Other World Kai is a fandom crossover between the Dragon Ball franchise and Yu Yu Hakusho. While the roleplay will focus on action and adventure, power levels will be drawn back heavily and the narrative focus will be geared to emphasize style and unique techniques, similar to the original Dragon Ball. The face value of the mortal world within this universe will be similar to that of the Dragon Ball universe, including the Dragon Balls and alien races. Elements of Yu Yu Hakusho will begin to appear in the afterlife and with demons, spirits and communication between the worlds.
It is possible to look to both anime for inspiration. The roleplay will have a darker atmosphere than Dragon Ball, but it will be more adventure-oriented than Yu Yu Hakusho. Character development, interaction and even a core plotline will arise, but it will not be strictly linear. Notions of good and evil won't necessarily exist. There may not always be a villain, and characters created by roleplayers don't necessarily need to be heroes. In this world, it will power, potential and above all training that act as keys to plot progression. Other World Kai is a seed to be planted, and the direction it grows will depend on the gardeners of the plot.

The Other World
The Other World is a phrase used to refer to the afterlife and the realms that comprise it. The world of the living is the primary setting of the roleplay (for now) and is significantly inspired by the Dragon Ball universe. The Other World, however, uses elements of both Dragon Ball and Yu Yu Hakusho, and more about it will be revealed as the roleplay progresses. Thus, as more is learned about the Other World, more entries will be made here.

Little is known about the Other World, although it is believed there exists a Heaven and Hell. Legends of angels assisting mortal men in times of need are rivaled by myths of demons and darkness that tempt and even destroy mankind. Very few in the world of the living know anything tangible about the Other World, and those that do are normally masters of ki or fortune tellers that have a spiritual connection to it. Even then, what they know is somewhat questionable. Opinions about the afterlife and even what happens when someone dies are presently just that: opinions. And, until further entries, there is no reason for them to be considered anything else.
