics: getting rid of the auto gap. What I'm talking about is this:

RPN Workshop

A different RP Forum

This is a basic L-Shape Format that a lot of users on other websites have come to use to pretty up a RP thread. From posting to building a IC, it's a basic tool to use graphics and coding to bring in the masses with visuals. If the gap is eliminated, you have literally opened yourself to new users migrating to this website while letting them keep with a comfort they had in others. Seriously, RPN can compete with a lot of websites if this gap is eliminated. For the competitive website, the easiest way to achieve this is:

Code:
[img=image url]
[imgleft]image url[/imgleft]

Then, any and all text and characters can hug up on the graphic or be indented for space. BAM! You just got yourself hundreds of new users leaving one site for RPN. I know plenty of users are migrating over here since this is considered "new" compared to other sites. If this small change can be made... you'll see more. So much more.

I agree that doing something as simple as getting rid of the gap in between imge and floatimg would allow new users coming from other sites to feel more comfortable. A very large amount of my rp friends were hesitant in coming over here because it seemed they would be limited in their amount of banner and graphics diversity. However, if you allow a little more leeway with pictures and graphics, I believe there is a massive amount of people that would consider RPN a more ideal place. The community and ease of use for RPers is so much better here.

Carter Jake Mason]This would be absolutely amazing. [URL="https://www.rpnation.com/profile/11853-mordecai/ said:
@Mordecai[/URL], what do you think?
Hmm. I like the idea.

Though, I am not the person who takes care of these kinds of things. @The Dark Wizard is going to be the person you're going to want to talk to, actually.

EDIT: He will see the tag, but I'll also talk to him tonight about it.

I'll investigate to see if its even possible.

I was only able to get rid of borders because that was something someone added in the past.

I think it is. I can put separate images side by side without an auto gap showing. But, once I hit enter to break up the images, the auto gap appears.
