Biography: Darwin Pike had it easier than most people in his life. His parents made a decent living, taking residence out in various sectors of High City. They were constantly moving around for his fathers work. As a child, Pike was led to believe his father was of the militia and their constant moving was due to being oved stations. Later he found that was the surface of the truth, his father opening up the "family business" with his only child. The years Pike had spent during his childhood training to use firearms and remain stealthy became much clearer than just having a military father. The life of an assassin within High City was dangerous and required a low profile. Instead of living a lavish lifestyle that was easily affordable, they were forced to mingle with the middle class citizens.

Pike honed his skills until he surpassed his father. He easily found a spot among the Elites, a class of citizens that made up such a small portion of society, most people don't know it exists. He finally got the lavish lifestyle he thought he deserved ever since seeing his families bank. It had been unfair to him that the wealth hadn't been used to make their lives easier and more comfortable. Now, he was living within High City, at the top of the Villas. His father had claimed the job forced them to move often, but Pike found ways that could prevent that happening for himself, at the cost of a hefty amount of tokens. To Pike, this had become a pocket change security measure.

Darwin Pike's most recent job was to take him to a poor Division, Lockewood. The contract was simple enough but paid a highly suspicious amount. With his "no questions asked" policy, he took the job regardless. Some people were vengeful and willing to pay a pretty price just to be rid of someone they didn't like. His target was a local politician, one that to Pike appeared to be a no body. He shuttled his way to Lockewood and completed his task easy enough. He sent a picture of the completed job over his neurolink and waited at a local bar for his payment. He watched the news rambling about something with food rations and struggles with keeping the rat population under control. Normal stuff for these lower classed Divisions. When the mention of immediate lockdown appeared on the screen, Pike knew he was in some deep trouble. This was not something he could pay his way out of. He wanted, needed to get back to High City and would do anything he could to achieve that. Even if that meant banding with some misfits.

Name: Endor Ann Davidson

Nickname/Alias/Title: Ellen Mars

Age: 28

Gender: Female

Division: High City

Social Status: Middle Class

Implants:
Advanced Brain - Simply allows her brain to function at a faster rate.

Personality Traits:
Blunt
Introverted
Book Nerd

Biography: Endor was born into a High Class family, but a few years after her birth her father died leaving her mother a widow. Mrs. Davidson was a seamstress and couldn’t pay enough for their Villa. While her mother was fitting dresses for clients Endor read books. Endor went to school as much as possible and she became top of her class by graduation. As a gift for becoming valedictorian she was rewarded with an implant of her choice. Which helped her a lot when she went to a small academy.

Endor joined a scientific academy where she was taught many things. Some were definitely not scientific, like shooting a gun. The academy she went to was not an ordinary one. Instead it was one where she was taught how to be an agent for the government. She became top of her class again and soon was hired by the government to be one of their more trusted scientists. Endor performed many experiments for the government that were highly classified. She often had to go to poorer places for the samples she needed to conduct her research.

So when Endor applied to go to Lockewood it was no surprise to her superiors. She knew something was wrong with the rats there and took it upon herself to find out. After successfully collecting some rats for her experiments she went to one of the shelters and handed them a few tokens. That’s when the old TV mentioned an immediate lockdown. Endor ran to the nearest exit of the division but the guards wouldn’t let her leave. She was stuck. With no way out.

Accepted :) I look forward to character dynamic between her and Pike for sure

Panya west.jpgName:
Panya Huxley
Nickname/Alias/Title:
Panda bear, Subject 27

Age:
9

Gender:
Female

Division:
Lockewood

Social Status:
Higher low class

Implants:
Inter-species communication - This allows her to communicate with different species. It was meant specifically for the rats but sometimes works with other animals as well.

Personality Traits:
Bubbly
Skeptical of people
Brutally honest
Captivating

Biography:
Panya was born into an already poor family, and if that wasn't hard enough when her father saw that his wife had a girl he left.
Panya's mother was left with her new born child and an older boy, who at the time was only 12. Despite this she tried her best to give her new baby all she could.
She spent her time cleaning houses and taking care of higher class children; the money she got from this was just enough to pay for rent and a bit of food for each of them.
But because she worked so much she left her little boy to take care of the baby. Panya had a close relationship with her brother because of this.
They were inseparable growing up, and as soon as Panya could walk and talk her brother was teaching her the ways of the streets.
Together they would go around and steal from vendors and high class citizens visiting. She was taught to lie and how to appeal to peoples emotions.
Her brother also taught her the best places to hide from the authorities. By the time she was 6 she was your regular thief, and she enjoyed it.
Everything seemed perfect, but nothing would prepare Panya or her mother for when Panya's brother suddenly left at the age of 17.
They had no idea where he went or what he was doing; all they knew was that every now and then money would be deposited into their bank.

Panya's mother used this money to send Panya to school. After all she had no one to take care of her while she was gone at work, so it seemed the best option.
But Panya hated it. The people at school were all mean and she didn't like her teacher. All she wanted to do was leave.
One day though, while she was sitting outside for recess, she saw some rats fighting over a piece of bread.
Panya watched them for a moment before going over and tearing the bread in two. The rats tried to attack her at first but then calmed down when the food was returned.
After this Panya tried every day to watch the rats; they started to grow accustomed to her.

A year after this her mother got fired from one of her babysitting jobs. The small family quickly didn't have enough to eat.
Panya's mother was scrambling to find another way to make money; when she heard of a scientist who was paying people to get an implant.
It took her a while to decide, but finally she signed Panya up for this program. The implant had already been tested on a few other subjects.
So far it had failed, but maybe it was Panya's already formed relationship with the rats that lead to it's success.
The scientist was ecstatic when it worked. They would call Panya in every now and then to study her, and after these studies Panya's mother would receive money.
It wasn't a bad deal. Panya enjoyed it and they were getting money from it. But every now and then the implant would have some negative side affects.

The scientists had offered Panya's mother a simple cleaning job in their lab, and she happily took it.
That's where she had been when the lockdown for Lockewood was announced.
The lab was a few sectors down from Lockewood and when she tried to get back in; she wasn't allowed.
Her little girl, Panya, was left all alone in Lockewood now. And Panya could be none the wiser; she was happily walking around the streets of her town.
Blissfully unaware of the panic surrounding her. It was only until she arrived home and her mother wasn't there that she started to panic herself.

  • Yuriye Ivanov

    Title

    The Iron Vice

    Gender

    Cis Female

    Age

    26

The higher the cost, the greater the gain.

    [Division]
Yuriye is from all over the place- High City, New Lima, Division Twelve, Shaketown; you name it.

    [Social Status]
Equally in flux- started out middle, went low, got back up to high, clawing and scratching every inch of the way.

    [Modifications]
Upgraded Neurolink with multi-tracker, as well as scrambling and reboot functions
Artificial mechanized left arm, stronger and faster than that of any ordinary human

    [Personality]
Yuriye is tough and self-reliant, rigid and well-organized. The high expectations she has of the people she works with match the high expectations she has of herself.

The idea of trusting in or having to rely on anyone else is deeply distasteful to her, and she's made a career out of both being extremely reliable and always having an exit strategy for when things inevitably go sideways.

    [Biography]
As a typical military brat in a single-parent household, Yuriye's situation brought her to live wherever her father happened to be assigned. As a kid, this meant she got to see a lot more of the world than the average middle-classer, from the dirtiest slums to the fanciest mansions.

When she was thirteen, however, her dad was killed in what essentially amounted to a civil war zone in one of the poorer divisions, and she was left to fend for herself. She lost her left arm in an explosion and went without it for the next six years, scraping to get by.

Through a combination of ingenuity and luck, she was able to get herself out of that hellhole and into High City, where she wormed her way into influential circles, getting to know more than one useful scumbag along the way and eventually buying a replacement arm.

She realized soon after that High City was too big of a pond for her to make her mark, and she chose to move to Lockewood instead. People thought her crazy for it but, three years later, she's one of the most powerful and influential crime bosses of the entire city.

She plans to ride out this lockdown as she has everything else in life so far: by waiting it out, keeping a level head and a watchful eye, and seizing the opportunities when they arise.
