Effect: Toxic Spores lift off of the Farn Kreatur, resulting in the wind becoming a deadly mist of poison. Any creature that is in downwind of the Farn Kreatur is caught in the mist, and must make a successful d6 roll to avoid inhaling the spores, after noticing the spores coming towards them. If they fail this roll, they will lose one health per hour for a period of twenty-four hours. This can be reduced to one health every two hours if they consume large quantities of water, or immerse themselves in water. If target creature dies will spores are present in the body, then the spores will begin to consolidate into a new Farn Kreatur.
Appearance: Farn Kreatur are parasitic creatures that resemble plants. One of the strangest features of these creatures is their reproduction, which closely resembles that of ferns, hence the species's name. They release spores for two reasons, one to reproduce, as their lifespan is relatively short, and two, to add more nutrients to the soil that they grow in. Farn Kreatur only live as long as they can produce spores, and are only able to produce spores if there is dead tissue for them to decompose. Without the tissue, they are unable to produce these spores, and while they can still feed on some nutrients in the ground, the abnormally high amount of nitrates needed by these creatures means that they will starve within three days. These creatures are approximately 5 feet tall and weight 30 pounds. They grow straight out of the corpse of the creature that the spores from their parent killed. They are a dark brown in color, and tend to look like large mushrooms, however, their eyes stare into their surroundings with disinterest, and it is only by reflex that more spores are released up the sighting of living creatures.
Important Notes: Large quantities of water will kill the spores of these creatures, or remove them from the body of any creature within 3 days of consumption. These creatures have long since lost the ability to move, as they seemed to evolve to simply sit in one place. They are still deadly however, as the remnants of their reflexes force them to continue the existence of their species through the release of spores. Their spores are relatively large, and thus are visible to the naked eye, allowing for one to attempt to close one's mouth and nostrils while attempting to flee.
