Virtual World

Too Much Of A Good Thing

This world takes place a few hundred years from present day. Few countries have made it past the apocalyptic circumstances that happened a few centuries ago. The world went into a massive plummet financially, but the few who did make it founded very large and vast cities with new technology. They have been building and expanding for approximately two decades. Most of the new generation knows nothing about what happened all those years ago, and so they roam the streets with their helper bots and portable devices unknowing of what is happening outside the city walls.

Most of the people have bought a small ' holder ' place where their physical body remains as they live happily in the virtual world with different stories and goals. The ones who prefer to stray away from all the brain enhancing technology were forced out of the cities and into the wasteland of the world. Now most people who live in this city which takes place in future Tokyo, Japan have enhanced thinking and physical abilities. Though -- It turns out not everything is as it seems.

A new virtual reality company has recently been released and their new MMO game is about to be available to the public. Of course, all of the beta testers knew the game was going to be a huge hit, with it's advanced coding even to this world and rendering quality it was bound to take the new world by storm. Though, only a few hundred thousand were eligible to be sold. Beta gamers automatically got a copy with their saved stats and a reward for participating that came in the form of a unique skill in the game.

This game is known as Boken. It is a world of Adventure and various quests, bosses, and guilds. This game was based around the many other MMO's that had came out within the recent year, which included only a physical attack attributes. Though, Boken promised to have a much more diverse skills and classes -- They certainly delivered. Creating your own race or selecting from the previously made ones, and a variety of classes. The only thing it truly lacks is the element of magic, the developer explained how that would take a year or more to implement since it had almost endless possibilities and how they would like to test the game for some time before selling it world-wide. They however, managed to program elemental magic in the game before the release.

So, the people who bought the game have just signed in to this wonderful world-- Ready for their adventure.
Unknowingly walking into a den of lions in the progress.

The characters will start off with their normal lives if they chose to live outside of the virtual world in their spare time. Most people who have families or pets tend to take breaks from it to physically interact with others. The first few days of the MMO will go normally, raising no suspicion until one day the game refuses for all characters to log out.

Bringing up a simple message that reads ' System Error '. This of course sends some concern for a few days, though the stress levels rise when a few party members of an infamous guild die. They claim they didn't respawn. So-- The game begins.

There are a total of 100 bosses in the game, each placed in a different world. To advance is obvious, defeat the boss in that land. Though-- It is troublesome if you are a solo player. So, many guilds were formed in order to attempt to beat the game quickly.
-----------------------
A few players banded together to grind and defeat the bosses without an abundance of people, as they believed that it would get confusing and overall heartbreaking. Seeing a guild member die was indeed one of the worst fears of every player in the game, especially those who knew each other outside of the virtual dimension. The guild that was created of rather diverse members was named ' Rising Dawn ' .

The characters may be free-form. Though I ask not to create anything too crazy, and I will add that the character creation in this game is advanced and therefore a bit difficult to create your own race. The base races include Human, Giant, Dwarf, Elven, Lyn, and Half-Races. (Usually Half-Human.) * I'd personally like all characters be like divergent from human-kind. But-- Always up for some creativity.
I encourage more than one character, and you can have as many as you can handle! Usually-- Characters in this world will die, and if one of yours happens to.. Make it tragic, make people scream in agony at their friend's death. Okay? Cool.
Ranged classes are allowed, it's just like most MMO weapons, I'll make sure to specify if I see anything wrong with a character and why.

Leveling up is pretty simple, and it wont be an exact science. Like most MMORPGs, the leveling system uses EXP to determine what level you're on. So, stronger monsters mean more EXP and possible item drops depending on the monster. Of course, higher levels take more EXP to pass, and so on.

Hopefully I covered all the basic information, but anything I didn't cover feel free to ask a question in my messages or on the Discord Server.

The day was bright and sunny, there were always clear skies due to the programming. Unidentified birds with low levels flew overhead and the virtual world was bustling with activity. A small Lyn ran through the crowds, excited to buy her new guild-hall in a more secluded part of the first world. The first world was mostly filled with villages and low level monsters in the fields. Though, there were secluded fields that had already been deprived of all the re-spawning creatures.

It was a small wooden structure with broken boards attempting to make a floor and holes in the wall. Guild halls and homes were expensive to buy, so most people rented them. She could never keep up with rent though, so she grinded monsters for what seemed like hours. There was a building skill, obviously. Though, she had never prided herself on building from the vast skills that didn't apply to her. So, she stepped over the holes and sticking up boards and went to explore the recently bought hall. It wasn't much of a hall, it had a back-room and an outside area. If she could afford it, she could probably make the back-room into a cooking and alchemy area, and the outside area a place for any blacksmith that came along. ( If anyone would join her guild at all. )

She pranced around the surrounding fields to see what mobs were there, just the regular rabbit creatures with various boars. The highest thing she saw was off in the distance, a bear near the adorning woods which she guessed to be a level 9 or 10. Some people had already cleared the first boss, but she was too busy doing other things to actually get around to it. Maybe her new guild-members could help her? After a day of running around the area and villages looking for members, she sadly gave up after being denied with many claims that a child couldn't properly run a guild. What bullshit.

Such bullshit that she was done with the game for today, she would just go to sleep -- It was probably late in real life anyway, as the two virtual suns were setting on both sides of the map. One, of course larger in size. She really didn't want to spend her entire night looking at all the three moons like she did yesterday, how could she help herself? It had seemed like they just shrank in size with each one that rose from the horizon! Annoyed, she opened her menu with a gesture of her hand and hastily clicked the logout.

' Server Error '

..What? That had never happened before, she began clicking over and over and nothing worked. The same message came up until after the fifth try the log out button just dispersed from sight.

That was three days ago, and since then she had a few members joining her guild, since guild-halls were expensive and they had been taken up in a hurry after the incident. The first to come was a tall knight looking lady. Boy, was she pretty! The little girl was jumping with joy only to be stopped by the rather unsafe floors of the guild-hall. Then more and more, and she finally felt like she could live again. She won't admit that she had wanted to sink down and die a day after the incident, because she honestly couldn't stand being in this world with no one around she knew. Though, she was going to change that.
She just called a meeting to order in the guild hall, which was only minorly furnished with cheap wooden chairs and tables, and only a few of the boards of the hazardous floor seemed to be repaired. All of the members would be instantly notified through the system, and she had given them a few minutes to show up from their respective quests, or from lounging areas. Not everyone liked constantly grinding. She couldn't reprimand them of course, as she had spent most of her time maintaining the finical aspects of the guild.

Hana had been searching around the dungeon that surrounded the first level boss room. If she had to do one-hundred of these she was going to puke, literally. She could get fed up at ten, but all this work is going to leave her tired. She was mapping out the territory while defeating level 10-15 monsters, the closer she got the harder they seemed to punch. She cut it close a few times, her health going into red-- Though her fingers were trained and healing shortcuts saved. She had made sure her healing items were the first thing she saw when she opened up the menu, a good tactic. They had spent some of the funds on her bad habits of not being able to give up, but she made up for it for the mapping and the major amount of quests she did in a short period of time. She was efficient and risky, and she loved every minute of it.

Her thoughts were cut short at the pinging and notification in front of her face. The dungeon was silent otherwise, her heels clicking on the marble flooring was the only thing that was making noise and when they stopped for her eyes to gaze over the text..Everything was silent. A sudden burst of clicking noises went out through the dungeon, most likely alerting some of the mobs that regularly spawned in the area. Her feet moved elegantly as she headed towards the exit, glancing down at her map every so often.

She had to take a little detour, due to the oncoming Kobolds that she didn't exactly feel like interfering with at the moment. A few more seconds and the woman was rolling out of the exit and running down the stairs to the guild. She was probably the farthest away from the hall, as she was stuck in that stupid place and so therefore by her logic; she had to move the fastest.

A few minutes of huffing and puffing her way after running out of stamina, she eventually staggered into the guildhall with slightly damaged health for attemtping to sprint for a long period of time without stamina. " Present!" She raised her hand in response.

Jason was running some monster bounty quests, a fast way to gain EXP, he had learned. He had got a mini-boss in the Floor 1 to less than 10 health and... a guild notification. "What is it?" In the time it took for him to receive the full message, the monster had fled. "Shit." Noticeably agitated, Jason made his way to the guild hall, arriving in due time. "Cyan1D3 is in the system. Now where the fuck is my sister."

ShimoKori

Shion was wandering alone in a forest full of Level 5 monsters. He would encounter some people on the way, trying to beat those monsters for loot. He didn't care how many monsters there were. He would just use his power to his advantage. He encountered a Giant Lizard while he was walking. It was supposedly one of the harder monsters to beat, but for him, it was a cake walk.

"Freeze."

He uttered that word, and everything around him froze, wrapping everything within a ten-meter radius with frost. The monster seemed to struggle as everything in its body except for its head froze. "Weakling." He said as he pulled out his dagger, and impaled it straight towards its neck. The monster turned into data dust. Traces of the frost would be visible unless someone would melt it, which includes the sun.

He continued to wander around the forest, searching for any harder monsters to beat while his skill recharged.

Emerging from the crowded market, a figure whose silvery hair reflected her elegant robed attire made haste towards the Guild Square, where she would join the Rising Dawn. The Winter Blade, as it was called, took refuge in its slumber upon her back, beneath the white scabbard - of which was wrapped in immaculate white linen sheets that had proved to endure most environment since her stay in Boken. The overlays that hindered her views were now common and situated to her peripheral visions accordingly. A few days had past since her last physical encounter with the world's monsters and mobs, as the swordsman had been keeping herself busy within the confines of the beginning town's errands - completing delivery side quests and crafts that facilitated her talent skills.

"Perhaps it's time I make my entrance? The end of the list..." the swordsman sighed, as she raised a piece of paper in her hand that had most of the guilds' name scratched out, except for one - The Rising Dawn.

Despite being capable as a tank, her blade master class was specifically designed for unsurpassed DPS roles, a big red-flag for most guilds that needed to get through levels quickly. She knew this, and had went out of her way to try for a guild, with no success thus far, as her unorthodox play style and use of her class was quickly dismissed by many. This had given her much free time to roam the streets, studying auxiliary skills, while everyone else was busy training and grinding.

The wandering footsteps that echoed across the Guild's Square came to a halt, as the swordsman laden in her radiant raiment found herself in front of the battered wooden door. She lifted her hand and gave her heads-up-display a few flicks and drags, as a wooden crate materialized and fell between her arms, filled with snacks and bottled juices. A gesture of kindness to some, while a common courtesy from the maiden with white hair, she had thought it to be proper to offer a gift for her induction.

Knock knock!

The blade master retrieved her hand, as the door unhinged before her, revealing the three figures that were present, whose eyes quickly met that of hers. Briefly scanning the room, the swordsman smiled. It wasn't as fancy as the other guilds of which she had stumbled across, but perhaps a fresh relief from its simplicity had caught her heart. Without wasting too much time, she stepped forward, and unpacked the crate on the closest table.

"Is this the Rising Dawn? I saw your notice on the Square's billboards the other day and I am here to offer my service as a Blade Master... I um... also brought some snacks and refreshments! Oh right! I'm Shu." Shu spoke, with a few voice cracks in between her words, overwhelmed by her anxiety and nervousness, despite having made her twenty-seventh guild debut.

Arik Highwind
Roamer

“I’m telling you! Kill la Kill was the epitome of anime way back when. And I mean THE greatest!” Roamer shouted at Arik, his foot squishy a slime into the dirt as he made his statement. “Recent stuff just can’t compete! Seriously, even if it’s kinda ecchi that shit has some pretty important morals too!” the man eyed another slime sneaking up as much as its blobbyness could.

“EXCUSE ME I’M TALKIN HERE! FANGBREAKER!” he splattered the poor blob for its rudeness, the corpse plopping out some slime gel before disappearing.

“Rude, uhh what was I saying?

Oh yea, its a metaphor playing on the whole 'The clothes make the person’ deal, like how we’re putting on these masks to be different characters and stuff right? I mean, I’m not a dog person, but here, I am! And people treat me as such!”
his ears twitched, his tail wagged, indeed to the observer he was, in fact, a dog man halfbreed.

And one with a great deal many fans at that.

But he wasn’t the only one for that matter, but his partner in crime was liked for other reasons.

“But it’s still a magical girl series!” Arik called down from her perch on the ledge, her black armor and crimson scales shimmered slightly in the sunlight. Spotting another cluster of slimes she launched into the air, crashing back into the earth with thunderous force. The shockwave alone was enough to slay the sentient blobs of goo, but they were also level one.

But, potion makers apparently used the goop left behind and would pay for it…

“OH HELL NO IT WASN’T! Don’t you tie it in with that weird stuff! Like hell, those costumes were NOTHING like those frilly dresses and stuff. I mean, while Mew Mew Magical Battlefield has cute characters, it’s in NO way like KLK. KLK has seriousness and stuff!” Roamer protested.

His dragonic friend turned back towards him and cracked her neck, “Does it spend minutes in every episode with a transformation sequence of some kind?”

“....Yea…”

“See? That’s the problem with that whole genre!” Swinging her lance, Arik spattered the remains of another slime across the trees. “If you cut those scenes, you could make another full episode with the time saved! It’s just copy paste filler.”

You're copy paste filler if you believe all that! The transformation sequences are important! And… it’s also kinda really lewd… BUT, that was the point! It’s a coming of age thing, bodies changing as they grow up and all that stuff-”

“Oh, so that’s why you watched it!”

“OH SHUT UP! When we watched that other one we both were pretty damn interested in those scenes dammit! You can’t hold it over somebody if you're hit with it too… Wait… Umm... Arik… Aren’t we supposed to be at the guild hall in like five minutes?” Roamer asked his friend looking up with a raised eyebrow, his right ear twitching as stress from a possibility of being late sank in.

“Hrm?” Dismissing her lance, Arik flicked through a menu with practiced ease. “Huh, was wondering what the pinging was about… Bah, grab the rest of this shit and let’s go.” She started down a barely visible path, “why the hell can’t we just fast travel there…?”

“Because whoever stuck us in here is a nerd and got rid of fast travel. Ugh… Maybe Somebody will cook up a taxi service using elemental magic?” Roamer sighed as he began running down the path.

Entering the guild hall Roamer kicked in the door after Shu, letting his friend follow in after. “WE'RE HERE AND TOTALLY NOT LATE!!!” he shouted into the room still covered a bit in slime… Goop? Guts? Slime?

Arik’s boot met the small of his back in more of a shove than a kick, “No need to make it obvious, fuzzbutt.” She cast a quick glance around the hall, place looked like it was held together with tape and good wishes. “This everyone?”

Roamer crash into a nearby wall. “The hel-” he spotted the guild master. "Hecking darn Arik! No need to push!” He immediately switched to a pg filter on his words.

A halfhearted shrug as the dragoon moved to a chair and sat, not bothering to remove her helmet. “Shouldn’t have stopped in the doorway.”

“IT’S CALLED MAKING AN ENTRANCE!”

[div class=textbox]"Five...four...three...two...and one!" Just then in the small clearing, where it looked like a oddly square crater was formed. A couple of small boars began to materialize, from small little bits of ones and zeros forming a pure white shape and that shape soon filling with a texture and then shading to form a boar.

Immediately after this stunning materialization happened,"Siering Earth!!!" Liv screamed. The sound of her words echoing somehow even though she was outside in a clearing.

The earth began to slowly crack underneath the boars, and light began to peer through the cracks, a vibrant glow of orange coming out of the cracks before flames began to erupt from them. The ground slowly began to turn black in the small 15x15 meter square underneath the boars. Eventually, the ground began to chip away at the boar's health, it went from green to red in almost 3 seconds as they were lower level mobs. The didn't have much time to escape the area and all the boars faded into data dust.

"The damage is pretty good when I have the book equipped though it doesn't seem to do as much as when I have the feather. Not to mention the fact that I still need to equip some charms and apply my buffs to see the full damage this spell book adds or subtracts from my highest damaging loadout." Liv scratched her head, she hated having to wait for boars to spawn to test out her numbers. She had to wait approximately 2 minutes for each boar to spawn. She wishes their guild had money to buy a dummy that they could keep outside. Though that cost a bit that they could use for other stuff, and the fact that Liv's AoE spells would be near the guilds hut and cause problems.

Suddenly she got a guild notification, which she made a ringtone for. It was the light jingle of her guild masters weapon, Liv would know it anywhere."Speaking of the guild." She opened her overlay and saw it called for a meeting. Liv sighed and opened up her loadout and set her usual casual loadout on which was mostly for walking around towns and in the guild hall. It was just a normal nice loadout she liked that her guild members can recognize her easily in.

She was close enough to the guild hall as she mostly stepped out of town to see what she can do about her saved loadout and test out her damage on boars. She did a quick jog over trying to conserve stamina but maximize her drain enough so that it would gain exp. She was outside the guild in a matter of minutes and was able to find the window to the guild hall pouncing through it like a tiger jumping through hoops in a circus. Landing inside on all fours, before getting up on her feet and sitting in the nearest chair. She saw a few of her guild members, while the rest still haven't shown up and a new face?

"Oh a pretty face! Look, look PrimPrin it's a blade master. I thought about choosing that class for damage, but it didn't get the results I get now. Since they are more for single target damage." Liv sat up on top of her chair in excitement. Sitting on the head, while her feet rested on the seat. "Welcome to the guild...uhm. Has she introduced herself yet?"[/div][/div][/div][div class=credit]credits RI.a RI.a [/div][div class=overlay]Liv Taika[/div][div class=tags]Location:Rising Dawn HQ, Guild Square

Bailey was hanging out in the rafters of the guild hall, twirling round her dagger and drinking the game's sorry excuse for cream soda. On hearing her brother return, she got so excited that she fell out of the rafters, saving herself by teleporting to the ground. "Dear God, that was close. Hey bro!" Bailey launched herself at her brother, knocking him over. "Hey everyone else."

Queen Athena

The ring of metal clashing on metal could be heard emitting from the tree line.

“Why won’t you just give up?!” The frustrated question came from a lightly armored man wielding a dagger. There was panic growing in his eyes as his hp bar grew orange.

Athena stepped forward with her large iron shield in one hand and her longsword in the other; the sunlight glinted off her armor. Her health was also in the orange. “As long as I’m using this shield to protect others, I cannot afford to fail.” She glared at the man. Until now at least, he'd obviously though he was better than other players just because he'd gotten to play the game a little early. What a typical beta tester.

This man in particular had been taking advantage of the fact this area was frequented by lower level players looking to grind weak mobs. He’d been intimidating other players into giving him their hard earned loot and/ or gear. There were no reports of him killing anyone, so he was basically just your standard schoolyard bully. She’d been hired to scare him off. “Especially not to a coward." Her eyes were filled with disdain as she looked down on him.

The man scowled. “Damn you!” His dagger began to glow as he activated a skill. In a burst of movement he surged forward much faster than before. His dagger came slashing down in a flash.

Acting out of reactive instinct more than thought, Athena countered with the skill she’d been saving for just such a desperate move. “Knight’s Shield!” Her shield emitted a glow of it’s own shield and swiftly intercepted the man’s attack. The dagger came to a crashing halt on her shield as they met in a mighty clash.

However, Athena’s health still dipped dangerously close to red. Her grip on her sword tightened. “If you’re prepared to kill . . .“ She brought her sword slashing down on the man. “You should be prepared to die!” His health lowered into the red.

Athena held her sword pointed at his chest. “So what’s your answer? Are you prepared to die for this?” She glared at him with intensity.

The man quickly unequipped his dagger and held his hands in the air. He probably thought she was crazy. “I-I give up. You win”

After the man was out of sight, Yuna let out a deep breath before popping a lid of a potion and drinking it. She was so relieved he hadn’t called her bluff. She wasn’t ready at all to kill or die. Her hands were shaking so much that she had difficulty sheathing her sword. The thing was she nearly had died, or at least that last attack would have put her close if she hadn’t reacted fast enough. And what if he’d called her bluff? Yuna practically shivered at the thought. Killing monsters, hell, even killing human NPCs wasn’t too bad; after all, they were just coding in the end, but if what people had send about dying in game was true . . .well she didn’t know if she could handle killing anyone.

Yuna shook her head to dispel these dark thoughts. She really should have asked members of the guild for help, but they seemed more focused on grinding, and she doubted her employers, a party of low level players who’d had their items stolen by the man on multiple occasions, could have afforded to hire them. Yuna brought back the stolen items to the inn the party had been staying at. If she were being honest, the poor kids couldn’t afford to hire her either, but their smiles were more than enough. Besides, it was a knight’s duty to protect those who can’t protect themselves.

After receiving a notification, she made her way back to the guild. She found herself running her finger along the winged decorations of her newly acquired headband. It was a gift from the grateful party. From what Yuna could tell, it didn’t give any stat bonuses, but it was an exclusive fashion item one of the girls somehow managed to get two of from an event on the opening day of the game. Most importantly though she thought it was . . . “Cute.” She reddened ever so slightly and quickened her pace. To be honest, she was kind of excited to show off her new accessory to the guild-master.

Queen Athena, as her username showed, paused at the door to their guild. There were a few faces she didn’t recognize. “Yo.” She gave them all a small wave before walking over to find their guild master. “Did you need my assistance with something, master?”

After Shion was done farming for loot on the forest, he went back to the park square, which is a safe zone. Most people were wandering or strolling around with their friends, but he was alone. After all, he liked to be alone. It makes him feel at ease. He would then stop at the park bulletin board to accomplish some quests, but none of them would give him any benefit. And then, he saw another part of the board. He walked towards there, and that part of the board was filled with guild quests. "Guild. Tsk." He muttered that with disgust. Shion would sometimes get invitations from random people he'd encounter across the monster dungeons, but he rejected them as always. He always thought that when battling with friends can defeat anyone, yadda yadda yadda. For him, the strength of someone is always their strength, and not for others. When you lose, you're weak. When you win, you're strong. Some people might not understand him, but that's just who he is. However, those guild quests were very tempting to accomplish. They give such big loot rewards. Since they were called guild quests, Shion was required to be in a guild to get these quests.

"I think I'll join a guild just for the sake of solo-ing these quests." He frowned.

He browsed a few available guilds, and he just picked a random one out of them. Setting the directions that would lead to the guild hall, Shion started to walk towards the guild called the "Rising Dawn". After a few minutes, he walked inside the building that he assumed to be the guild's HQ. He passed by a white-haired girl who looked nervous, and he thought that the girl was a newcomer. Even though Shion hasn't done this kind of thing before, he spoke up, "Hello, I'd like to join this guild." His voice didn't show any emotion, along with his expression. He gazed at the sitting girl with a red cloak, and he assumed that she was the guild-master because he can feel her aura.

Prime Princess

The girl practically leaped up onto one of the few wooden round tables, that shook slightly due to the coding physics. She shifted her footing, facing the elven woman who recently walked in. She gave her a bright smile which showed pure joy and shook her head. She then pointed at the new members who recently came in. She gave Athena a suggestive wink before announcing her presence to anyone who hadn't already noticed the little Lyn.

" Welcome all new members! " The girl shouted out, putting her hands over her head, and jumping off the table with a huge smile. When she landed, she secured her hands securely on her hips and scurried over to Shu. " Greetings! I'm the guild-master. You may call me ' Princess ' or ' Yu ' " She took one of her hands off of her hip, and held it out for the woman to shake. The bright, open-mouth smile stayed plastered to the girl's face throughout the interaction. She gladly took the offering, and invited the woman into the guild.

After a few clicks on her overlay menu, a prompt came up in front of Shu asking for conformation of her status in the guild. " I really appreciate the gifts and we are so glad to have you. " She then walked over to the man and held out her hand to him and introduced herself kindly. " Hello, I'm the guild-master. You may call me ' Princess ' or ' Yu ' " She stated in her excited voice. " We are glad to have you and you came at a good time. " She did the same thing with him with her overlay menu, inviting him to the guild before scurrying away in a hurry.

" Okay! Hopefully almost everyone is present. " She climbed back on the same table which she had practically done a swan dive off of earlier. " We have saved up enough funds for a guild-hall on the fifth floor, surprisingly. " She wouldn't admit that she had hustled a few players and sold most of the equipment she had received from pity gifts from the much older players after fake-crying when she got hit by a high level creature. She had to do everything for these people, after all. " The bad thing is.. Most of us don't have access to the fifth floor yet-- Not many people do..Maybe that's why it was so cheap? Oh geez.." Now that she had thought it over-- It wasn't exactly a good investment at the time. Since they had thirty days to claim it.

She blinked, looking around at all the faces and then put on a bright expression again. She raised a single arm up in the air, holding her pointer finger high. " So! That's why I called you all here to let you know-- We are going on a major grind of four level bosses. The first two should be easy then we just have to squeeze by the next two. Lemon squeezy! " She announced, her last statement she brought her hand down in a victorious stance, pointing at most of the present guild-members. " Who's with me?!"

FluffySheeps137

The girl stood there, taking in the faces of her apparent new guild-members. She had always found Queen Athena attractive, but when another woman by the name of Shu entered--She couldn't even think straight. She never thought straight, but that was besides the point. She had never found other women in battle to be distracting before despite sometimes not being able to hit a mob because she was staring at Athena, but that was besides the point.

After Princess was done speaking to her, Hana took it upon herself to introduce herself. " Uhm, hello-- Shu was it? I'm Hana, I'm a Lancer. " She held out her hand nervously in greeting. She was hoping the Blade-master hadn't noticed her ridiculous user-name that she picked upon impulse. Curse her terrible impulse control. The Lancer stood there with a small smile on her face hoping that the Blade-master would not only find her socially acceptable but maybe pity her with small conversation.

Though it seemed before they could get much talking in the energized guild-master started her speech. Of course she would call them here for a reason. As the Lancer listened, she realized that--It was in fact, a large reason to be listening. Her eyes widened. They could never beat four level bosses in a small amount of time-- Who did this kid think she was? Or perhaps, what did the kid think we are? Though her energy didn't fail her when she asked who would aid her. Of course, a typical princess.

The woman gave a small chuckle before raising a clenched fist in a victorious stance. " Here, here! "

Shu was flustered at the sight of Yu's kindness and the process of which had expedited the prior's entry of the guild - at a flick of a hand and she was in, with little else asked of her. Shu felt her digital hands and followed suit with a handshake that had been offered. Everyone seemed friendly enough, from the vibrant entrance of what seems to be a pair of siblings, whose classes were noted by their weaponry and armors, to a red mage whose words were quickly picked up by Shu, of which she would slightly bow and smile in return. One after another, the room began to fill up quickly, with a multitude of diverse cast casting aside their differences with eyes and ears tending to the Guildmaster's welcome.

Just like that, at a snap of a finger, the blade master had found a new home, albeit acquainted with strange and unfamiliar faces. Shu had her ground, as a voice reached out to her, following Yu's introduction.

"Uhm, hello-... Shu was it? I'm Hana, I'm a Lancer." said the petite figure, whose name was so adorable, that it matched that of her personnel.

"Pleased to meet you too, Fluffy- Hana. Fufufu. Please help yourself with the sweets and brewed tea. I made them myself! Fufufu." Shu folded her knees to match Hana's height and replied with a smile, while trying her best not to crack a chuckle at the prior's name.

Briefly eyeing the others, stood a knight in full armor, whose class sparked an interest in Shu. Perhaps she could learn much from this player, whose build are meant for prolonged combat, as compared to hers. Although a blade master, Shu had invested much of her capabilities in defense, instead of DPS, which left her with possibly one of the most difficult class to master, due to its contrasting focus. On impulse, Shu waved at the ice mage, as a way of greeting him, without much words to spare, as she herself were not much of a social butterfly in the first place. Shu let off a slight sigh to calm her anxious heart, tying her hair up with a blue tie, while laying her sword to rest on her thighs, as she took her seat on an empty table. Perhaps time will tell if all is well, as Shu fell back to the corner of the room and awaited what the Guildmaster has to say next.

Shu attentively noted the guild's situation and the objectives that followed, before smiling and raising her hand in support of their upcoming expedition.

"Hip hip hooray!" Shu cheered.

On being tackled to the ground, Jason made a sort of yelping noise as he had the wind knocked out of him. Quickly getting up, he turned to the guild-master and all the new recruits. "I look forward to working with you all. I am interested to see how our... varying play-styles compliment each other. I have some... experience fighting the 4th floor bosses and have visited the 5th floor once myself. Hopefully I may be useful to everyone."

Bailey rolled off of her brother and attempted a curtsy. "I, too, look forward to all this guild's future adventures and doing all we can to make the most of this siuation!" Bailey then held up her drink, which she somehow managed to not spill when she fell from the rafters, and made a toast. "To The Rising Dawn!"

Shion switched his gaze towards the small girl-- well, a kid. Who's this kid? Is she lost? He thought with a confused look on his face, but it became even more confused when she claimed that she was the guild master. He looked at the red-cloaked girl, and back at the kid. This is... unusual. He thought, but he just accepted the fact that she was the guild master because she seemed respected. After all, it might not be good for him if he quickly assumed that the small girl was just a kid. He managed to smile when he noticed the guild's fun and active atmosphere. Shion wasn't used to these kinds of gatherings, but he was kind of happy that he experienced it for the first time in a while. Still, that doesn't mean that he would stay here, though. After completing every guild quest, he'd just leave anyway, if he doesn't change his mind.

Shion actually felt excited when the guild master announced that the whole guild will grind with the bosses. If possible, he'd just try to solo them. After all, it is possible for him to solo-fight the bosses judging from his skill and level, but he didn't try to do it. With a smile on his face, he raised his hand and waved at everyone, but specifically no one. "H-hello. Please call me Moki." His username was ShimoKori, but he doesn't want to be called Shimo or Kori. He'd rather want to be called Moki.

[div class=textbox]Just then another face walked into the room, it was a rather dull looking face to Liv. He showed little emotion with his words and his expression, but Liv saw that he looked at her and chuckled a bit at his confused look after seeing the guild master. Liv wondered what he was expecting. She made a mental note and watched as her guild master greeted both of the new arrivals. Liv gave a smile and a wave saying, "Welcome Shu and Moki." The guild master also welcomed back Queen Athena, she had a fancy new accessory that Liv would have to compliment after their meeting had come to a close. She took another note. Now that the guild master had finished welcoming and introducing herself to the newbies she climbed back on top of her...table throne and announced the purchase of their guild hall on the fifth floor. Liv was in shock and she even looked physically angered tapping her fingertips on her forehead and looking at the ground. Though her head perked back up at the announcement of the guilds grind for higher levels and bosses, now that was exciting and made her almost forget about the guild masters mistake with money. Liv raised her arms up high and shouted, "I am with you, though with a grudge!" her face was happy but her words were filled with disdain.

Now that the meeting had been concluded they were all free right? So Liv quickly rushed over to Shu and gave her a quick wave and smile, "Hey there, welcome to the guild. My name is Liv and I am one of the mages, just thought I introduce myself before darting off to the other." After that she did as she said and darted off towards Moki.

She was able to walk past Athena and say, "Hey Athena, cute accessory you are gonna have to tell me how you got it later." it came out fast and before Athena could respond Liv was already next to Moki. She stopped and gave a small wave to the new guy, though her smile was off. It looked a bit mischievous. "Hey there Moki. Welcome to the guild, you looked a bit surprised to see the guild master. Was she not what you expected?" Liv then leaned forward and moved her hand to cover her mouth from everyone's sight and whispered. "She is not what I expected either, but she is alright for a guild master."

Her body was emanating a somewhat warm aura, not the comforting kind but more so the kind that people begin to sweat in. She slowly began to lean back into an upright position and cross her legs in front of her. "Now onto the real question. You seem like the kind of person that can help me test out some spells and builds I have in my loadouts. I am guessing your class is something like a rogue, or maybe a mage, or you can even be a shortsword sword class. Like a knight or something, though why would you carry a dagger for a shortsword class? Anyways, I am guessing mage or rogue from your outfit and weapon, am I right?"

Queen Athena

Athena watched their guild master, Prime Princess, with a tiny smile on her face; their master was just so freaking adorable, and her happy smile was nice contrast to how sad she’d seemed when they first met. Yuna didn’t view herself as particularly strong or brave, but she had decided that she’d do her best to preserve that smile. Without the girl’s parents around, someone had to, right?

Athena’s smile faded as she watched Princess accept the newcomers with no questions asked. Sure they couldn’t exactly afford to be all that picky, but they also couldn’t afford to be all that trusting . . . She glanced at the two new members and blushed ever so slightly . . . even if they both were fairly attractive. She shook her head to clear her thoughts. It may not seem like it given their current situation, but these were just their avatars; no need to get worked up over them.

The line of indifference that was her lips bent into a minuscule frown when she heard Princesses’ plan. It sounded pretty crazy, but it was hard to stay mad at the girl especially when she seemed so excited. Even so, Athena wouldn’t be so easily won over, and she wasn’t really one for dramatic outbursts either. She sighed and shook her head. “...you really should talk things over with someone before you just go and make big decisions like that, Master.” She looked up at Princess, place a hand on the hilt of her sword, and gave a small, supporting smile. “But, as always, you have my sword.”

Moments later one of their previous members, their trendy mage, commented on Athena’s newly won accessory. The unexpected compliment caused the elf to redden a little, but before she could respond Liv was already off to talk to the new members. Athena was left running her hand along the winged accessory once again.

She decided she should turn her attention to their newest members as well. Athena stood at a distance for a while watching them in an attempt to access their character before approaching. “Welcome to the guild.” She bowed in greeting. “It is a pleasure to meet you both. I am Athena; I’m a member of the knight class . . .” Her face grew extremely serious. “. . . so it is my duty to protect my fellow guild members from any threats.” She looked at them pointedly. Considering what she’d just had to deal with, Athena wasn’t particularly trusting of players she didn’t know. She wanted to make it clear that being accepted almost instantly into the guild didn’t mean no one was watching them.

"She is not what I expected either, but she is alright for a guild master." The girl with the red cloak who introduced herself as Liv said to him. Shion looked back at the short energetic girl, or should he say, guild master. It doesn't seem like she's the type of person to handle a guild, but I think you'd be great at it. He wanted to say to Liv, but he's too embarrassed to say so. Maintaining an emotionless look on his face, he shook that thought off his head and decided to walk towards the guild board and clear those guild quests with good rewards. When he was about to walk off, Liv decided to continue the conversation with him. Shion was an antisocial person, but that doesn't seem he would be the kind of person that is really bad to talk to.

He nodded, "Yeah. I'm a mage. To be specific, a frost-class mage." He continued. "I keep my dagger with me so I can fight without spending too much of my magic." Suddenly, Shion felt the sudden change in temperature when she walked near him. The heat wasn't intense, but it was somewhat tolerable. It didn't disturb Shion that much though since he was emanating a faint coolness from his body. Shion shifted his gaze from Liv to the girl who introduced herself as Athena. Seeing that she struck him and the other new girl a serious look after her statement, he couldn't help but change his expression to a serious look as well. Shion faced Athena. "So, you're implying that we are threats?" He said. "I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing, but I assume that you're implying the bad thing."

The girl clapped, hopefully silencing the hall. " Alright! " She paused, stomping her foot down and pointing her hand upwards above her head with her pointer finger extended. " We'll be heading out in thirty minutes! " She jumped off her table, looking around at the several faces laid before her. " Today I hope to defeat the first two bosses, they should be easy for big baddies like you guys! I'll announce when we'll be heading out in awhile. Have fun together until then. " She then waved dismissively as if she was attempting to wave their attention away from her.

She turned to her side and walked over to Athena, looking up at her. " Is that new? " She asked, pointing at the headband. " It's very pretty. " She smiled up at her, with her sweet innocent expression. She then turned to the Ice-mage and Blade-master. " Sorry I didn't get to talk to you both a bunch, I was just excited to get that stuff out. " She then looked over to the woman that the flustered woman was talking to. She smiled just as wide at her. " I see you already met some of our group members, I hope you like them all. They are all really nice-- To me at least! " The girl giggled before walking off to get ready for the several harsh raids to come.

The Lancer smiled at Shu, her cheeks red with embarrassment. " Uhh-- Yeah, I sure will..Try some.. " She scratched the back of her head while nervously chuckling. She then sat down with the Blade-master in an attempt to socialize. This was usually the exact same thing that would happen with the Knight, she would easily mess up any conversation by her constant stuttering and mispronunciation of words. What a way to greet a new guild member.

" Sorry for being awkward, I hope you like most of the people here. The guild master is really sweet, Athena is very strong.. Liv--Is well, Liv. " She smiled genuinely for once, it was obvious this one wasn't as forced as the others. " If there's anything you'd like to know, feel free to ask me -- Some of the members can be really intimidating at times. " She glanced over at Athena who was standing there in all her elven glory. " ..Yeah... "
