Blood and Water (♠ Blue Suit ♠)

(S'Okay ^^ Watching a series right now c:)

Mia stared at him for a couple of seconds before nodding and slowly getting out of bed "Would you like some help?" She asked, sliding her legs to the edge of the bed and standing up herself. After that they could go to the market right? Would be good to walk a little, get out from the house and into the town.

((Oh, god I'm about to do the final boss battle O.o I'm so nervous! This is going to include a whole lot of flailing and screaming. . . As possibly swearing, depending on how hard it is xD ))

Tome considered, stretching enough to hear a few quiet pops from his spine and shoulders, and finally shrugged. "If you want to help." He didn't particularly need help, but he did like having her nearby, and cooking was always more fun than work if there was someone next to him to keep him company.

(Good luck Nala! xD Tell me if you beat him :3)

Mia smiled and nodded "Would love to" She declared and headed to the hall and to the stairs. What would they cook? Well she could frankly eat anything. She was not picky on too many things actually.

((I WIN!!!!!!! Wooooooooooo!!!

I get so stressed over these things, even though I use a strategy guide to prevent that O.o I'm going to be high strung until I go to work in a little less than two hours xD ))

Tome walked downstairs with Mia and looked through the cabinets and such to see what they had, though he knew they were almost fully stocked. "Will we go to the market today?" He asked as he looked. He was feeling better now. Well. He was not actually feeling much better, but he was well enough to walk around and be around other people, so long as no one bothered him.

((OH MY GOD!!! ,O~O, At the end, the Princess of Twilight destroys the Mirror of Twilight as she leaves, which is the gate between her world and Link's, and she and Link will never see each other again!!! My emotions!!))

(Woot!! :D Congrats! I know how that goes, when I play Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts, I'm always like that xD Me and my sister scream in front of the tv. My parents and my other sister are like " O.o The both of you are crazy")

Mia hoped on top of the kitchen table and nodded "Yep. Want to get some herbs" Look around as well maybe. Never got the chance to see many things and she loved those people displayed on the stands.

(Do they love each other? Sorry, I've never played Zelda before)

((I have to know what's coming or I get way too stressed lol and it's a wii game so I'm flailing the whole time anyway))

Tome nodded a little as he got out a few supplies for breakfast. "We have herbs here." He said, shrugging slightly. "Have you looked?" He wasnt trying to discourage her, but there were things he had that she could use if she wanted them.

((No, no, she was mostly in the form of a small shadow creature the whole time, since she's from the Twilight world, but it's just that she was helping Link through the entire game and they were friends and fought for each other and he made this shocked/afraid face and such a painful gasp sound when she broke the Mirror and my heart just broke for him ,>_<, my emotions are being manipulated by a video game. Oh my god it was sad))

Mia swung her legs back and forth before answering "I know. But there is this one I used to buy on the market when..." She stopped for a minute before continuing "When you freed me from being a slave" Shaking her head she spoke again "Anyway, I'd like to get some of those"

(Ooo :c So it's like they can't meet ever again?)

((Gtg to work bye! Might reply on lunch))

Tome winced slightly, thinking of how he'd found her and how he'd treated her wounds, and finally just nodded. "Oh. All right. We can look for what you want."

((Yeah D:))

(Ok! Have a nice day! =) )

"Thanks" Mia smiled and nodded. "So what are we cooking for breakfast?" She questioned, changing the subject for the time being.

((I don't know what to do for breakfast so I'm skipping lol))

Tome looked up from where he sat on the stairs, finishing lacing up his boots. It felt good to be dressed in clothes fit for outside wearing after the day or two he'd spent here, in whatever he wanted. "Ready to go?" He called, loud enough for Mia to hear, and stood to pull on his cloak. Going outside would do them both good.

Mia had twirled around a bit as Tome sat on the stairs. By the doorway she was actually admiring the nice dress she was wearing. Simple white, but pretty. She felt clean on those. At least, after taking a bath, she smelled and seemed clean. "Ready to go?" Stopping and letting go of the edges of her dress she looked at Tome. "Yes" She declared with a good natured smile.

((Well. That was kind of the most stressful day of my twenty years of life. I will now gorge myself on whatever foods I want, and then struggle to wind down enough to sleep -_- ))

Tome nodded and draw his cloak around his shoulders, then just followed her out the door. "We should take the horses with us, so we can buy their feed." He said, since they'd never sold or returned the horses they'd bought for the long trip to find Fawn. "They're around somewhere. I can go and find them." They tended to wander when they grazed, but they would come back for water and other foods.

(Was it? Why so? :o )

"They should be over there, right?" Mia pointed at the edge of the forest "Should I accompany you?" Tilting her head, she turned to him, brow raised.

((I got stuck in Back to School the entire eight flippin hours. Theres tons of people that I have to ask every one if they need help, and sometimes three people at once want your help and each expects you to help them first sometimes, literally nothing is in the right place, and every time i manage to just straighten a section up a bit, without even trying to put things where they belong, five minutes later its trashed again. It's so stressful I kind of begin to fantasize about bashing my face in with one of the shovels in the garden section just nearby so I can go home XP I told a manager I can't keep doing it the whole eight hours anymore. It's burning me out, to the point that I felt like I didn't even want to come in to work anymore. I didn't say the last part, but hopefully it won't happen again. He said he'd put it in his 'closing notes' ))

Tome shrugged slightly and gave an acquiescing tip of the head. "If you'd like." He said, and turned to walk that way. "It shouldn't take long, if you want to wait." He didn't care if she wanted to accompany him. He liked having her at his side.

(Oh yeah. I guess that must be pretty tiring :/ Hopefully it won't be like that today as well)

"Well when you find the horses you won't need to come back to get me. So I'll go with you" Mia declared, taking a few steps forward, towards the woods.

((I'm only there for four hours today, so it shouldn't be so bad))

Tome only nodded and took the lead. They found the horses grazing not far apart and took them back to the house to be saddled up. When everything was done, Tome got up onto his horse and looked over at Mia on hers. "You can lead." He said, shrugging slightly. "I won't know where you want to go once we're there."

(Do you have to work everyday?)

"Ok" Mia hopped up on her horse and taking the reins, she turned around before squeezing its sides. It wouldn't take them long to reach town and even if it would have, thanks God they had left the house relatively early. By the time they reached their destination, the streets were rather packed with people, well it figured, since it was morning and a saturday.

((Usually, no, but lately we've had a lot of people leave, so I've been working six days a week, with a couple eight hour days thrown in each week. My check better be huge or something, 'Cause I don't really like it so much lol I'm always scheduled so that I can't really do anything except in the mornings. What tiny social life I had is basically gone xD ))

Tome got down from his horse when they reached town, and moved over to hold a hand out for Mia's reigns. "We can tie them nearby somewhere, so we don't have to carry anything too long." He was fine with carrying heavy things, as used to it, but he didnt know how well she would fare with that. She was a little weak, even for human standards.

(Woah :o I guess it should be huge then, the check that is)

Mia slid down to the ground from one side of her horse and glanced at Tome before nodding "Well, the town square and where most of the things are, are over there" She stated as she tried to make her way through the people. It was always so crowded, the square specially, but that was because the main stands stood there.

((I sure hope so lol if its not, something is horribly wrong xD ))

Tome didn't really relish the idea of being among all those people, but only nodded and tied the horses nearby where the space was allowed for them. He followed Mia afterwards, and took old of her hand when they were closer so they wouldn't be separated. "Lead the way."

(I agree!)

Though it didn't bother her, Mia still thought of the idea of holding hands with him as strange. Even holding hands with someone other than her mother and brother was... well let's just say she was not used to it. She glanced down at their hands before looking up at him and nodding. It was better that way anyway, they wouldn't be separated among those people. Also, it sort of felt nice. Her fingers curled around Tome's hand lightly as they started their way into the town square. She knew exactly were to go, were to buy and more importantly how to bargain. Some minutes later, she had at least already bought the herbs she so much wanted, at a very good price as well, and planned on getting some other things if she got the chance to.

It was only then, when she had tried to reach the very center of the square, that she was practically shoved to the side and her hand slipped away from Tome's. Gasping, she turned on her heels, but being it that she had stumbled a few steps back and had taken a few more to the side in search of the hand she had been separated from, she found no signs of him. "Tome?" Her voice came out low at first and another person bumped into her, getting her even farther from her previous spot. "Tome!?" It was louder this time. Unfortunately, the people's voices drowned her own.

And when she thought she was about to panic, a hand closed itself around her own and dragged her away from that place. Her first thought had been that Tome had found her and she blindly followed and allowed that hand to guide her. It felt like an eternity, but eventually, they got out from the mass of people that was concentrating itself around the stands. A relieved sigh escaped Mia's lips and she finally raised her head to look up at Tome. A shock ran up and down her spine when she realized she had made a mistake, but it was soon replaced by an undeniable fear when she recognized the man who was so tightly gripping her hand.

"M-Ma-Master" She stammered

The raven haired man in front of her raised one corner of his mouth into a crooked smile "My, my. Haven't you grown up into a proper lady, darling?" Without even giving her the chance to reply, the man pulled her into his arms. At this, Mia felt her stomach giving a violent lurch. "You're even prettier" Muttering on her ear, he ran his hand up and down her back. Mia felt like throwing up. "Let me go!" She tried to shout, but her voice got stuck on her throat. Instead, she desperately tried to pull away. Tome! Tome! She yelled on her mind, glancing back at the square with pleading eyes.

Tome growled when someone separated them roughly, but when he turned he realized Mia was shorter than a lot of the people here and he couldn't see her. He was bumped again, and shoved the person away from him, hard enough they knocked two other people and he received glares from them all. He ignored them, spinning 'round at the sound of his own name, and finally catching just the barest glimpse of what might have been her. It was the only chance he had, so he followed.

He lost her again, after that, and could only follow the direction she'd gone, pushing through people too roughly because he just couldn't care. He finally heard her voice again, as he broke free of the crowd, and found her off to the left, being . . . being held by someone? But just the tone of her voice told him she didn't want to be, and he approached them silently.

The man's attention was elsewhere, and when Tome crept without a sound up behind him, he pulled the man's head back by his hair enough to expose his throat, then placed a knife there. "Release her."

((Leaving for work a bit early. Bye! Want be back til late))

The man let out a surprised squeal when Tome approached from behind and his eyes nearly popped out of his head as he desperately tried to look up at that who was threatening him. "You better not do that, boy" He declared, almost breathless. An even painful relief flooded Mia's heart when she recognized Tome's voice. It even made her want to cry. It didn't last long though, because as soon as she raised her head to look at him, some men were coming from behind and silently pressed their own daggers at Tome's ribs.

"No, no! Don't hurt him!" Mia tried to kick the man who was holding her to get out from his grip but before she could even deliver her blow, she was forcefully grabbed from behind and held once again against her will by yet another man. Most likely another soldier that served the master. She struggled and wiggled, trying to get free. It was only when something cold and sharp was held right on her neck that she eventually stopped, scared.

"There's no need to make a scene here, boy. Just lower that, will you?" The Master was willing to sort all of that by talking if needed to. He hadn't expected to find the little girl with a man though, that is if she was with him. Maybe it was one of those people who tried to be the hero.

(Oh, have a nice day!! Hope it's better today :) )

Tome flinched when he felt the knives at his sides, but didn't move afterwards or breathe too deeply. He glared at the man he was still holding by the hair, because he'd been distracted by him and hadn't heard the others coming. Tome looked at Mia, and for a moment he considered his options. He could pull the man back into the knives at Tome's own sides, throw his knife into the man holding Mia's eye, and face them all. But he didn't know how fast the man was, and Mia's throat could be slit open before he'd even moved. Too risky.

Carefully, he let go of the man's hair, moved his blade slowly away, and edged to the side, away from the others' weapons. He stopped just a couple steps away, so he was somewhat between the two groups and no longer had any of them at his back. ". . . Who are you?" He growled, fingers tight around the knife because he'd been instructed to move it, not put it away. "What do you want?"

"Ah... Wise choice" The Master was clearly relieved while he rubbed his throat lightly with his long fingers. "My name is Abraham" As he introduced himself, his men moved to his sides in a protective gesture. "What do I want? That's very simple I want that girl" Raising his hand, he pointed at Mia. "Was she with you?" With a long stride, he approached both the girl and the man (Grey) who was forcefully holding her. "Don't worry, if you bought her I'll pay whatever you paid for her. Should't have been much, the girl is nothing but trash" Abraham reached for her chin to raise it but Mia violently turned it to her side, flinching when the knife scraped the skin. Even so, she wouldn't allow him to touch her.

Abraham clicked his tongue and with just a simple nod on his behalf, Mia's head was pulled back by her hair. The girl let out a choked yell and writhed furiously before she gave up again. A fine bloody line drew itself on her throat when the knife was slightly lowered. "She's my slave and I want her back" To show her he was the one who held the power there he reached for her chin again and lowered it roughly so that she was forced to look him in the eye "You can't deny it, darling. There's the reminder over here..." With his other hand he traced his fingers down her back "And over..." He snickered "Let's just say over there" He didn't have to say it explicitly for Mia or his men to understand, the tone itself was enough. "My bed misses you"

Mia's eyes shot wide open and in the blink of an eye she yanked her hair from Grey's grip before digging her teeth on Abraham's hand. She did it with such a blinding rage that sooner than she had expected it, she was able to taste the man's blood. Abraham squealed loudly and he pulled his hand back quickly. A surprised Grey wrapped his arm around her again while he clumsily pressed his sharp knife against her neck, hence making the cut deeper. Though, even before she could react to that, Abraham's hand was already slamming itself against her cheek, turning her head to the side. "How much?" The man turned his face to look at Tome "How much do you want?" Now there was no way he could let her go. Even now, not even a single person around them had made any attempt to stop what was happening over there.
