  An ominous shadow surrounded the rather busy town. Everyone was rushing around to fix everything up before night fell for that is when the beasts came out from shadow lurking.
  
  Everyone had gone inside while a few slower humans just got into their homes safely behind barricaded doors and locked windows as instructed. Anyone who was outside was eaten by the beasts that only roamed the streets when cloaked in twilight. All lights were to remain off and nobody was to open their doors for anything or anyone. That was the normal procedure. This is what we have come to know as the Blackout.
  
  A little girl roamed the streets one particular night. She hadn't made it home in time before the Blackout began and her family wouldn't let her back in her own home. Everyone heard the panicked screams and cries of the girl running to each doorstep to try and find someone who would let her in, anyone. Parents covered their children's ears as to not increase the terror in their little minds. Others had tried to ignore her to the best of their abilities. She'd stay at different doorsteps for hours on end screaming for the family who lived there to let her in. The family would just wait in silence till she moved on to another house.
  
  Finally, one man had enough of the frightened screams while she just so happened to be begging at his door. He opened it to let her in quickly and hurriedly before the beasts came, but a giant beast had taken the chance and rushed in the house, large mouth gaping and swallowing the girl and the family whole. Everyone sat in shock and horror as they heard the beast devour the family and destroy the house. Some saw what had occurred and they never were quite the same in their mental state afterwards.
  
  That man made the one mistake that no one should ever make again...

  There’s a little island in the middle of the sea with a single small town called Haven. Everything else is forest. People have two options for their characters: a monster (pure or mixed) or a human. It follows life in the town as the humans begin to hunt monsters down to kill them. Mixes started to lead secret double lives as a human and monster while in fear of being found out and killed. Many years of Blackouts had come and gone, many large monsters visited the town at night when it was shut down. The biggest threat is just starting to make it’s presence known, and it’s the town’s worst monster yet.​

Yuki is quiet and reserved. She has a lisp that she's actively working to get rid of. She gets embarrassed easily by the smallest of things. Also, in her pastime, she loves to clean or cook.

Background:
Yuki is a native to Haven and lived before humans decided to start striking down monsters and mixes. Her life before the law was in place was nice and sweet. She respected everyone and everyone respected her. As soon as the law went in place it was like everything changed. People started turning on their friends, family even. It was lucky enough that no one knew of her monster origins yet. Currently she runs a home to hide monsters that are small enough to stay. Almost like pets.

Amelia is a very curious individual who's extremely sweet and innocent. She's very trusting, and she can be easily manipulated, since she sees the best in everyone. She's very naive and honest, and cannot lie to save her life. She's a dependable young lady who's very shy and timid, but will throw her life in the line to save those she trusts and love. Heck, she'll even try to save a villain or two from death if it's possible. She always tries her best to be positive, even in the worst of times. She's a kind girl who isn't very smart academically. She's very creative, and tends to draw and paint her worries away. Whenever she's in pain or depressed, she always tries her best to hide it with a kind smile. She can never get angry, and if she does, its for a short period of time. She hates being a monster, because she doesn't want to kill innocent and random people.

Amelia was born as a mix of a human and a monster cat. Her mother was human, and her father was a monster. She had to live a double life ever since birth. She was quite popular when she was younger, and everyone wanted to be her friend. People were easily attracted to her sweet and innocent and naive demeanor. They would also bully and manipulate her because she was such an easy target. She had really close friends that would protect her. However, whenever they would find out she's a mix, they would abandon her. Completely abandon her. Break all ties with her. It was disgusting to be friends with a mixed monster feline. However, she never really understood what was wrong with her, and why everyone would run away.

When she was thirteen years of age, her father was caught, and brutally murdered by a couple of hunters. Amelia still didn't understand. "Why?" she asked herself. "Why would they do this? Is it because we're a little different?" She was shook from her father's death. When many different people had found that her mother was a human that had married that monster, Amelia and her mother fled to Haven, where she believed she was safe. However, that was sadly not the case. She had newly arrived to Haven (15 years of age) when the laws had just taken place. Furious, her mother couldn't afford to leave, since the tickets to go to Haven was really expensive. Her mother now works 24/7 to earn money to buy tickets to help Amelia and her leave that place. Amelia helps her mother by working as well. She goes to highschool like a normal teenager, keeping a double life.

He has a tattoo on his arm. He has a six pack as well. His expression is always cold and rude and in a scowl. His expression would always chase away anyone who gets close to him.

Fay is an interesting sadistic individual who just doesn't care about anyone else other than himself. He has a mischievous/troublemaker attitude with violent behavior. He's very sarcastic and snide, and selfish. He's a very cold and rude person who won't hesitate to lie and cheat or speak his mind. He's a very cunning and clever boy who's extremely sly and tries his best to get what he wants. He's a determined teenager who will never back down from a fight, and enjoys manipulating people. He's extremely cocky and arrogant, and a lot of people tend to hate him for all of these negative personality traits. He likes to be alone, and hates people talking to him or pestering him. (He's a smoker too)

Fay was born in a native household in Haven that took care of him, and loved him. He loved him back. He was a very bright individual who would excel in academics and he was known as the "good kid". He was the youngest of four children. He loved spending time with his family. He strongly believed that everyone was different, and humans should accept monsters. One day, when he was only nine, he witnessed his parents get murdered by a bunch of monsters (and one mixed that were his parent's friend). This sparked an idea in Fay's head: those creatures are all the same... how could I be so foolish? This caused Fay to hate monsters, and he lived with his elder brothers, who shared hatred, but not as much as Fay. Fay felt personally attacked and betrayed.

That caused him to not trust anyone besides his brothers.

Everyone noticed a change in his personality. He was quiet, and had violent thoughts and behaviors. He started lacking, resulting in horrible grades. He caused a lot of fights... big or small, and got suspended multiple times. Hell, he even got expelled a few times as well. He started to become cold and rude towards everyone, believing everyone was non-trustworthy. When he got older, those personality traits grew, and he earned the two titles: "DELINQUENT" and "BAD BOY". He hated everyone, and everyone hated him. Most people that try to be his friends leave him, because of his rotten personality.

He and his brothers are all for those new laws, and they oh so desperately want to join in on the monster-killing.

When pushed to engage in activities with others he tends to be passive and doesn't make much of an impact on others. The one thing he's willing to engage on is books. He's happy to recommend suggestions and believes there's a book for anyone's tastes.

As a monster Jonathan is cold, calculating, and pragmatic. He's out for himself and if it means he has to kill to keep his secret so be it. He doesn't go out of his way to harm others, but he won't hesitate to do so. During Blackouts he didn't hunt Humans unless they made it easy for him to do so, preferring to stalk and feed on animals in privacy. He will however attempt to take out Hunters as soon as possible. He's an expert at hiding evidence, so he's been able to hide these as 'accidents.'

Background: Jonathan was born in Haven to his parents, who taught him how to blend in and not attract attention. They left the town shortly after he turned 19, leaving him to his own devices. Since then he got a job at the local bookstore and has no real plans beyond having an otherwise quiet life.

Kiana is a very caring individual. She acts all tough and rough, but she is a fluffball in her insides. She tries to come off as a loner, as if she needed nobody. But in fact, she does. She is a very social person and being alone hurts her. Being rejected by people however hurts like nothing else. Oftenly, at night, she cries herself to sleep, if during the day she witnessed racism against her again. All she wants is to be accepted and to have friends, to spend her life with people who she cared for and that cared for her.

That however changes when she turns to a monster. This only happens when she is consumed by rage, when all rationality and thought within her has left and is left powerless against the overwhelming wrath. Then, she becomes a manical killer, feeding of everything within her range. She is quite the powerhouse as a monster and it is best to stay away from her, should she transform. For both, monsters and humans.

Kiana was born as a half monster. But she never really wanted to be a monster. She never knew her parents and grew up on the streets, hiding, knowing people would not understand. But when the first blackout happened, that she witnessed, she did not. Instead, she actually started saving lives, killing monsters. And so, it got known that there was a half monster, that did not seem all that evil. THe teenaged Kiana was somewhat accepted, taken from the street and granted a little shack, in which she could live. She started hunting monsters to gain money, eventually earning her quite the respect in the city. Though officially she is the only half monster in the city, she does know of a few others. She does not rat them out, because she knows, people dont understand. Even her, who has done so many great things for the village, is still excluded and discriminated by many people.

When she was thirteen years of age, her father was caught, and brutally murdered by a couple of hunters. Amelia still didn't understand. "Why?" she asked herself. "Why would they do this? Is it because we're a little different?" She was shook from her father's death. When many different people had found that her mother was a human that had married that monster, Amelia and her mother fled to Haven, where she believed she was safe. However, that was sadly not the case. She had newly arrived to Haven (15 years of age) when the laws had just taken place. Furious, her mother couldn't afford to leave, since the tickets to go to Haven was really expensive. Her mother now works 24/7 to earn money to buy tickets to help Amelia and her leave that place. Amelia helps her mother by working as well. She goes to highschool like a normal teenager, keeping a double life.

Fay has a mesomorphic build and stands at 5'6. He has sly, mischievous hazelnut eyes that seem to be knives itself. He has crisp white hair that's dyed (used to be black) and soft, glowing tan skin. He has a tattoo on his arm. He has a six pack as well. His expression is always cold and rude and in a scowl. His expression would always chase away anyone who gets close to him.

Fay is an interesting sadistic individual who just doesn't care about anyone else other than himself. He has a mischievous/troublemaker attitude with violent behavior. He's very sarcastic and snide, and selfish. He's a very cold and rude person who won't hesitate to lie and cheat or speak his mind. He's a very cunning and clever boy who's extremely sly and tries his best to get what he wants. He's a determined teenager who will never back down from a fight, and enjoys manipulating people. He's extremely cocky and arrogant, and a lot of people tend to hate him for all of these negative personality traits. He likes to be alone, and hates people talking to him or pestering him. (He's a smoker too)

Fay was born in a native household in Haven that took care of him, and loved him. He loved him back. He was a very bright individual who would excel in academics and he was known as the "good kid". He was the youngest of four children. He loved spending time with his family. He strongly believed that everyone was different, and humans should accept monsters. One day, when he was only nine, he witnessed his parents get murdered by a bunch of monsters (and one mixed that were his parent's friend). This sparked an idea in Fay's head: those creatures are all the same... how could I be so foolish? This caused Fay to hate monsters, and he lived with his elder brothers, who shared hatred, but not as much as Fay. Fay felt personally attacked and betrayed.

That caused him to not trust anyone besides his brothers.

Everyone noticed a change in his personality. He was quiet, and had violent thoughts and behaviors. He started lacking, resulting in horrible grades. He caused a lot of fights... big or small, and got suspended multiple times. Hell, he even got expelled a few times as well. He started to become cold and rude towards everyone, believing everyone was non-trustworthy. When he got older, those personality traits grew, and he earned the two titles: "DELINQUENT" and "BAD BOY". He hated everyone, and everyone hated him. Most people that try to be his friends leave him, because of his rotten personality.

He and his brothers are all for those new laws, and they oh so desperately want to join in on the monster-killing.
