Between Two Hateful Sides (Telios x Ene Kagerou)

"Let me show you and do it this time." Takios said, smiling as he added soap onto the scrubby and quickly washed the plates, forks and knives.
 
"Oh, I get it," Star said standing right behind him and looking over his shoulder as he washed the dishes.

".....All finished." Tekai smiled as he out the scrub aside, finished washing the plates, forks and knives.
 
Once he finished, Star grabbed a toweled, drying every fork or knife or plate, in less than two minutes. "Yay; Team work!" She exclaimed.

Star looked at Takios and smiled, feeling happy with the situation until she heard Usa exclaim, "Leah!" There was worry in her voice, and Star dashed to the front hall seeing Usa, an open front door, and Leah, who was practically covered in blood and in a bad condition. She stumbled through the door and almost fell to the ground, if not for Star catching her and supporting her weight. There were bullet marks all over her body, and so many that her regeneration had stopped working, meaning it was pointless.


"Leah! What happened?" Star asked.


"Leah found him... but he wasn't alone; They all had guns," Leah replied, breathing heavily.


"Why didn't you take some one with you?!"


"Everyone seemed busy."


Her eyes opened wider, and she coughed up blood. Her eyes grew red and her teeth grew sharper. A wolf's tail grew from her lower back and slowly she shifted into a wolf, not even able to scream due to the fact that it hurt so much. Her fur was pitch black and her eyes were crimson, slowly marks of red swirled around her entire body, and it was obvious that Leah was practically gone.


Tears ran down Star's cheek, until Odeus appeared, his eyes red with power.


"The power of the fox, intertwined with controlling fate, summons back the soul of Leah, that has once been lost," He said, placing a white strip of paper, on the wolf's forehead.


She shattered into bits, and reappeared as a sleeping Leah, though the red marks on her body remained.


Odeus walked away right after, going back to his room.
 
Takios quickly ran after Star and found Leah. He although a Yugen and he thought maybe he could heal Leah but he didn't know how so he just stood there helplessly until Odeus arrived and saved Leah. Takios was shocked knowing that Yugens are able to do such a thing and he was frozen in place, looking at the sleeping Leah.
 
Star picked Leah up on her back, and brought her over to a couch and laid her down. She kneeled down before her, and Usa and Uso rushed to her side, all of them looking at Leah with worried expressions.


"Can one of you go see if Odeus is alright?" Star asked.


"But," Uso said.


Star didn't take one eye off of Leah, making sure that she was still breathing.

"I-I will..." Takios said, still shaken from that mighty spell. He then headed to Odeus room and knocked on the door.
 
"Yes, Odeus will be fine," Odeus said, taking another deep breath. "His main power is transferring the strings of fate from one person to another. He is taking the pain of Leah's death, without his life ending. He will be fine after a few minutes. If there is anything else you would like to ask, please don't be afraid to ask it."

"Um... So that's the power of the fox Yugen, right?" Takios asked, sitting down next to him on his bed.
 
"Indeed. Each demon has a certain affiliation, though they all have the power to transfer," Odeus taught, free finally catching his breath, "The fox, with fate and destiny. The wolf with sensory. The horse with speed. The cow with strength. The ram and knowledge. The rabbit with dreams. There is many animals, and they are all learned at the Yugen school."

"With dreams..." Takios mumbled, thinking about how his power would like.


"The Yugen school?" Takios snapped back at reality and asked Odeus.
 
"Yes," Odeus, "Yugen do not usually fit in with humans, and do not have enough money to pay to go to the human schools, so they go to the Yugen school which is free to go to, even allowing Yugen to eat a free lunch of bread and clean water. There are even a few humans who go there, but not many. Similar to the fact that there are a few Yugen at the human schools, but not many. Yugen take normal classes, but also classes where they learn to control and use their powers to their advantage, as well as the history and types of demons."

"Hm...." Takios thought to himself for a while before adding: "I don't know if I should go there or stay here and train..."
 
"Either way has its own pros and cons," Odeus explained, "In the end, it depends on whether you prefer learning with others, or learning alone."

"I'll give it some thought. Thanks Odeus." Takios nodded before standing up and walked out of the room.
 
All the chaos seemed to die down a bit, for Leah had woken up, and everyone was acting normal, except Star, who was sitting on the front steps. She had wanted to take a break from it all, but instead found herself easing into slumber slowly, exhausted after all that had happened.

Takios sensed there was someone outside so he walked to the door and opened it. He found Star sleeping on the steps so he picked her up and closes the door, carrying her to her room.
 
Star woke up halfway in his arms, looking up at him with sleepy eyes. She gave a tired smile until she realized he was carrying her. Her face grew beet red. "T-Takios!" She stuttered, a bit flustered, "You d-don't have t-to p-pick me u-up l-like th-this if it's a bother! I mean- S-sorry for being a burden! Y-you c-an put me down if y-you w-want!" Star continued to ramble on nervously, her face still bright red.

"It's ok. Takios don't bother." Takios looked down at Star and smiled, didn't notice he started to talk like a real Yugen.
 
"U-Uh..." Star mumbled, deciding to shut herself up and stay in his arms. Her face, however, still remained pink. When she made eye contact with him, she realized how close they were and only grew redder.

Takios let Star down at her room's door.


"Here they are." Takios said, opening the door for Star, still haven't noticed that he was talking like that.
