Fandom Beyond the Falls

Ticci Toby Rogers

Twitchy Little Pyromaniac
It was a bright, sunny day in Gravity Falls, and a dreary, rainy day in it's reverse counterpart, when it happened. The earthquake shook the town at it's very foundation, and the sky swirled with colour, before it opened into the depths of the multiverse. For the residents of Bill's dimension who had seen Weirdmagetton, it struck panic in their hearts that he'd gone and done it again. For the residents of Will's dimension, it was more curiosity then fear that drove people out of their homes and into the rain. The star speckled blackness that was the in-between space of the multiverse, consumed the two towns, before reforming the towns completely, down to their very molecules. Suddenly, in both dimensions, the town had grown twice as large as before. There were now two valleys, two waterfalls, and two forests. The towns were merged completely, painfully obvious in their division thanks to the difference in weather patters. To the northwest, the sun shone brightly, as the people panicked, fearing another attempted apocalypse. To the southeast, however, people stood in the pouring rain, watching the fusion with curiosity rather then fear. Each dimension opened into the other, through the new and improved Gravity Falls.

Why did this happen? The answer is simple: boredom. This is what happens when a bored, lonely demon decides to visit his brother. This... This mess... Everyone just needs to blame the Ciphers, because it's their fault. Even if it's not completely the fault of the two demonic residents of the new Gravity Falls, it's still a Cipher problem, one way or another. Even if Bill (for he was the one to merge the worlds) were to blame someone else for his actions, it would only be his raising or breeding one, and either way it's a Cipher issue...

Seriously, why does the Axolotl still let this family breed!? They obviously need to stop if this is the result!

Bill smiled as he picked up a nickel for no other reason then it had caught his eye. He named it Philip, by the way... Anyways, after pocketing the nickel, Bill went back to watching his work unfold, a too wide grin on his face, as the rain began to pour across the new extended town, despite the sunshine on his own half. Somewhere in that mess was his brother, and as fun as it had been to merge the two worlds, it would be more fun to admire it with Will.

Bill's body was surrounded with a golden light as he lifted himself off the ground, and into the air. He took a moment to laugh obnoxiously at the panicking citizens of his own dimension, and to watch the second one with a careful eye... Hehehe... EYE! Because he only has one!

Bill rolled said eye at his narrater, who reluctantly recorded said eye roll, despite really not wanting to.

Anyways, Bill watched the people in the raining half of the town, searching for anything that even remotely resembled his brother, with no luck. Bill shrugged, and said, "Not a problem... I've got nothing but time..."

“Dammit, Ford, what did you get yourself into,” Stan grumbled in his bed as he relived a familiar nightmare. One he'd had almost daily for years and, despite having gotten back with his brother, still persisted though more sporadically. At the peak of the nightmarish climax his eyes tried to open sharply only to peel apart partially like a zip-locked bag.

Stan rubbed his eyes and found it caked with the usual crusty surprise. "Mehhhh..." he let out a low groan as he palmed his face and dragged it down his sweaty face. Turning his head he took in his new room, still not used to moving back in here after Ford got back. Propping himself up and scratching at his belly he took in the surroundings for a moment before ...

Shifting

The hairs on his back strained and he knew what this rumbling meant. The sensation of bleak and surreal mixing into a drink of unpleasantness. Stan swore quietly at the sweaty palms that gripped the edge of the bed, wearing his trademark slippers before rushing out of the Mystery shack. On his way out he grabbed his hat off the rack and swore a little more loudly as he noted the shifting in the sky itself as he braced himself against the frame of the door. As he pushed the door open the wind caught it and banged it open the rest of the way, sweeping an icy blast into Stan’s face. He had to grit his teeth and force himself up out of the relative warmth of the shack and onto the porch.

He glanced down at the road ahead and the stuff that wasn't pinned down getting tossed around the outside of the store by the angry wind. A loose fold-able chair flew over at him and he barely managed to duck to avoid it. A sickening breaking sound made the miserly portion of him have a raging conniption.

The shack was (of course, dammit) out of town, up a series of winding, narrow, treacherous roads and the isolation meant he had no idea what was happening in the heart of town. The place was nestled up in the shadow of the cliffs, surrounded by dark pine woods on all sides obstructing a good view at the ground level.

"Damnit Ford." he just hoped this wasn't what he thought it was.

What did you do this time Bill

Will rolled over in his bed, pulling the covers closer around him. He kind of thought it was a miracle that the Gleefuls had decided to give him an actual bed, but he he wasn't gonna look a gift horse in the mouth. It was even a relatively comfortable bed, so he was just fine with staying in it until he was actually needed. After he had accidentally ruined the stove because of pancakes, he wasn't allowed to cook, anyway. He probably needed to eat... But, dear Axolotl, he had been up late last night, and he wanted to sleep a bit longer. His limbs felt like they were made of lead, and his eye felt like it had been glued shut. Like always, his entire body ached. Maybe just letting his body regenerate would be a good idea.

All of this would be worth it when the deal was up. He couldn't take either of the twin's life, but he would make them wish he had.

Suddenly, the world started shaking, and jostled the dream demon off of the edge of the bed due to his proximity to the edge of it. He landed hard on his back, reigniting the pain he felt in his bruising. Son of a bitch, if he could have gotten a concussion, he was sure he would've had one after a fall like that. His body automatically healed from damage like that, though, so he didn't need to worry about anything like that. He staggered to his feet just in time to see the sky rip apart to reveal a starry sky behind the rainclouds. It was beautiful, familiar, and completely out of space. Had a demon decided to do this? There were so few demons that could've done something like this, though. The only ones he could think of were himself and....

    ... His brother...

That would've required Bill had a physical form, though. It had been about six years since he'd actually seen his brother, but Bill had been confined to the Mindscape back then. Six years might've been a long time for a human, but it was nothing more than a blink of their eye (despite how every moment around the Gleefuls felt like an eternity). They were powerful, but not powerful enough to just give themselves a phy-

Will took one look at his own very physical body and rethought that. It had been hard to rip a hole in the fabric of space and time so that he could exist in the physical plane, but he had certainly done it. It was nigh impossible for most demons, even Ciphers, to do something like that, but he and Bill were... exceptionally powerful.

Then, the sky went back to normal, but something was definitely different. In the distance, Will could see buildings that definitely hadn't been in Depravity Falls fifteen seconds ago. He could have been wrong, but he could've sworn that the rain just suddenly stopped right before those buildings started. He looked over his shoulder to see whether or not either set of Gleeful twins had come running up the stairs yet. Nope, but he would've put good money on all four of them breaking down his door at any moment.

"... I'm so gonna regret this later," He mumbled to himself before reaching up to unlatch the latched that locked his window so that it couldn't be opened from the outside and open his window. If Bill had decided to do this, then that probably meant that he was in the new addition to Depravity Falls, and the blue Dream Demon missed his overzealous brother like Hell. Sure, he could've summoned him at any time, but that would've risked the Gleefuls finding out about Bill. Will was less worried about them knowing about Bill than he was Bill doing something stupid. Bill had a tendency to leap before he looked.

Speaking of leaping before he looked, Will put his foot on the ledge of his window-

"I'll have you know that I know what's below my window," Will grumbled at the person narrating this. Wow, smartass.

Anyway, Will put one of his feet up on the windowsill and ducked his head underneath the top window. His room was on the second story of the house. Would it have been worse to fall to the ground, or just levitate outside the window? He'd hate to get dirty, but one of the Gleefuls could come into his room at any moment, and he wasn't supposed to levitate where other people could've seen him, plus they would probably want to know what was going on...

Whatever, there was also the chance that they were standing outside wondering what was going on. He didn't want to wait there any longer, so he grabbed the window to support himself as he leaned forward. Then, he let go and plummeted to the ground. The bush planted below his window broke his fall some as he landed on it, but the fact that his momentum caused him to bounce off it and painfully on his side. He could both feel and hear his arm and ribs snap, but his accelerated healing kicked in and mended the bones back together before he could fully process what he felt. Without the pain, his mind immediately focused on the next unpleasant thing: He was covered in mud. Gross.

The demon sat up, then fully stood up and, with a flick of his hand, removed the mud from himself. Most of the time, he would've put the clothes in the washing machine, but in this situation he didn't have a washing machine handy, and he didn't want to go looking for his twin covered in his mud. He didn't want to be covered in mud. That took priority.

He scanned around for Bill, but soon realized that his twin wasn't within his visual range. Damn. He knew he was gonna regret leaving but he needed to find his brother, but he still decided to leave the yard in search of him.

Mason had been watching the rain from his regular seat in the living room like he did every morning. He was playing with his deck of cards, and trying to ignore the smell of his family's breakfast wafting through the house. He never ate breakfast with his family. He only ate breakfast once a week, on Sundays, and even that was under the condition that their magic show had a higher weekly profit then the week before. He chose to spend the early morning watching the town through the living room window, and playing with his cards.

He sighed, thinking this would be another boring day when the ground began to quake, and the sky burst with colour, as it was consumed in the starry expanse. Mason rose from his seat to find the world unchanged, aside from the fact that he was sure they only had one water tower, and the rain, was defiantly stopping quite abruptly. Something fishy was going on, and he was willing to bet it had something to do with a blue one eyed demon.

Mason took a few breaths to calm himself, before he charged up the stairs to Will's room, only to find it empty. He stomped over to the window looking out of it to see the blue devil leaving. He took a moment to defiantly NOT admire the way the demon's cloths clung to him before he angrily yelled, "CIPHER! WHAT THE HELL'S GOING ON AROUND HERE!?"

Bill was almost to town when he suddenly heard the chorus of an angsty rock song playing over the cell phone he'd been given (Bill's Ringtone). He still didn't even like the damn thing, and had made little effort to learn about all the things it could do. It had been Mabel's old phone, and he hadn't even bothered to change the ringtone (mostly because he liked it).

"Would you shut up!" Bill snapped, while glaring at his narrater, annoyed that his personal information was being broadcasted to the world.

Finally Bill floated down to the ground, and pulled out the bumblebee style phone that Mabel had given him, and checked the caller ID. After seeing a lovely picture of Mabel sleeping upside down, and the name "SHOOTING STAR" across his screen, Bill answered the phone.

"Hiya Shooting Star! How's it hanging!?" He said, practically screaming into the phone. "Did you like my light show!?"

Stan got into his recently repaired 1965 El Diablo convertible, also called the Stanley Mobile, before taking a long look at the shop. It didn't seem like there was much activity in the house so he could probably have the kids sit this one out if he just didn't make too much no-

"Grandma's spoiled bean soup!" he swore as he looked into the rear view mirror to see an upraised hand pointing out at him before realizing it to be one of those silly gnome statues the kids kept around. "Hehehe got me good there little buddy." he chortled gruffly before pulling the miniture statue and strapping him in the passenger seat up front.

"Buckle up pointy-hat, we've got a mystery to solve. Stanley mobile! Awaaa-ay!" he turned the key and heard the engine roar gloriously for a second before sput-sputtering to a dead and squelchy stop. Stan's excited grin had yet to leave his face.

*Scene transition*

"Huff huff ... there!" Stan pushed the car all the way to the top of the hill and then got in quickly as the car started tugging forward. "Awaa-ay! Hahaha! What did I tell ya? 100% American-make this baby." he said sticking out hand from the window and slapping at the metal of the door outside in appreciation.

In no time at all he was halfway into town and seeing a lot of messed up sites. Some of the buildings had fused half way with new ones and others were replaced entirely. He could see both familiar faces and their...

"What is this? Bring your look-a-alike to town day?!" he said rounding a corner and keeping an eye out for what might have caused all this.

Mabeline Gleeful
"Oooh, what do we have here?"
Quiet humming came from the rainy woods of Depravity Falls, the source being a young lady sitting upon a large rock with a glowing umbrella hovering above her and casually swinging her legs to and fro as she filed her nails to perfection. Pausing every so often to check on her progress, Mabeline Gleeful looked over her handiwork with a critical gaze before smiling and turning around. The large rock is actually perched over a glade, within which scampered dozens off gnomes with tiny sparkling things in their hands.

The tiny men were clutching small fairies, who they shook violently so as to shake their glittery dust free. The fairy dust was collected into pouches then placed into boxes which were stacked up at the edge of a clearing. The poor fairies were released after their dust had been harvested, wouldn't be hard to catch them again when they were needed.

"Now if what the book said was true, then we should be able to make all sorts of fun things with this stuff!" Mabeline commented with a giddy little smile, pausing in her nail care to clasp her hands together "Oh, think of the possibilities!"

"Yes, your majesty." one of the nearest gnomes grumbled as he lifted one of the recently filled boxes over his head and struggled to carry its weight to the others.

"Now if we just-" before the Gleeful Girl could continue, the shakening occurred.

Mabeline had the stability necessary to easily grab a nearby tree and keep herself steady, maintaining her hold on the floating umbrella above, her army was not so lucky. Several of the gnomes shifted dangerously while others fell over all together, some accidentally released their captives while one fell against the boxes and was buried under several.

Mabeline took it in good humor despite the minor set back this would provide for her operations, having to restrain a small laugh at the sight of her flailing underlings. The sky began shifting, a familiar feeling washing over the magic-user as she quirked a single eyebrow-

-and then it halted. The gnomes finally grounded themselves and their master released the tree as she began looking herself over.

Okay, now for physiological roll call. Arms and legs are where they're supposed to be with all the fingers and toes that go with them, her beautiful face was still there with all the right orifices where they were supposed to be. Several seconds of this passed before she felt assured that whatever trans-dimensional tomfoolery just occurred hadn't affected her in any immediately concerning physical manner.

Once that was finished she immediately turned and began walking off, her followers watching as she passed "I'm sure you boys can finish this up on your own, be good dears and take a look around when you're finished with this."

Hearing a few grunts and groans of acceptance, she whipped out her phone as she took a familiar path through the woods. After a quick check in with several of her more humanoid accomplices in town, the Gleeful girl had a bit of a better idea of what had just occurred.

Soon she stepped out of the woods onto a long road which led through the woods to the town, and lifted an eyebrow once she spotted the buildings in the distance.

"Hm, wonder what Cipher's done now?"
she cooed with a small hum of thought as she viewed what could only be the result of a powerful demon's handiwork. It would seem like the town had been mashed with a much less rainy version of itself, the woods and area around it being duplicated and slapped together as well. Keeping her often adorable smile in place, she began walking towards the newly mixed town.

She'd hope Will had trouble explaining this, because it just meant she could have more fun prying the information out of him later. For now, she wondered what this duplicate town had to offer, and suspected she already knew the answer to that. It wasn't exactly rocket science what was happening here, and if the town had been merged with a duplicate of itself then odds were likely there were duplicates of the townsfolk there as well, maybe duplicates of even her underlings or...

Mabeline gave as small, cheerful giggle as she let her mind wander over the possibilities. Her ever-present smile hadn't been this wide in weeks. Sure there'd be hell to pay for whoever decided they could just go merging her town with random copies of itself without her permission, sure she'd probably agree to it just for the comedic value but the principle of asking for permission was not to be taken lightly.

So, resigning to simply enjoy whatever this was for now, the Gleeful girl continued on her way to the now-fused version of the Falls she'd been left with.

A loud crash woke Dipper, who had been doing his best to sleep in as long as humanly possible. Bill hadn't seemed to be around his morning, after all, so he was taking advantage of the demon not waking him up at some ungodly hour. Unfortunately, the noise and ensuing rumbling and shaking that forced him awake didn't seem to want him sleeping all morning, either. What was this, an earthquake or something? Still half asleep, Dipper groaned, rolled over, and immediately fell out of bed. Whoops. The impact worked to wake him up the rest of the way, though, and the full brunt of what was happening finally hit him. Oh crap. Bolting upright, Dipper half ran, half stumbled to the large window of the attic room he still inhabited. What he saw as he peered through the glass made his blood run cold.

The sky swirled with colors that definitely should not have been in it, mesmerizing yet terrifying. Then, stars speckled a void-black sky. That was definitely not normal. Dipper's breathing quickened as he considered what might have caused this, heart fluttering in his chest. This was so much like... but it wasn't. The sky, oddly colored as it was, wasn't the blood red that had characterized Wierdmageddon six years ago, and the black that appeared in the sky looked nothing like the rift that had once threatened to end the world as he knew it. Even still, it struck fear in Dipper's heart as he clung to the wall, steadying himself against the shaking ground. God damn it, Bill. There was no way this wasn't the triangle's fault.

Once the world had stopped shifting, Dipper clumsily pulled on some clothing and rushed down the stairs, curious to see what had happened and worried about the rest of the family. God he hoped that Bill hadn't done anything to them. This was what he got for trusting that damn demon, wasn't it? He couldn't believe how stupid he was, getting lulled into a false sense of safety. He would probably be beating himself up over that for a while, wouldn't he? Groaning inwardly, he rushed through the living room, to the door, and thank goodness, there was Mabel. Was she on the phone? Considering the situation, she was probably calling either her friends to make sure they were okay or Bill to ask him what the hell he was doing.

"Hey Mabel," Dipper said, moving to stand next to her. His voice was definitely pitched a little higher than usual, and yep, his breathing was still quickened and panicked. Ugh. Still, he continued speaking, "Is everyone okay? What's happening?"
