Blood and Water (♠ Blue Suit ♠)

"Hm? Oh, not really" She did like to see things like that. However, mostly because she had always admired such beautiful works and the people who such skillfully made them. As any girl, she guessed, she did liked to see them. Also, it was sort of simple. She didn't like really extravagant things, but pretty simple things like that, she found them wonderful. Besides, she hadn't really wanted that bracelet for herself. "Can I have your hand for a moment?" She asked as she held out hers.

Tome blinked at her, confused, but nodded anyway and let her have his hand. "For what?" He asked, curious though he'd already given it to her. Did she want to take him somewhere or something? Should he stand up? He would have to get Joachim before they could go anywhere, or the poor little guy would cry.

Mia just smiled in a bit of a silly mysterious manner, obviously not serious. Then, she carefully and quickly slipped the bracelet into his wrist. It fit perfectly but not tightly, in fact, it was big enough for it to move up or down depending on how Tome moved his arm "Perfect" She declared with a bright smile. Fortunately, as she had thought, it was simple. If not, it'd look girly on him. But for her, that one was perfect.

It happened a little too quickly and unexpectedly for Tome to register at first, but then she'd let him go and he was staring at his own wrist like something had gone horribly wrong with it. His expression softened, though, and he curled his fingers loosely around the bracelet, glancing up at her. "It . . . It's for me?" No one ever gave him gifts. . .

"Of course" Without hesitating, at first she said it in a bit of a matter-of-fact tone of voice but then her expression grew uneasy. He had said it was pretty… What if he had said so out of simple courtesy? "Ah… Don't you like it?" She kept the disappointment away when she spoke those words. She really had thought of him even since she had first laid her eye on that piece of work.

Tome tucked his arm back against his legs again, as if she might try to take it away, and kept his other hand curled over it to keep it safe, glancing between it and her. "N-No, I - I like it." He shook his head a little, looking a bit uncomfortably at the ground in front of him. "I don't . . . I don't really get gifts. . ." Ever. It was difficult, accepting the fact that someone actually wanted to give him something with no strings attached.

Mia stared at him for a moment, brow raised and silent. Ah… So that's how it is She thought to herself as her own gaze softened and a small, warm smile settled on her face "I'm glad you like it" She finally said, deciding not to add anything concerning what he had told her after that. It was the first time she felt that happy for having given something away.

Tome rubbed absentmindedly at the smooth surface of the bracelet, and over the stone at the top, and sighed softly, happily. Joachim squeaked at them from where he'd been tossing about in the water and stumbled out of the basin to come running over to Mia, happy to see her back. Tome smiled faintly and just watched him rub water all over her feet and ankles. "He had fun while you were gone, but he probably missed you still."

Mia's attention was quickly stolen by the little dragon when he approached her. She didn't mind him being wet, and so that didn't stop her from picking him up on her arms and rubbing her nose against his snout softly and affectionately "I missed you too" She told him with a happy smile before gently letting him down again. "So… Did the little ones stayed on top of you for long?" Turning her head to the side, she asked Tome.

Tome shrugged slightly. "For a little while. Then I stopped moving long enough that they lost interest and started running around again. At least playing in the water means we wont have to bathe him again, hopefully." If they could avoid that for as long as possible, he would. It would really be a chore once Joachim got bigger.

"Daddy is not that fond of bathing you" Mia told Joachim with a smile as she reached for his belly to rub it with her fingers as she knew he liked. "It's nice to see the other little ones having fun" She declared as she raised her head to take a look of the rest.

Joachim squirmed and rumbled happily while Tome made a little bit of a face. "Hey, you're not the one who's going to have bruises on their wrists when he gets older. That tail is brutal." But he didn't mind that part, really. It wasn't like Joachim knew he was hurting anyone. He was still a baby. "One of them fell in when he tried to drink and made a splash, and the rest of them just piled in after. . . I don't think Malia will be happy that they're frolicking in their drinking water, but at least they're having fun."

For a moment, she just looked over at the other dragons in awe. The little ones were really adorable and she liked them quite a lot. When Tome mentioned Malia she was reminded of something "Oh! Speaking about her. I was told she buys some dragon lilies so as to treat the dragons. I was going to be sold that but… I wasn't too sure. Would you think it'd be okay to buy it?" She did say she was going to ask Tome about it.

Tome looked at her, tilting his head a little to the side. "Treat?" He thought about it, wondering how a plant was a treat, but shrugged. "If he'll like, we can get it for him. . . We'd have to give it to him when we're in our room, though." He didn't want the other babies getting jealous if they didn't have enough for everyone.

"Sure" Mathis had told her that her little one would love them and as he seemed to be quite confident about it, Mia couldn't help it but feel confident herself "I'll go and get them tomorrow then" She declared with a nod.

Tome nodded a little, glancing at the little ones to be sure everything was okay, then looking up at where she held Joachim. "Do you want me to come with you? We could bring Joachim. Maybe he should see more of the town, since he slept all the way here after he hatched." Tome didn't want the dragonry to be all the little dragon knew.

"Oh, that'd be great" First she looked up at Tome before glancing down at Joachim "That way, we can also see if he likes the lilies or not" She could almost picture it already, Joachim with those big curious eyes of his glancing around happily.

Tome nodded a little, finally just getting up to his feet and brushing the dirt from his clothes. "Will they let him try it first, before we buy too much?" Tome didn't really mind wasting a bit of money for Joachim, or for Mia, but he thought they might as well check first, just in case.

"I hope so" She couldn't quite tell because she didn't get to meet the owner. But if he wanted for them to buy it perhaps he'd allow it? Only a bit should be enough.

((Goodnight :) I'll reply in the morning at some point, maybe early afternoon. Should we skip to going to meet Mathis then?))

(Night, Nala c:

Sure, perhaps to where they are already walking down the streets and heading to the stand with the plants ^^)

((Sorry. Unexpectedly spent the whole day out of the house))

In the morning, Tome took Joachim through his usual routine with Mia's help, waking him and feeding him, walking him around the room a little so he could practice, and getting their own breakfast made. After that was all over, though, they picked him up and just carried him out of the dragonry, after telling Malia they were going to walk him around so she wouldn't worry.

Mathiswas waiting for them at the stall, sitting on it again even though he wasnt alone. It was the husband's turn to run the stall, after all, and he was just as happy to shut his eyes beneath his hat, pulled down over his face, and let Mathis do the work as he pleased. He'd had to make sure he was there again, for the day, so he wouldn't miss Mia when she returned.

(S'Okay. No biggie)

Walking down the streets, Mia led Tome and Joachim who he held on his arms to where she remembered the stall was. It seemed busy, probably because of the time of the day they had chosen to go out, however, not to the point where it could be 'suffocating' due to a great amount of people being there, it was not packed.

First, the man who seemed to be soundly sleeping behind the stand caught her attention. For a split of second she even wondered if Mathis was not there, until her gaze found his familiar face when their eyes met. Smiling and raising her hand to greet him, she approached the young dark haired guy as she threw a glance at Tome's direction "There it is" She declared while she turned her head back "Hi Mathis. You're helping out again?" Obviously the sleeping man was not doing a thing.

Mathis popped out of the shop in time to see Mia looking around and waved to her past the large basket of fruits he carried, setting them just next to the table for others to look at. "Good morning!" He responded when she greeted him, grinning. "I had to be sure I wouldn't miss you if you came by, and it's not like they'd let me hang around without putting me to work." He laughed a little, then looked over at Tome. "Oh, hello! I take it your presence means the little one gets his treat?"

Tome was a little taken aback by Mathis' cheer and friendly exuberance, and just nodded. "I want to see if he likes them first."

"Would it be okay for him to try it first before buying it?" Mia added. Would it be necessary to wake up the sleeping man to ask? Well it was just a wee bit anyway. She really did hope Joachim liked them, anything to see his happy expression, though it was not something difficult to see, 'cause the little one was so cheerful.
