The exterior of Black Mill Academy itself is, of course, very extravagantly built. Its architecture is strapping and quite colonial. Before it was a girlβs finishing school, it was known as Blackford Manor. The mansion built by the man who actually founded the city ... years and years ago. Blackford and his home is misted in urban legend and devilish tales. Many a rumour surrounding the building involves that of cannibalism, satanic ritual and human sacrifice.
Though they are simply stories.
The school is split into two parts. The academy and the extension. The academy is where the dormitories are, as well as a lot of the faculty related offices. This part of the building also hosts the cafeteria and several large lecture halls. The extension was built twenty five years ago -
And this is the part of the building where a majority of the classrooms are situated. As well as locker rooms, leading out onto the back pitch. Sitting at the end of the extension is a sort of other extension - which houses the theatre and the swim hall.
It is very easy to get lost inside Black Mill. Itβs a labyrinth of sorts. With winding hallways that sometimes lead to somewhere as trivial as a janitorβs closet.

Large.
Very large.
The building is surrounded by dark green forest. Though there are clearings in the immediate proximity of the school. There is a large football pitch with a perfect amount of bleachers, along with a diamond for baseball and badminton. Beyond the woods and behind the school and pitch - there is a small hangout hill, looking over more forest.
More darkness.
There are also two large car parks slightly down the road from the school, meaning a short walk for anyone who drives.
Our uniform is a strict MUST. Students must always be dressed in it while attending the school, with obvious exceptions like sports games and our debutante balls. The uniform is made of our school colours. Black and grey. With a small gold stitched peacock on the breast of our blazer.
We have a variety of classes here at Black Mill. All of the essentials, of course. English, Mathematics, History, Geography, Science and so on so forth. We have many extra curricular classes as well as a plethora of language classes - including Mandarin, Latin and Arabic.
Sports and societies. School is nothing without these. Our students pride themselves in their sport and in their extra curricular activities. Our football team, The Black Mill (Pea)Cocks are in the top twenty nationwide. Our art society and our drama society have produced stars such as beloved alumni The Afleck Brothers and Geena Davis. We have a mathletes and debate and a young diplomats society -
Along with so much more!
We also have a highly motivated student council, overseeing many societies and the school events.
