Suggestion Blocking Members

Okie dokie. So basically I think it would be nice if there was an option where a user can block another user from sending them messages/viewing their profile and things like that. We can ignore a user, but then we can still see some posts they make, view their profile and all that. I've encountered some people that I never want to encounter again and I really don't want them looking at my profile either. So yeah... I dunno. :'))

There's a lot of stuff on the site that's still being worked on, so I'm not sure if we're going to get a proper block function anytime soon.  I'll re-remind the admins, though.

Ah, well it isn't really the end of the world in my case, but it would be nice. I guess I can always hope, haha! You're welcome and thank you for your super quick ninja speedy reply. :')

Yup! If someone's harassing you, report it, and we'll investigate and take the appropriate actions.

I've had to report it once and they did get a temporary ban. Now it's the same people associated with that before and I just don't want to see more of them. Drama always seems to be happening with them that I don't want to participate in. )

Agreed. I've dealt with one particularly toxic person on this site. While I no longer communicate with this person and have no more cause to report a banning offense, I'd feel better if I could ensure total privacy from this person. I don't want to see any content from this person (I already use the ignore function, but as @Ambela pointed out, the effects are limited) and I don't want any of my content visible to that person either. It would be a huge relief if a block function were available. 


But I understand it may not be a possibility. I'm just putting in an emphatic vote for a block option should development for one seriously occur.

The issue I have with blocking people is similar. I can still see that they have posted something on my profile but I just can't see what it is. I agree that something stopping them seeing your profile altogether would be good. After all, we had a similar function on the old site? You could make your profile private or something. If only people we approved could see our profile, that would be cool. I understand it might not be possible but thanks for reading this anyway ^.^

Which I am ignoring but I would prefer to never see anything from then again without having to delete my account and start over.

It would still be my biggest desire to have a proper blocking system. Especially with all of the troll accounts being made lately.

The thing is, we want this for you guys as well. The problem is that we cannot do anything but either hope for a developer to make a nice addon that adds in this feature we can buy/get or the software company implements such as thing within the software itself in an update.

If you want someone to cease communication with you, tell them so and ignore them. Should they not respect your request, report it to the staff so we can handle the situation.

We suggest changing your profile privacy settings to only allow people you follow to see/post on your profile.

There REALLY needs to be a REAL block feature so that stuff like this doesn't happen. I understand that I could report them but that's just more work for the mods and, honestly, I don't think anything actually happened after I reported them.

As stated, we currently have no way to implement this, believe me we really wish we could. :\ Hence why we suggest changing the privacy settings to prevent users from posting on your profile. And the staff are here to moderate, so don't hesitate to report. Just because you don't see any actions taken doesn't mean they haven't been, we just keep such things private, between the user and the staff if something was done.
