Between Two Hateful Sides (Telios x Ene Kagerou)

"One last question. Out of simple curiosity, what do you think of Star?" The demon said, holding in a laugh.

"Um well... We can say that I'm grateful to her for what she have done to me." Takios smiled softly although he started to blush a bit.
 
"Well, then, I believe these questions are enough for now, though do you have any other questions or needs before I leave?" The demon said, standing up from his chair.

"Well then, I'm off," The demon said, "Oh, and by the way, if you need me, you can either place a hand on Stars head, or yell out my name, which is Kanin." With that, he disappeared, leaving Takios with nothingness, but only disappearing into his subconscious, due to the fact that Star had woken up, unable to handle the feeling of being alone in the dark, even though when she woke up it wasn't any better.

Star stood awake for the entire night, hugging her knees and swaying back and forth as an attempt to calm herself down a bit. "There's nothing to be afraid of," She murmured to herself, over and over.

When the sun first peeked out, Star was already sitting downstairs, for she had thought that maybe it wouldn't feel like she was alone in the dark if she was somewhere where everyone had slept. Her eyes were a bit pink where they were normally white, yet she still managed to keep herself slightly awake, as she sat on the couch where Leah had been sleeping until she had gone to her room.

Takios got up and stretched, yawning before opening the door and headed down where he saw Star is already up on the couch.


"Star? Is she ok?" Takios asked, concerned for Star.
 
Star slowly turned her head and looked at him, her face red with the frustration she had been holding in for all night. "Star couldn't sleep. But if she tells Takios why, he'll laugh," She whined.

"It's not the dark. It's just being alone in the dark. Star is scared of loneliness and darkness together. If it's dark, but people are with her, she is fine. Or if she is alone, but it isn't dark, it's fine, but she doesn't like the two together." Star explained, letting out a yawn after she had finished speaking.

"Takios could get a dim light for Star. Maybe that could help Star sleep." Takios smiled, holding Star close to comfort her.
 
"Yeah. Star might sleep better with a dim light. Takios is smart. Star wants to smart like Takios," Star replied. She was slightly surprised when he held her close, and in response, she slowly curled up in his arms, her eyes closing, without falling completely asleep. "Takios is a wonderful person."

"Thanks..." Takios blushed a bit but smiled.


"Takios will be sure to get Star one tonight." Takios smiled widely, holding Star close.
 
"Takios doesn't need to rush, if he doesn't have enough time," Star said, smiling as well, as she stayed in his arms, feeling a bit better already. She felt as though she could easily just fall asleep, being held close the way she was.

"Alright. Takios will buy some things for breakfast now." Takios stood up, letting Star go gently and took his black jacket and put the hoodie on.


"Goodbye Star. If anyone asked where Takios is, just tell them he is buying ingredients for cooking." Takios smiled and waved at Star before leaving the mansion.
 
Star waved back and watched him leave, her smile still remaining on her face. She stayed on the couch and looked out the window across the room. When she looked up, She saw Odeus turn the corner and face her.


"Star is a Yugen, and she should remember that," Odeus said, narrowing her eyes at him.


"So is Takios-"


"Yugens and Yugens is the same thing as Yugens and Humans. Yugens can't fall in love, and Star should know that."


"But why?"


"Star already knows."


"Who says Star is even in l-lo... love?"


"Star's face is easily evident."


Star only then realized how red her face was.


"Who says Takios is even in love with Star?"


"Star just needs to be careful. Does she want to turn out like Neo and Camille?"


"Star is careful. Star won't have bad fate."


"Odeus can see the strings of destiny leading in a bad direction."


Star turned away from him, looking back out the window.

A while later, Takios got back to the house safely with the ingredients. He took off his jacket and headed to the kitchen.
 
"Welcome back, Takios!" Star said, happily, as she got up and walked to the kitchen after him, "Star wants to help this time! What are they making?"

"They are going to make pancakes this time. Takios has got some ingredients for lunch too." Takios smiled as he walked into the kitchen, placing the ingredients down onto the counter. He took out the eggs and started to place them into the fridge but left out 2 cartons. He placed the other ingredients for lunch inside the fridge and closed it before starting to cook.
 
"Pancakes?" Star questioned. "Maybe Star will just watch, after all." She scratched the back of her head awkwardly, watching closely as Takios cooked, not taking her eyes off his hands, and noting almost every move he made.
 
Takios chuckled before starting to make the batter in two big bowls. A while later after mixing, he started to pour the batter into a pan and started to make them.
