A broken doll picking up the pieces of her life
It had happened with a flash. Power every went out. Cities thought it was minor, but soon learned that nothing was working. Batteries shorted out, cars out, power lines blew up, everything gone. Chaos erupted.
Loud gunshots resounded down the streets as a young boy ducked into dark alleys. Shouts demanding him to stop echoed through the darkened streets. The dirty blonde smirked as armed men dressed in dark red ran right past him. A second later he dashed down the alley, and made his way out the city. Following the main highway, the sky eventually started to lighten. It had only been 3 days since the blackout, 3 days since he betrayed his father. Tyler shook the thought off as he took a detour off the highway and onto a smaller road. By the time he saw a road sign announcing a small town about 10 miles more, it had to be about noon. "Better than nothing." He muttered to himself, picking up the pace slightly.
