Between Two Hateful Sides (Telios x Ene Kagerou)

"Takios is becoming a full Yugen," Star pointed out. "Thanks for everything, Takios." She gave him a small kiss on the cheek before going inside her room with a smile.

"H-Huh?" Takios wondered what Star was taking about before blushing when Star kissed him on the cheek. He then walked back to his room.
 
"It's dark," Star pointed out to herself, once he had left, "Th-that's okay though. Star will be okay. It will all be okay. Nothing to worry about. Monsters don't exist. Demons do.." She slowly shuffled towards her bed, tripping over something on the way, and falling with a faceplate to the floor. "Ow..." She moaned, and then more scared, asked herself, "What was that?!"


She quickly rolled over and jumped up sitting on her bed, curled up in a ball, surrounded by darkness.

Takins stretched when he is in his room. He brushed his teeth in the bathroom before lying down on his bed. Quickly, he fell asleep.
 
After sitting there for a while, Star eventually fell asleep, only to have dreams of blankness and black space engulfing her. Her demon was in Takios' dreams right now, so she wouldn't be able to have any dreams until that was back.


As soon as Takios fell asleep, rather than having normal dreams, the Yugen demon inside of him forced its way into his dreams. He had black hair and white ears, and was dressed in completely black and white, with red marks around him, very similar to the marks on Leah. His face was covered by a simple mask, and attached to his belt was a katana.
 
"Wh-Where am I...?" Takios soon woke up and got up in his dream and looked around until he found the Yugen Demon.


"Right. The talk with the demon inside you..." Takios thought to himself, slowly walking over to the demon.
 
The demon faced him when Takios approached. "Hello, my new master" He said, his voice sounding slightly sarcastic, "I like this new look. What do you think? Black is so much more in style for demons than white right now, so thanks to you, I'm in style." He sat down in a chair that appeared in thin air, snapping his fingers for another one to appear.


"Please, Make yourself feel at home! Take a seat, if it pleases you."

"Uh... Yes..." Takios hesitantly answered as the chair appeared behind him and he sat down.


"So this is the talking with your demon when sleeping, right?" Takios asked.
 
The demon laughed at him. "You aren't on a schedule or anything. Were you plan on meeting with some one in your dreams or something?"


The demon had a very teasing tone of voice. "Ah, My love! I don't get enough of you all day, so with my new powers, I hope to see you in my dreams as well, where we can do even more! My love!"


He looked back at Takios, from his small moment of mockery, "Sorta like that?"

Takios sighed and shook his head. He wasn't thinking about this kind of demon he would be talking about.
 
"Yes, I am your demon," He finally answered, "But There isn't any specific tradition or reason for me to get to know you. I chose to grow with Star, not you. I was forced inside you when you died. I just like to get the best out of every situation, so I decided to get to know you better. Normally I'd be with Star right now, to prevent her from feeling alone in the dark, but my curiosity got the better of me so I'm here."


He rested his chin on his hand, and continued to speak, "So, Master Takios, tell me about yourself."

"Um well..." Takios started thinking before telling the demon his past with the Yugens, always trying to help them and such until now.
 
"Hm? Why do you hesitate?" The demon said, "How about we make a deal? You ask me something, and I have to answer it no matter what. But in exchange, you must answer each question I ask no matter what. We will take turns asking questions, and if either of us fails to answer, we must do a favor for the other."

"Alright, Shall I ask the first question? Or do you want it?" The demon asked, "Too late either way, since I just wasted a question."

"Alright, Thank you," The demon said, "In return, I'll ask an easy question. Hmm... Ah! I know, What is your favorite animal? I won't take any offense to anything."

"I'd like dragons or wolves but I had no other choice then so this is ok. So... I heard Odeus said that the Rabbit Yugens' power is dreams so how could that really be a power?" Takios answered before asking.
 
"Ah, It's simple really. If you can figure out how to control your dreams, you'll be able to create illusions and control those as well, and some rabbits have even had enough power to see the nightmares of other and makes those realistic. If you have enough control, you can even make the impact of these illusions to really happen, though each illusion has a weak spot," The demon explained, "My, such a good question despite being the first one you ask. Alrighty, What was it that you were so hesitant to talk about when I asked you about your past."

"Well... Yugens actually saved me. I couldn't remember which species are they but the two of them saved me and took me back to my parents. I was too young back then to remember anything." Takins sighed before asking: "How could I train my powers?"
 
"The best way to train is by being around a lot of Yugens, and watch all the different ways a person activates their powers," The demon explained, "I wouldn't be able to help you train, because despite how similar our physicality is, Yugens and Demons are very different. What is your biggest fear?"

"Fear... Losing the ones I care for, of course." Takios thought to himself for a while before answering. He then asked: "When Leah was going to die, what happened to him?"
 
"Odeus caused the demon to almost vanish, but instead that demon fused and became one with Leah, so now Leah is not a full Yugen, but rather half Yugen, half demon. The red marks on her skin verifies that," The demon replied, "When you say, 'him,' you DID mean her demon, right?"

"Do you think it's better to have powers? Or worse? And why?" The demon asked, grinning underneath his mask.
