A Sad Remnant of a Forgotten Time
It's June 30, 1914, society is different from ours. What would the world be like if one simple event was changed altering the timeline, and perpetuating chaos theory? What would happen if no-one clicked on the light? What would happen if Thomas Edison was never born?

The world still uses rudimentary light production techniques like gas lanterns, and crude lightbulbs
1884
Nikola Tesla comes to New York City determined to change the world. He sets up a laboratory and begins experimenting with electricity.
1886
Nikola Tesla invents the A/C motor, lighting up the world in a spectacular dance of light. Within days, Tesla is on the cover of every magazine in the world, an international celebrity. All over the world Tesla is adored, and even invited to dinner with kings and presidents around the world.
1888
George Westinghouse approaches Tesla to improve on the A/C motor and research other inventions, but Tesla decline, instead opting to begin his own company named Tesla Electrics
1889
Tesla Electrics releases it's first product, the Tesla Coil, to be used for scientific experimentation. Almost instantly countries around the world begin developing Tesla based weapons. Nikola Tesla takes a tour of Europe, meeting with premier scientific minds in Oxford, and visiting Serbia, his homeland.
1890
Tesla returns to the U.S. and invents the X-Ray and Neon lights. Then, Tesla is able to invent the beginning of wireless power, doing do sparks an international revolution elevating Tesla to a household name. Countries begin approaching Tesla to develop weapons.
1891
Tesla begins work on a legendary dam able to power the majority of the Eastern seaboard. The first Tesla cannons are being produced, but Tesla has been convinced they're for specifically the police force. Tesla's mother than dies, and on her deathbed, convinces Tesla to never produce weapons to harm thy neighbor.
1893
Tesla lights up the world fair with A/C lights, and unveils his new creation, the Laserkraftwerk, developed from German funding, and created for heavy construction. The Laserkraftwerk increases it's user's strength, taking away from their mobility, and adds a laser able to cut through two inch steel.
1885
Tesla's laboratory is robbed, leaving his experimental drawings missing, and his lab tone apart. The Tesla Dam is activated for the first time, and engineers from around the world are astounded by it.
1887
Tesla unveils plans for a satellite to circle the Earth, able to broadcast data on an international scale. While it's being constructed, Tesla implements radio towers so the world can hear music wherever they are. Various countries unveil and arsenal of Tesla based weaponry such as rifles, pistols, death rays, fission walkers, and electric cannons.
1899
Tesla begins construction on a large geothermal generator, the first of it's kind, in Colorado. Tensions in Europe rise as Serbian rebels are angered at how governments are misusing Tesla's abilities.
1900-1910
Invention after invention is unveiled such as the Wardenclyffe tower, designed to produce electricity for the world within a five block radius. Now, wireless electricity is beginning to take off as more towers are built across the globe. The rebels are becoming more ferocious as Archduke Franz Ferdinand supports Tesla warfare. Nikola Tesla heavily protests at a symposium in Chicago.
1913
Tension is at an all-time high. Nikola Tesla attempts to calm the world over international radio and at a grand meeting of world leaders. At the meeting there is a failed assassination attempt on Tesla's life along with his supporters.
1914
Archduke Franz Ferdinand is assassinated by Serbian rebels. The world declares war on each other within hours on the divide of supporting or refusing Tesla weaponry.

If Nikola Tesla doesn't arrive in Belgrade to discuss negotiations, this war will drone in for years. The stench of smog is beginning to cover the world, can you ignite the light and drive away the black skies?
