Ah yes, pain
Hey! Thanks for taking a look at this! We began this RP about a month ago with a massive burst of energy that died quite quickly. However, we do still have a few dedicated players and I thought that instead of watching the RP die, I could re-open applications! We are partway through the practical exam (more information below) and we're not really making any progress, so it's a great place to join. Please submit a CS below, and I will let you know if you're accepted. If you're accepted, I'll add you to the main thread where we also have an OOC, IC Chat thread, official CS thread, and a little scrap of a lore thread/info dump that will be improved upon eventually. All I ask is that you commit to being active, posting at a rate that you're comfortable, but remaining in contact through the OOC so we don't wonder whether you've left or not! Please help us get this plot-line back on it's feet! We have enough teacher roles now, but I may still accept some student roles.
An expansive, pristine school campus lies in the depths of the city of Tokyo, providing a quiet and clean place to learn amid the hustle and bustle of the big city. Within it's vast gardens lies a high school with one of the most highly respected hero courses in the world: Sakura High. It's every aspiring youth's dream to get into this school, but with an entrance rate of 0.05%, it's unattainable to all but the best. Will you make the cut?
...
You are an orphan. A statistic. A number. Another mouth to feed. You have friends here, or maybe enemies? Maybe you care nothing for the others that call this place home. But you all have one thing in common. You are the children of fallen heroes. Maybe you knew them, maybe you didn't, but here at Tokyo Home for Children of the Fallen (THCF), you are given a chance to thrive. A quirk counsellor lives in the building, and you're given free quirk counselling when you need it. When you're of age and if you should desire to follow your parents' paths, you'll take the entrance exam as a recommended applicant, and the quirk counsellor will give the staff of the school a report on your quirk and it's abilities. Their eyes will be on you. You'll have to prove you're worthy of course, cause no one's going to hand it to you. So, on the day of Sakura High's entrance exam, you and your peers find yourselves at the gate, lined up among hundreds, maybe even a thousand other youth with the same dream as yours. To become a hero.
...
Welcome to BNHA- Orphans of Tokyo!! I have a variety of roles available, just tell me who you want to be and write up a character sheet! If you're approved by the board of GMs, you're in! This RP will take place at Sakura High (since after passing the exam they won't live at the orphanage anymore). We want this RP to be active, so I'm requiring at the very least one post per week. Posts don't have to be lengthy, but please help to move along the plot! One liners are heavily discouraged.

Here is the information on the practical exam:
"AHA! Found it! Sakura High Practical Exam Introduction, or That Time I Made a Bunch of Freshmen Cry.... Whoops you weren't supposed to hear that last part.... Oh well...." Gatekeeper smiled awkwardly as he rubbed the back of his head, the storm of papers at last coming to rest, though one obstinate page rested lazily atop his head.
"Those of you who have made the decision to dedicate yourself to the life of a Hero, let me be the first to thank you for your service. However, as you are aware, Sakura High receives thousands of applicants every year, and in the interest of providing the best education and preparation for your future career as possible, we cannot take all of you. Now that you have completed the written portion of our entrance exam, you will be presented with the Practical Exam. This is your chance to demonstrate to us just how much you have to offer as a potential student. Consider this a job interview, and show us your best." He read from the script, pausing to flash a smile at the students before flipping the page with a flamboyant flourish.
"For this practical exam, we will simulate a villain attack. Throughout the training grounds, there will be robot antagonists for you to defeat. These are worth anywhere from one to fifty points depending on the difficulty of the robot and the methods used to take it down. This, however, isn't the only grading criteria. There will be five pillars which you will be graded on in addition to the points earned from the robots. However, in the interest of seeing your genuine ability and thought process, we will not be telling you the specifics of these pillars before hand. Your objective is to defeat or repel the villains, protect and tend to civilians, and show us exactly how you intend to handle yourself as a Hero in a dire situation. For each of our grading pillars, you will start out with 50/100 points. You gain or lose points in accordance with your actions during the exam. If your score in any of our criteria hits zero, you will fail the exam and be removed. If you fail, this does not mean you cannot be a Hero, it just means that you are not quite ready for the rigors of our particular Hero course. You are also more than welcome to try again next year, and you will receive critiques in the mail as to where you should focus on improving." He explained as he read directly from the script without ever taking his eyes off of it. For someone who was known as an actor, you'd think he'd have memorized his lines....
"One more thing. Some of Sakura High's Staff and Faculty have elected to stand in as villains for this Practical Exam. If you face off against them, they will personally grade your performance, and they have been instructed to grade very harshly. It is likely in your best interest not to face them. As a last word of caution: This practical exam is going to simulate the danger you can expect to face as a Hero. There is a very real risk of personal injury or death. By taking this exam, you consent to the risks and absolve Sakura High of any liability. Any of you who would like to bow out may do so now. Step quickly now" Ryu remarked, pulling a pocket watch from his pocket to keep track of the time. Every year, there were always some that heard that liability warning and chickened out. It was that first reality check that being a Hero was actually a dangerous line of work. Seats creaked as those who weren't ready left the room. When silence returned, Ryu looked up from his watch.
"Well, that was your last chance to bow out. If you're still here, that means you're going for broke. To those of you still here, I wish you good luck. Your time starts...." He trailed off, snapping his fingers as the entire floor turned black. Without warning, all of the students and their desks were dropped in front of a giant archway. Beyond that Archway was the Fifth Training Grounds, a sprawling cityscape designed to test students in an urban environment. Even now, they could hear the sounds of crashing, civilians screaming for help, and more.
Above the archway, Ryu's face appeared once more. With a playful smirk, he finished the sentence he had started before warping them to the training zone.
"Now"
