So as of right now we're all leaning towards surrendering right?
Also how would they deal with Juniper when deciding a punishment? In her current state she's more akin to someone being mind-controlled than anything else. Who knows if she will ever recover from her mental breakdown.
You mean, how would she be sentenced in a potential trial? I dunno. She lived her life as a brigand and then as a loyal soldier in an enemy army. I don't know what kinds of things she's responsible for doing in either of those roles, but her punishment would presumably be tied to the severity of those crimes.
As a general, she might have similar political value to Rai in that enemy soldiers might decide not to keep fighting if her life is leveraged in exchange for peace.
Also worth noting that she, like Silver, was raised into her situation and may not have had any choice but to become what she did. Despite that, like Silver, she not only surrendered peacefully (in this scenario), but she also helped Arryn save his friend's life. He might be willing to vouch for her because of it. I can't say how the sentence would he decided ultimately because it's a genuinely hard question and I don't know, but I suppose all those things would be considered.
As for her mental status, I guess whatever her punishment (short of death), she would be treated to the Aetherian version of psychotherapy, if they have that. Of course, we're talking about a medieval justice system in a fantasy kingdom, so who even knows if psychology and/or therapy is a thing there? Worst case scenario, she might just be sentenced and then left to fend for herself with whatever baggage she has to carry as the punishment is carried out.
