Most cases of hypothermia in the Summer seem to he related to hiking or boating, so yeah, lack of preparedness is probably a big part of it.
 
Yeah, you can totally get hypothermia as long as you stay in wet clothes. It’ll most likely be a mild case, but still hypothermia. Since it’s been raining all day in RP time, I’d imagine the temperature has dropped to the low 70s F to high 60s F. I’d say that’s chilly enough. Constantly getting hit with water will lower your body temperature too. Another thing to note is it’s getting darker therefore cooler.

Another thing to consider is that you can get a bad bacterial infection, especially if you have an open wound whether small or large. Pneumonia or some type of respiratory infection could also be a thing if the mold contacts water and gets into your nose. While infections are usually more prevalent during the summer time

Edit: To add my thoughts to getting hypothermia more in the warmer months, it’s more like people don’t expect to get it. The symptoms start off mild and then get worse. Kind of like how people think temperature changes cause colds when it’s not even a causal relationship. It’s more like you’re hot or you’re cold so you go inside where there are more people taking shelter from the weather, and you get it from them because they have or are carrying the virus.

They'll be a slight break between chapter one and two, would ya'll be interested in writing lore entries for Oni, Shapeshifters and Banshees respectively?

The lore will become a bit more solid now that everything has been set up. We can get into a wee bit more detail on headcanons and such.
