Spells & Abilities:

Chosen of Akriel

Restrictions:

This is a passive skill. It's effect is always in play.

Effect:

The Galemaw is a master of the skies and the strongest spawn of Akriel. Because of this, Galemaws appear invisible and undetectable while in flight. They become fully visible if grounded.

Beak & Claw

Restrictions:

This is a passive skill. It's effect is always in play.

Effect:

The Galemaw may perform 3 attacks each round, on up to three seperate targets. One target may be struck with the creatures beak, the others struck with the creatures claws.

Uplift

Restrictions:

This skill can be used as an action instead of attack with the galemaws talons.

Effect:

The Galemaw grabs a person with their claws. A person who is bound by a Galemaw is not able to make an action. A successful D6 roll is required to avoid the grapple. On the turn a target is picked up, they take

normal damage

. On the following turn, the Galemaw throws them to the ground, where they will take

4D6 damage

unless the fall is prevented. The target is not able to act on the turn they are thrown.

Presence of Patience

Restrictions:

This skill can be used as full action, preventing any other actions by the Galemaw.

Effect:

The Galemaw lands on the ground, becoming fully visible and revealing it's true form. In this state, the Galemaw shrieks loudly, stunning all targets who fail a D6 roll. No damage or actions can prevent the shrieking or move the Galemaw.

This ability can be channeled for multiple rounds. Each round the Galemaw shrieks, All targets receive -1 to their dice roll. This will accumulate up to -6 on the seventh round which makes everyone automatically fail. Each round the Galemaw shrieks, there is a 50% chance another Galemaw will appear and come to the shrieking Galemaws protection.

For each Galwmaw Shrieking, there is an additional -1 to the save against becoming stunned as well as a 25% bonus chance to successfully call another Galemaw.

If there are 4 Galemaws shrieking together, there is a 25% chance to summon Akriel each round. This chance increases by 25% for each additional Galemaw after 4.

Appearance: Galemaws are completely invisible while in flight. They can only be detected by other creatures capable of detecting auras. Whiel visible they resemble a dragon and eagle hybrid. The creatures have long serpantine bodies, which are covered in golden feathers. They have two large talons to support their body yet no arms. Their wings are colossal with a wingspan easily twenty feet across. The head resembles that of an eagle or other bird of prey, however, the feathers on the head are black.

Important Notes: Galesmaws are very important to Akriel, those who harm or help them will likely be known to Akriel. The Galemaw is often used to scout large tracks of land for Akriel, as well as to defend and warn Akriel of Threats.

I really like what you did with the idea of Akriel from my post. Its so scary...

Amendment:

I gave Galemaws the concept of 'The Predatory Nature of a Flock'. This is shown by their group oriented methods (calling for help) as well as their stealthy nature and attacks (to lift and drop, a method used by many birds).

I removed tranquility, as predatory birds do not pacify enemies.
