Better navigation?

The way forums are set up now is rather nice, but navigation seems to be a tad tedious.


Now, I know it's not that difficult to click one spot and let it load and then just go back. It just seems a bit too convoluted at times. It can be particularly daunting on mobile where well....multiple tabs open does not work quite as well as it does on comp.  Haha.


Would it be possible on a future update to make it so some forums can be merged? (Even I'm getting tired of suggesting this and saying it x3) But on a sort of tab-esque system? Or something where multiple parts of an rp are easily accessible from one single page without having to go back one or to the main to find them. Like, one could keep them separate like that are now if they like, but if they wanted to, merge some forums onto one page with tabs to switch between them. Even making it so the links to the other parts were just at the top of the forum on each page would be pretty nice and make things feel a bit smoother.


It would be quite handy to, let's say, merge a main thread with OOC. That way, one could switch from IC to OOC in a flash and not have to go back to the main page and dig for it. It would simply be right there and ready to go! and may cut down on loading times as well with there not being such a process just to get to the other page.


It certainly may be far easier on mobile users if anything and //if anyone does this as well// Mean far less tabs open on a computer as well.


No idea how complex this would be to do, but if possible, it would definitely make the site and forums much easier to move around in.

If you click on 'Edit Collab Menu' in your 'Roleplay Management' menu that you may find on the main page of your roleplay, you can set add links as you requested to your RP. Those links may be to forums, threads or even individual posts as long as you can get the link for those. (Which you can get by clicking on share on your computer, at least.)  Then as long as someone was in a page from your roleplay's forum they would be able to click at the Roleplay Menu and select either the IC or OOC thread.

That is helpful! But it still would be rather nice to simply have them there automatically. That way they are always above each forum for quick and easy access, even of it's just the links that would be so handy.

I don't think that they can be there just automatically, because each forum is or ends up differently. It isn't something hard to add. Though there could be a button on the topics/subforums themselves that would automatically add them to the list.

If your in the rp arena area, There would just be a box above every forum under there that has the names/links to the other forums you have in that category. That way you can just click on something in that to get to another part rather than going back to the rp main page so much. Or a drop down menue would also work well.

Oh, now I see what you are talking about! I also would want to see something like that here. I think I can get graphic examples of what you might be talking about.  Sincerely, it is something i'd also reaaaaaaally want to see around.

It would make things so much easier! And doesn't sound terribly difficult to implicate. And definitely much easier to navigate on mobile. Maybe even make the site a tad less intimidating for new users and nicer for veterans.
