Between Thin Lines

neverin

the lost one
Sol took off at a pace normal humans could never go at, the girls on his track team screamed his names the guys stared at him with indignation... He hated them all, popularity was a sin that filled you with greed, and having it made you a monster, that is if you gave into it. he tried to shake the people from him, the girls seemed to love his evil glare, the guys could not stop talking to him about being better, and the teachers never stopped thanking him for understanding all their techniques.

He was sick of it. he did not understand it, he did not want to know what would happen if he just gave it all up. They never knew that he had no real parents, he was adopted by pure assholes and his step sister seemed to love him more than anyone else, of course that shouldn't be a problem, except for the fact that she always clinged to him and she was about three years younger than him. she tried to take a bath with him once... that was awkward because she found out about the weird spikes running down his back and the two that were barely noticeable on his head.

The spikes or horns were a trouble, he could never cut his hair because of it, and the ones on his back only came out when in a really hot climate or when he was... well aroused. This came to make his life a living hell, because on top of all of that he had to deal with something even stranger, each couple of months his eyes turned a deep crimson and his skin burnt and became hard yet smooth and black... not normal black, but the black that seemed to go into the depths of chaos itself.

Sol knew he was not normal, and he had just shown the whole school how abnormal he was. He had run........... twenty laps in one minute. Everyone was shocked and they all stared at the horns atop his head, they all saw how strange he really was, but something even weirder happened..... they all fell down

((sorry small post))

Heylen wondered if it was possible for Sol to even act normal. He was more broody than she ever was. She often thought herself too broody. In fact she found herself trying to get over things, not thinking of anything past her duty. Her duty was to protect Sol. A duty she did not find she liked or enjoyed.

Since she was pulled out of school... and turned into an experiment, she threw out whatever chance at a normal life she thought she would ever have. It was nothing but a pleasant dream. Sol thought he was a freak... quite honestly he was, but she was no exception. She was fast.. but not as fast as him. Probably the same with strength and eyesight. However she was far better trained them him. Why was she protecting him? Because he was a prince.. of another planet. Of all things an alien.

An alien.

During school hours, Len watched Sol... not as far as she would have liked. In fact she stayed close to Sol daily. She treated him not like a friend however, but as if he was her employer. He wasn't exactly her employer... but his well being and safety was to be put before her own at all times. Her employer was actually her parent's employer. The government. Why the government was sticking their necks out for some extinct alien... Len will never know. As she didn't have the clearance to know... she just knew she had to watch him.

Today... she watched Sol run around the track. Quickly. Did he even try and make an effort to seem normal?

Her mind wandered with the mention of normal. What would she cook for dinner tonight? She could go the easy route and cook eggs, but after a couple nights of eggs, it was maybe time to make somthing else. Perhaps pizza. Or maybe---

Her attention was quickly grabbed when everyone around her suddenly seem to just hit the ground. Quickly Len got into a fighting stance, her eyes traveling around her surroundings till it landed on Sol, who stood in the middle of the track, horned and all.

The fact was......Sol was pretty scared right know, everyone had fallen due to an unknown cause and all but Heylen was standing, how had she survived whatever had occurred, was it because she was kind of like him... better than the lot of these people, better than most people on earth actually, and they both knew that from experience, they were not being cocky, they just knew better to underestimate themselves.

Probably one of the reasons he never tried to be normal, it always worked out his way in the end anyway, girls seemed to love him, guys wanted to be him. And worst of all he just wanted to be normal. He had never asked or any of this.Never!

He wanted it all to end, none of this was ever supposed to happen, hell Even his existence seemed to go against everything in the world, all the laws of science and all the laws of physics seemed to break in front of him, he was the destroyer, he was the creator and the only way to protect the world was for his death to commence, but for some reason he was kept alive.

Sol took a step towards len before being tackled by someone, it hurt and most people would never be able to tackle him. It must be either isis or...... who could it be, but as he opened his eyes and gazed upon the red hair covering around his body. And that damned smile that always got to him...he knew.

Isis had taken sol by surprise again, and it felt awesome being able to tackle him, he was usually on alert and she would never be able to sneak up on him without him noticing. Maybe it was because of the strange event that had taken place in the middle of the field.

"Hey sol.....what the hell happened here? did you do this" Her voice was soft as she played with his hair, before jumping up and leaning towards him with a goofy smile on her face, He seemed different today, maybe it was because he had finally turned seventeen, or maybe it was just that he was out of it.

He chuckled softly as she spoke, How the hell was he supposed to know what had happened, all he knew was that she him and len were all unaffected by what had occurred here, getting up and pushing Isis to the side in a playful manner he turned towards were Len sat "Hey do you have any idea what happened,.... this is really strange right" He yelled out to her as he started walking towards her.

As he walked he noticed that everyone was on the ground, but they all had there eyes open, and they were all still breathing. Was it some kind of gas that did not affect them, was this the goverment's fault, or was it something else? Maybe! but something like that would never happen to them, unless something really dire had come up.

OOC Please choose another color for Isis. I can barely read that.

Isis was a leach.

That was what Heylen thought of the girl. She was always around him, begging for his attention like a puppy who could not get enough. It was almost sickening and made Len want to toss her cookies. Why didn't Sol see that the girl was painfully in love with him. It was ridiculous. But when Isis and Sol approached her she gave a small but bright smile.

"I haven't the slightest of clues, however we don't seem to be in danger at the moment." Len said. It was in her strange cold fashion. It was not like she was being friendly. Merely answering Sol's inquiry. She was almost sure he was the cause, else she would have known about them soon enough. "I suggest we return home and then contact Mother or Father about the situation." She suggest helpfully. Still... she did want to punch Isis in the face. She never once let on to her disdain to the girl, so she was sure she did not know.

Edit: OOC Thanks.
Edit: OOC :)

"you sure.........mom and dad might act differently to this then weird things that happen... And I don't want to be locked up in that damn cell again" Whenever things like this happened he was usually thrown into a cell, they always said it was for his protection. But he always felt as if he was being punished, and on top of it they always made it smell weird, and whenever he was in there too long he always fell asleep... maybe they were doing that on purpose.

The thought of it kind of scared him, and he turned from len for a second, did she know what they were doing to him then, or was she just an innocent bystander. Maybe, maybe not. He would soon ask her and find out, he always had a way to make people leak their secrets to him, just was some sort of gift he had, It sometimes got him in trouble though.

Like this one occasion where he was forced to fight a gang of people because of one flimsy secret about a inappropriate magazine that was brought to school by the school football star. Hell that was one fight he had gotten himself into " hey Len, do you think Isis could come with us, maybe they won't put me into that damn cell if she comes along..I mean...... Please" His voice became smooth and soft as he asked her this, she could always be a hard ass on him, but he guessed that was just the way she was raised.

Isis looked at sol, the to len, she always disliked len, they seemed to always be opposites and fighted a lot. Maybe it was because they both wanted sol's attention, well at least she wanted sol's attention, it was what she crave and lived off of. It was what she desired, and she could never get enough of it, call her addicted but she just could not help loving sol.

As she started walking beside him as they headed towards len she clinged to his arm and whispered into his ear " what do your parents do that so bad, do they like lock you up....man that sucks! Why don't you just run away or something, like over to my house." She knew that she was a bad influence, but sol never told her to go away, maybe it was because sol actually liked her. After all they were lifetime friends, together forever he had once said.

"No. Isis can go home as well." Len said with a small smile, "It could be dangerous." There was no way in hell Len was going to let Isis to come with her. She heard what Isis whispered down to Sol about being locked up in a cell. Heylen was unsure about anything about being in a dungeon. She ignored Isis's whisper. Why did she think Len wouldn't hear it? She didn't trust Isis... and for good reason.

Quietly Len gave herself a mental pat on the back for a job well done. Isis must be prevented from having children with Sol. As Len was Sol's biological daughter from the future... If Sol didn't have her with the right women then the world would never be saved from the planet eater coming to this place almost 56 years in the future.

56 years from now Len was actually 34 years old and born from Sol from another woman whom Len must find. She loved her mother... but she didn't want to dwell on that now. Right now... she must follow her father's wishes to make sure he makes the right decision that will save the world. She must prepare Sol for the coming battle.

Before she left for the past, her father taught her a move to teach himself, to end the horrible monster before it do what horrible damage it did to the future. With Len's help and at his side, she is sure that they will will and protect the future. However Len's main goal is to make sure Sol ends up with the right women and assure her own birth.

Time travel however was hard on Len's body. Changing the memories of the whole of the government was just as hard. It cost her many years or her life, but because of the time travel her body went backwards in age. She was not sure if this oddly worked out for her or worked against her. However it didn't stop her from being experimented on, earning her more powers than she would ever believe.
