Please Note: I will be accepting 6-8 tenants to be a part of this roleplay that will most likely be in the 20+ age range because I'd really like this to be a sort of 'coming of age' story for adults who for once get the happiness that they deserve in their lives. Dae-hyun got into an argument with his oldest sister over his issues. He went out to drink, got drunk as hell, and was found sleeping on the ground by Madam Jung. After frequenting the place for a few days, he thought he might as well move in.

Dae-hyun[/div][/div][div class=biotext]Born on Jeju Island to a fisherman and clam diver, Seo Dae-hyun lived a relatively happy life as a child. He had parents that pampered him and two loving sisters that were his protectors. Growing up, there was really nothing that could hurt him as he was a strong boy that was given the space to flourish.

Around the age of 15 (kor.), Dae-hyun’s father died when his boat crashed during a storm. That left his mother to take on the role of bread winner but that wasn’t enough. The three siblings were forced to get part-time jobs in order to support the family.

In order to take care of his family, Dae-Hyun enlisted right out of secondary school and began his life as a Korean soldier. He eventually became a military officer, specializing in engineering. While stationed in Afghanistan, his base was attacked and that left many dying soldiers in his hands.

The event left him shaken and very traumatized. The military then placed him on a temporary probation due to multiple disruptions caused by alcohol and PTSD, and they told him he needed to attend therapy sessions if he wanted to return. After being dismissed, however, Dae-hyun moved to Seoul where his family now resided but they were less than welcoming. His behavior was very disruptive and endangering, especially to his nieces and nephews. It didn't help that his mother was ill and hospitalized and it wasn't long before his sisters gave up on him.

One night after getting black out drunk, an elderly woman came across and passed out Dae-hyun. She managed to lead him towards her boarding home, where his new life would begin.

reason for moving into the boarding house | Eunha moved into the boarding house after she met Mrs. Jung at the hospital as she was one of her patients. The elderly woman had gotten quite sick after her husband's death since nobody was there to really take care of her anymore. Since she had been transferred to Gamcheon due to them looking for a head doctor, she was looking for a better place to stay. Mrs. Jung invited her to live in the boarding house till she got back on her feet and she hasn't moved since. She is still Mrs. Jung's primary doctor and makes sure the woman is taken care of.

background | Eunha was born as an only child in Feburary in Busan. Her parents had moved there from Busan due to her mother's buisness transferring her to Seoul when Eunha was around 12. She lived a comfortable life with both of her parents, having a stay at home father due to him having suffered a back injury in his own line of work. It wasn't so bad for Eunha and she quite enjoyed her life. Her childhood was relatively uneventful as she didn't really see any of her extended family due to her parents being kind of shut out by their own families. Her mother (Min-a)h had gotten pregnant as a teenager which got her kicked out of the house, the same pretty much happening to her father (Hyeok). Even though there were many issues, the trio managed to get by because of her mother's ability to secure a fairly decent job.

It was in high school that Eunha decided that she wanted to go into the medical field. She knew that if she secured herself a job as a doctor at a well-known hospital then she would be able to provide for her parents and help them live a good life. Her spare time was spent slaving away over her homework in order to get the best grades and do whatever she could to get accepted into the best medical school possible. In her time in college, she met a boy at a local library. It was like a perfect scene from a drama. The boy was reaching for the same book that she was reaching for. The rest is history. The pair got to know each other over coffee and sleepless nights studying for exams. But to them, it was worth it. They dated and had fun while doing so, only falling more in love with each other. The pieces of her life began to fall into place for once. When she graduated, the pair moved to Busan where she eventually secured a job at a hospital, but also a husband. A perfect love story right?

It wasn't perfect at all. The long hours that Eunha worked put a strain on the relationship between the newlywed couple, but they still tried to live happily. It became a routine that they could live with in all honesty. It wasn't until she got pregnant that things got better. They were both extremely happy and the announcement of a baby mended their marriage. But it seemed that it wasn't meant to be. Eunha had been getting off of work and was driving home when she experienced pains and bleeding. It was a long and traumatic night for the couple and it left Eunha devastated. She isolated herself from her husband and drowned herself in work to cope with the grief. The silence and pain they shared created a void before they even knew it.

After a long talk, it was decided. They were going to end it. He explained that he still loved her and didn't blame her, actually he was the one who wanted to keep trying to make their marriage work, but Eunha wouldn't have it. She told her husband that she loved him too much to put him through such a lonely marriage. Their divorce happened and left Eunha alone to focus on work and her ex to find happiness with an old high school classmate. The miscarriage and divorce caused her to feel like her life was meant to only be lived alone. Which was why she was grateful to be transferred away from the life she had once had and into a new one. It's been three years since the divorce and she still has a hard time talking about it. Her parents have often reached out to her to see if she will visit them, and while sometimes she happily visits, other times she can't bear the thought of going back as they moved back to Busan to be closer to her.

When she moved into the boarding house, it had been an idea that probably didn't seem all that smart at the time. But it was just the thing that she needed to keep her distracted. Eunha found a place where she wasn't the divorced girl or the woman who failed at carrying her own child. She was a doctor, a friend, an older sister figure, anything that anyone needed her to be. It was a good change and it caused her to socialize more with those around her, along with learning how to do things like cooking without burning anything.

Background: Born in the bustling city of Chicago, In-su was the eldest of two children. His parents were young immigrants who were simply trying to build their dream in a new place that they had hoped would hold new opportunities. Instead, every new day was crammed with new disappointments. By the time In-su’s sister came along, the young family was swimming in debt and struggling to find their footing. Then, tragedy struck when In-su’s mother fell sick shortly after giving birth and she ended up spending months in the hospital as the doctors tried to figure out what was wrong. It changed In-su’s father, watching his love fade away while he stood helplessly by, with both of his children too young to know how to help. In-su’s mother died when he was seven. In many of the ways that mattered, life stayed the same. Whenever he wasn’t in school, he was most often home alone, trying to scrape together enough food to call dinner for himself and his sister. When his father came home, the apartment somehow felt even more empty and dead, but In-su tried his best not to let it affect him.
When his father died in a freak accident at the factory where he worked, In-su was more shocked than sad. After the shock wore off, then came the worries of where he and his sister would go. But like a descending angel, his grandmother appeared and took them both in. Her home was modest and everything was a little worn out, but she tried very hard to make it a safe-haven for the three of them. In-su started working part-time in highschool to try to help his grandmother out, since they were all living on what his grandfather had left behind. She protested, saying she wanted him to focus on his studies, but he didn’t mind. While he always had passing grades in school, it wasn’t what drew his interests.
He ended up going to a decent college for a degree in Literature and Creative Writing. It wasn’t until his younger sister was also in college that his grandmother passed away quietly, in her sleep. His sister was heartbroken, wondering if things would have been different if she had still been there to keep their grandmother’s spirits up, but In-su did his best to reassure her. After a few weeks off to plan the funeral and to grieve, there was nothing left to do but go back to daily life. But In-su found himself struggling. Luckily, he graduated a couple weeks later, but it still didn’t steady him. Finally he decided to go to his grandmother’s birthplace in Busan, hoping that it would show him what he should do next with his life. He was sorry to leave his sister, but she was highly intelligent and thriving in her life, so she would be fine.
He hadn’t really been sure what he was looking for by traveling halfway around the world, but somehow he still found it in Busan. Deciding to settle in for a while, he got a job and looked for a more permanent home. It was pure chance that he found Madam Jung on the streets one day and he remarked that she reminded him of his grandmother. After he moved in, he realized that this was exactly what he needed and settled in for a long stay.

Personality: Above all Tyler's many characteristics the thing that stands out the most is creativity. Tyler sings, dances and plays piano. There was no doubt about him being multi talented. He was also very smart, knowing there languages (Korean English and Māori). His mood however is his biggest downfall. Ever since him and his fiancé split his emotions have been all fucked up. He is heartbroken and the cheery side of him simply cannot come back. He trusts people and loves people too much to the point where he is struggling to cope with betrayal. Before he was a happy to lucky guy who was overly optimistic and kind of annoying. He is a husk of that now.

*Grew up happy wasn't much he ever really needed to complain about. He had a good family and good friends.
*Tyler worked his butt off to get into this arts academy and graduated at 17 with great grades.
*Wanted to do so much with his life. Travelling, acting, singing, dancing, teaching, everything. Only he couldn't. He wasn't the richest kid in the world.
*He met a korean guy online when he was 18. He was 22. They instantly hit it off and within a few months he came to visit him. The guy was handsome and well paid. He promised him that if they were together he'd never have to work long hours again. He had fallen hard for this guy even moving to Korea to be with him. When he proposed four years later it was a dream come true. They immediately started saving up money for the perfect wedding. He couldn't wait to marry the love of his life.
*A few months after is when it happened. An old friend hit him up saying that a teen he was friends with in Korea had sex with a guy who was engaged to be married and that he had the same name as Tyler's fiancé. He didn't want to believe it but after going through his fiancé's phone late at night he soon found the messages. He'd been seeing numerous people behind his back. He was heartbroken. So he packed a large bag and took their wedding savings jar. He left a note saying he knew what had been happening and that they were done.
*He soon looked for a new place. He couldn't find anywhere cheap enough and he needed a better paying job than a piano and dance teacher as he was no longer with his fiancé. He found a waiting position at a restaurant which just so happened to be down the road from a boarding house. He met up with the owner and Mrs Jung happily opened her home to him. Tyler was tired, upset and in need of stability. No one could turn that away.
