VIPER NY HEADQUARTERS

It was time to assemble a new team. There was a new big job that was coming up, so the letters were dispersed to the necessary members of said new team. This mission was going to require, stealth, brawn, brains, skills, tech, and fighting prowess. All the individuals were chosen who would fit the bill for these various activities. However as per their psych evaluations, most of them would not be fit for any normal job in this day and age. That of course, made them perfect pickups for VIPER.

Everyone knows that the best in given fields were also eccentric and possibly unstable, so VIPER would usually do its best to acquire these individuals by offering generous sums of money to lure them away from the straight and narrow. Besides, most of these people fell through the cracks of the now modern society anyway.

All of these individuals would receive a letter telling them to meet at the proper location of the briefing room within the NY headquarters. All members should be on site or at least close enough by that the "Mailman" would be able to give them their notice.

From the outside, the VIPER NY Headquarters seemed like a non descript office building, just as generic as hundreds of others within the city. Nothing that would draw the eye or signal anything out of place. However, once gaining entry inside and working past the android workers, inputting the correct passwords and taking the express elevator down into the basement, would you seen anything different.

The actual base was very large and had secret tunnels for easy escape or deployment of defense troops if necessary. It wouldn't be the first time that a base was compromised and a grand purge would need to be necessitated. However, many security features had been added since then.

The base itself had an R&D lab, an Armory, dormitories, a mess hall, a command center, a weapons range, a training room and a briefing room.

The briefing room was nondescript except for the large table with chairs around it and an orb in the center.

-------------------------------

The large Soviet robot was in power saver mode when he heard a knock at the door and a piece of paper slip underneath the door. He powered up into full active mode and read the small sheet of paper, pumping his robotic fist up into the air.

"YESSS!! IT IS TIME TO SHOW OFF THE FULL MIGHT OF THE SOVIET EMPIRE ONCE AGAIN!!" He loudly boomed as he bolted out the door and headed to the briefing room. He was as always very eager to show off his abilities and construction in active service of VIPER. They found him in an abandoned Soviet Base and decided that he would be useful for their schemes as VIPER was not in the habit of wasting anything.

With the promises of helping him restore the Soviet Empire to its former self, he was very eager to prove himself and show off his worth. Boisterous and overconfident, this robot was once the cutting edge technology during the Cold War, tangling with heroes on a regular basis.

It didn't take long to get to the briefing room as he walked past various personnel, both mechanical and not, somehow not knocking over anyone. He opened the door and stood off to the side as none of the chairs would fit him if he tried to sit down.

VIPER HQ, New York

In a dark alley near the office building housing the VIPER base, Trigger checked the blood-stained note and confirmed that he is on the correct street. Although the letter he recieved was slightly damaged and stained with blood after VIPER's messenger walked into a tripwire and set off a claymore while trying to deliver the message, the writing on paper was still readable. The office building that mercenary demolitionist was looking on was indeed supposed to be a top secret base of a powerful criminal organization. Still worrying that this might be a trap, Trigger pulled out his PDW, made sure the safety is off and walked towards the office building.

As Trigger entered the lobby, he quickly screened the area for dangers, but spotted nothing more than several android receptionists behind desks and similarly mechanical janitor. Demolitionist approached the elevator, trying to keep an eye on it and the android workers at the same time. He punched the code from VIPER's message into the keypad and entered the elevator. After a while, the doors opened again, revealing a small room with armored door at the end. Trigger looked around. At first glance the only things inside the room were a desk, with yet another android sitting behind it. Closer inspection revealed four or the metal plates that made up the room's walls were not permamently attached to the others, propably hiding automated turrets. Trigger carefully entered the room and approached the android, still holding his gun.

-Greetings. Please say the password.

Trigger pulled out the blood stained note and recited the password. The android opened the door in response.

-Welcome to VIPER, recruit. You are expected to go to the briefing room number 04 at entry floor. You will find it in the the corridor left of the entrance. Please hide your gun and avoid handling unsecured weapons in public spaces as this may...

Immedieately after getting his directions, demolitionist went through the door. Looking for any signs of hostility among passing workers and androids, Trigger held his PDW in hand as he entered the briefing room. He had no idea what to expect, but a cold war-era Soviet robot was certainly not one of these things.

Jackson were nervours, how did they find him, he thought he was untraceable. It didn’t matter, he just need to go there and do a job, then he would be payed, hopefully in cash.
He walked into the VIPER NY Headquarters, having already checked it for cameras, and made his way to the elevator, he didn’t know what to expect, it was an enclosed space, maybe they had flamethrowers in there, he slowly pined in the code and the elevator opened. After having checked it for flamethrowers twice he finally stepped in and let the doors close.

It made it down to the basement, and Jackson took out his sharpened plastic knife, a weapon he hat made just so he could get rid of it easier, as the doors opened and he stepped out he felt a bit more calm, he could tell this wasn’t a government set up, mostly because if it had been he would already have been in chains, he began to make his way down to the briefing room and as finaly arrived, he sighed with relief, he slowly opened the door half expecting his luck to turn. He was pleasantly surprised finding a communist robot and a demolitionist

VIPER HQ, New York
Lockwood didn't tell VIPER where she actually lived. Though she wouldn't be at all surprised if they had tried to have her followed in order to find out. Her contact place of choice was an ordinary P.O. box located on a wall surrounded by at least twenty others. Hiden in plain sight.

Dressed in a brown leather trenchcoat Lock already had an edge to her. That particular day she was wearing her standard 'uniform' of cargo trousers, black tank top and combat boots. She had a tall, slim build, and tanned skin remiscent of somewhere that wasn't in any American state. Her brown hair was in dread locks.

She knew it was a VIPER message as soon as she opened the box. She'd worked for them before, they paid well and didn't ask questions, which suited her down to the ground. Leaning against the wall she opened the message and read it. Lock grabbed her kit bag, a black non descript sports bag and slung it over her shoulder.

She went through VIPER' security protocals, keying in all the codes correctly, aware that somebody was no doubt monitoring her progresss as she made her way towards the lift, and then to the meeting room.

She entered the room, noting that she wasn't the first. Her new team mates seemed to be a demolition expert, another guy who she'd peg as a thief and....a sovier era robot. Not weird at all. She leant herslf against the wall, away from all of them and waited.

Location: [Meeting room]

Shin yawned and checked his watch. Almost time to go to that briefing, he thought. He stretched conspicuously and looked around, breathing in that crisp New York air. Even at this time of the morning, people were already rushing all around, and he smiled watching all the activity. The city that never sleeps was indeed aptly named, and Shin had always felt at home here (and in other similar cities around the globe). He stayed still a little while longer, sipping his coffee and watching the crowds, before casually tossing it in a trash can, standing up and stretching again, and looking around. From here, he could get on a bus or catch the subway, or even take a cab, but it was such a nice day that Shin decided to walk- VIPER headquarters was only a few blocks away.

Deciding as he started making his way there that he needed more caffeine, he got a second coffee and sipped it as he walked. He wondered what the job would be this time, and who would be on the team. One good thing- he wasn't worried. His experiences with VIPER had taught him that, even though the people they employed were unorthodox and often crazy, they knew what they were doing and they got the job done. Shin was looking forward to meeting the team, getting the details of the assignment, and planning the operation. He was also, of course, looking forward to being paid but, if he was honest with himself, it was the challenge and the thrill that attracted him to this life more than the money. Though the money was definitely a nice little perk...

When he got to the building, he nodded at the automated receptionists and headed straight for the elevators, punching in the access code and zooming up the levels of the skyscraper. Somewhere close to the top, the doors dinged open, and he stepped out into a familiar corridor. He casually strolled down while sipping the rest of his coffee and pushed open a door on the left at the end. When he walked in, he saw that about half the team was already assembled there: a clean-cut, military-looking guy carrying a gun, a weird-looking guy with no distinguishing features, all covered up and dressed in white, and that hilarious Soviet robot. Shin grinned when he saw this last, and made a beeline straight for him.

"For the glory of the Soviet Empire!" he boomed as he approached the robot with his arms wide. Before the machine could react, he had hugged as much of it as he could reach and a small tool had appeared in his hand. He used it to pry open a panel on the back and plug in a thin wire. He then stepped away from the robot, grinning, and pressed a button on his music player. 'The Star-Spangled Banner' began blaring from the robot's speakers, much to their owner's displeasure, and Shin burst out laughing.

"Happy Veterans Day, everyone!" he called jovially, taking a seat at the table and enjoying himself immensely.

Talia stared at the note for a moment, raising an eyebrow. She was excited, don’t get her wrong, but she had just gone on a mission and this back to back action was draining her a bit. NY wasn’t exactly her style, either. LA? Now THAT was her style. She looked up at the building, her black ripped jeans and combat boots a good choice for the weather. She was glad she wore her pink short sleeve with it, otherwise she would be burning up.

Talia made her way into the building, honestly impressed with the level of security VIPER had every time. She waited till the elevator dinged, on her phone the whole time. She then looked up, and smiled as she left the room. She walked to the conference room, and saw a lot of people that were already there. “Oh, am I the last one here?” She asked, tilting her head.

“Sorry if I’m late, I must’ve lost track of time!” She said happily. She then saw the robot, and beamed. “Oh, wow. You must be the tank, huh? That’s cool!” She said before looking around the room. She waved to the others, before taking a seat next to the guy with the blonde hair. “Let me guess.... you’re our hacker.” She said with a small smile. She only guessed by the fact that he did seem to have any weapons. Then again, calling him a hacker was in no form an insult. Those guys could absolutely destroy anyone’s information in seconds.

A note was slipped under her door.

She knew what it was. She was being called for a job. She didn’t know why she was being called, though. Usually she’s the one that asks after available missions.

The note said it was just a briefing, so she’d have time to go back and fill up Flapjack’s food bowl before the mission for however long she might be gone.

‘Hm.’

Mask, glove, guns, jacket, hood, and Six stepped out the door.

Six was already on VIPER property given that she lived there, so there were fewer hoops to jump through to get to the briefing room. It also made it a shorter walk, which she appreciated. Every dark corner she passed was given a short but intense moment of scrutiny. Since her ‘retirement,’ every corner had someone hiding in it, waiting for her. Her own little ghosts. The elevator being well-lit helped to mitigate how claustrophobic it felt.

Finally, she arrived at the briefing room.

Six stepped through the door.

She appeared to completely ignore everyone else as she immediately went for the farthest corner of the room, dragging two chairs over on her way. But by the time she’d sat down and propped her feet up on the other seat, she was running them over in her head.

Bot, Soldier, Sunglasses, Trenchcoat, Twig, Chatterbox.

What a mess.

ADLER, CALLUM (CODENAME: ARGOS)

VIPER HQ, NEW YORK

He strolled through familiar doors, inputted codes into familiar keypads, and made his way to the familiar briefing room, snaking along the bland corridors. The man known as Argos plunged into some semblance of a trance upon gaining entry to the building that VIPER called home. His hands and feet moved with purpose, albeit not under the guise of conscious direction.

His mind drifted from the concern of the physical. At the moment he preferred to dwell on more… intimate matters. He’d recently acquainted himself with a local coffee shop because he found the brand served there more amicable with his highly sensitive tastes.

But whilst he had approached the establishment for chemical stimulation, he stayed for a different sort of stimulant. Her name was Emma, and he’d been smitten the moment she took his order.

Three months he had been a regular, and yet he had not so much as said a watered-down “thank you” to her; something he always chided himself on to no avail.

Why must you be such a dolt? Why don’t you just say something?! Say anything!

His self-criticism was tossed aside when he realized he’d skipped the briefing room. He gritted his teeth and twitched to slam his fist into the wall before checking the motion. As much as the frustration needed venting, it’d only anger him more to be charged for damaged VIPER property.

He scurried back the way he’d come and leapt into the crowded briefing room, positioning himself just to the side of the doorway. He surveyed the room and soaked in the information that presented itself so eagerly.

Three men. The armed one reeks blood, the one in white is gushing out paranoid twitches, and the third is engrossed in some... absurd act of patriotism involving the Soviets’ biggest fan. Typical.

Three women. Although the blonde appears young enough to make me doubt that number. These other two though, they both seem… vicious and experienced, yet different all the same.

Yes, this is definitely the place.

Charlie had been taking stock of her medical supplies when she had heard the soft scrape of a letter being pushed under her door. Naturally, considering her current status as MIA where her father was concerned, Charlie was on edge and grabbed the first sharp object in her vicinity, which just so happened to be a pair of scissors. Upon investigation she could find no other people on site and was content that she was safe, for now.

There was nothing spectacular about the letter, although she mused that was very much the point. VIPER wasn't meant to draw attention and she shouldn't be surprised that they could find her so easily but it did make her question whether it was time to move again. Charlie hadn't been in stable accommodation for some months now and most of the places she had stayed were old factories or abandoned buildings at best. At the moment she had gotten lucky and was hauled up in an abandoned set of flats. She'd come to really like her current set up and was upset at the prospect of having to leave again. There was no time on the letter, which Charlie assumed meant they wanted her at headquarters ASAP. So, slightly begrudgingly, Charlie went back to her room to retrieve her daggers and jacket before heading out the door.

It wasn't long before she reached headquarters and had made her way to the elevator. It wasn't her first time being here so she had no trouble managing the bland corridors and the many passcodes . However, what did seem strange to her was the increasingly loud voices as she made her way to the conference room. Apparently she was one of the last to arrive which put her at a slight disadvantage since the others had time to square each other up. No matter. Charlie would not show any signs of unease and nonchalantly opened the door and made her way to the closest chair before sitting down as gracefully as she could.

VIPER NY HEADQUARTERS

The Soviet Scorcher watched as some of the other summoned members of the team started to trickle in. He remained silent as he observed and recorded based on his observations what they must be based on various specifications of VIPER missions.

The first, he observed was military, not even just from appearance, but there was a way that those in the military held themselves while they walked, or stood, or even just observed their surroundings. There was something about his countenance. Something that also screamed, trigger happy with explosives. Most likely the Demolitionist for the team. Blowing stuff up was always in good fun. Unless of course it was him being blown up, that was not fun.

The next one in, seemed a bit squirrelly. He seemed a bit nervous. It was most likely is first time working with VIPER. But they only hired the best, so it should be fine. Based on his appearance, he would have to say, THIEF. He could be wrong, but it seemed appropriate.

The third one in, that was a look that he knew all too well. He was clearly a hacker based on his laid back appearance. And here he was being a loyal member of the Communist Party. "DA! For the Glory of The Soviet Empire! May She Rise Again to Power Supreme!!"
Soviet Scorcher embraced the hacker, unaware that it was an attempt to hack his systems to play the Star Spangled Banner.
Rage filled this machine. "HOW DARE YOU!!" He stood there with literal steam bursting out of the seams in his head. His internals shut down the hack quickly enough, but it was still the act itself that had him so enraged.
"Do Not Think I Will Forget This, Comrade."
SOVIET SCORCHER WILL REMEMBER THAT

He paid little attention to the others as they wandered in, merely keeping an eye on this hacker.

-------------------------------

As soon as Charlie had taken a seat, the door to the room opened and in stepped a man in a jet black suit that had a metal plate covering half his face. He walked over to the head of the table and sat down. "I am glad that you have all taken up VIPER on this opportunity. As long as this mission goes over well, there should be many more such opportunities within the future." He looked around the table at the menagerie of individuals. They would do nicely for this mission as long as they all could work together. The same as most other VIPER Ops.

He pushed a button on the table in front of him and the orb in the middle of the table began to glow, bringing up a 3-D map of a building. "Today's mission is going to be a heist. You are going to steal a top of the line SAM. That is a surface to air missile for those not in the military. The company of Turbulent Enterprises is going to be scheduling a test of their missile in 3 days. You lot, will sneak in, steal the plans for the missile, while uploading a virus that will rewrite its programing. This mission will require low casualties if possible with a bonus fee of $8000 each if you are capable of having no casualties whatsoever. Should you choose to accept this mission, the operation will begin in two days. Are there any questions so far?"

Talia looked a bit more relaxed as more people started to trickle in. So she wasn’t the last one. That was kind of a relief, if she was being honest. She noted their outfits, their stances, and urging that could give them away. She saw a few clues, but not much to go off of. They were all painfully quiet, except that robot. Hey, bring the Soviets back to power, sure. Long as she got paid she didn’t care.

As the man in the suit showed up, pressing the button that made the 3-D map appear, Talia smiled. A heist. The best type. She really wanted to ask what type of vehicle she would driving, but stayed silent for now. She figured all that would be explained as they continued. Wow, not even halfway through the day, and already doing something illegal!

VIPER HQ, New York
The next entry to the room was evidently their hacker. He headed straight to the giant hulking Soviet robot. And the proceeded to get it to play the Star Spangled Banner. The fury on the Soviet robot was hilarious, Lock rolled her eyes at their antics. Techies.

After that a blond woman in ripped jeans. She seemed far too happy for somebody who was no doubt a criminal of some kind. The next entrant had to be a sniper, hooded, masked and armed with guns. After that was another woman and another man, none of them having any super distinguishing features in Lock's mind.

The final person to enter the room was the boss, who launched into an explanation of what was being asked of them. A heist. Perfect, right up her alley. She examined the building projected in front of them, her grey eyes narrowing. Obviously she'd need more details before any plan could be formed.

Her voice was slightly accented with certain words being slightly clipped. "Just how much do we know about them? Is part of this opp intelligence gathering, or do VIPER already have all the data needed? Because if so, what kind of security do they possess? Is it all high tech, or is there the more traditional security there too? How many guards and what kind of training and weaponry can we expect to be up against? How much information do we have on where the SAM is stored. And are we to get in and out completly undetected or does it matter if we get seen or not?"

Charlie always thought of herself having a particular look but upon looking around the room she seemed to be quite ordinary. She always wore thigh high boots, leather shorts, a corset, a lace blouse and hooded velvet trench coat, all in black. As time had gone on, she’d started to wear more and more long sleeve items to hide the experiments her father had inflicted on her and while the boots did the same job covering up her legs, they also gave her a sense of empowerment. When she had lived with her father, most of his business acquaintances thought it odd how Charlie mixed both modern and past fashions together, often noting it was a touch off putting. And this was exactly what Charlie wanted, to be different and slightly distracting. These days it wasn’t so helpful to stand out in the crowd, but she couldn’t quite put the habit aside. Plus, now she was in the company of such a range of individuals, she would most certainly be the last to be noticed.

For starters there was a giant robot, continually hailing the old soviet empire, Others had artificial human augmentation, the jury was still out on whether that was purely to make them better humans or as a result of some accident, and some simply exuded a sense of otherness. They looked normal, bar a few changes in hair and eye colour, but they seemed completely different in the way they dressed and held themselves. They were trained and fearless in their craft.

Charlie tilted her head in the direction of the messenger and listened closely, nodding along to the questions the woman in the trench coat asked. She waited for the girl to finish before adding her own question in the soft hum that was her voice and smile that accompanied it. “I assume VIPER has everyone’s blood types? Just in case anything did go wrong…”

Shin's little prank seemed to irritate the odd man all in white, who proceeded to take off his sunglasses and make a pained remark in an incredibly British way. Shin grinned and immediately responded in an annoying fake Cockney accent.

"Jus' a spot o' fun, guv'nuh- don't get yeh knickers in a twist!"

A distraction then arrived in the form of a beautiful blonde. Shin's grin got even wider.

"Why yes I am," he stated in response to her observations. "Got anyone you'd like me to mess with? For a beauty like you, my services are free of charge," he added with a wink.

At that moment, another woman walked into the room. Grabbing two chairs and going immediately to the furthest corner, it was clear she was not there to make friends. She was followed by a gentleman with cybernetic enhancements as badass-looking as hers were, who placed himself immediately to the side of the door and surveyed the room. The superficial appearance was that of a gruff and impressive military commander surveying his team, but Shin knew better. He'd seen this guy at the coffee shop, struggling to strike up a conversation with Emma, and knew he was clearly just a big softie (although he could probably crush your skull with one hand). Shin was then distracted from his analysis by the arrival of the most gorgeous green-haired woman. As she walked in and sat herself gracefully down, his grin got so wide it was practically splitting his face in two.

"Charlie!" he exclaimed in delight, finally shutting off the music. "You're going to be on this team too?"

The robot then proceeded to threaten Shin and he rolled his eyes. Oh I definitely do think you will forget this, he thought, since I program you to every time.

The VIPER commander then walked in and explained the parameters of the mission. Shin frowned when he told them they would be stealing a missile. He was generally against widespread, unnecessary violence with civilian casualties (ie, war and terrorism), and this sounded suspiciously like they would be helping someone to create it. Although he did appreciate the 'no casualties' extra pay challenge.

After the woman in the trenchcoat was done asking her questions, he threw in a few of his own.

"So that first part was confusing. You said you wanted us to steal the missile, but then you said you wanted us to steal the plans and reprogram it, so which is it? Because if we have the missile ourselves, I don't see why we would need to also load it with a virus. Also, do you have any specs on the security system or the missile itself?"

VIPER HQ briefing room, New York

Trigger silently eyed everyone as they entered the room, but said nothing. He always operated on the assumption that everything was a trap. It was always easier. In the worst instance, you will be prepared, and if everything goes right, you will be pleasantly surprised. But when you work as a mercenary, you have to do what others tell you, or else you won't get paid. As the assignment was explained, Trigger wondered why did VIPER need the missle. If they just wanted to protect some blacksite, any black market SAM would do. Or even a set of MPADS. This could be a simple case of corporate espionage, but VIPER didn't seem like an organization that would do someone else's job. Trigger stopped himself from thinking up more theories and focused on the briefing. As two of his teammates asked for details, Trigger joined in, speaking for the first time since he entered the room.

-They are right. We can't work with this sort of information. Security measures, possible reinforcements, more details on the facility? If this is all you can provide us with, it will be hard to pull off.

Then, Trigger fell silent again. If this company was producing missles good enough for an organization as powerful as VIPER seemed to be to get interested in, they had to have some good security. There would certainly be at least some automated defenses, so packing EMP grenades wouldn't be a bad idea. Maybe even some anti-vehicle charges, there might be some armored vehicles on site. Landmines propably wouldn't be as useful, so most of those could be left behind. A few claymores will do, and freed up space could be filled with some airburst or thermobaric rounds. Since the facility will most likely be fortified, there will be some cover to clear. Breaching charges and some vaultcrackers will be a must for a retrieval job. Satisfied with his plans, Trigger holstered his PDW, for the first time since the meeting started, and went back to watching his teammates.

Laughing at the blond man’s reaction, she raised an eyebrow at the wink. “Well, then I’ll keep that in mind.” She said calmly. She knew she wasn’t a knockout, by any stretch, but she also knew that she was very pretty in her own right. People said her dark brown hair had been better than her current almost pure white hair, but she ignored that.

During all the questions, Talia resisted the temptation to roll her eyes. The man had said so far, meaning there was more that he was going to say. She guessed it was validated. It did sound like he was finished. She held her tongue, but nodded at a few of the questions. Why was VIPER interested in a little missile? And more importantly, what vehicle would she be driving? Especially with the Soviet in the group. She’d need a helicopter to get them all out at once. If she had a car she might need to make two trips, unless it was a massive van.

"Just a spot of fun, guv'nor. Don't get yeh knickers in a twist!", it made Jackson chuckle just a little bit, maybe it was the tension maybe it was just funny to hear the American talk. More and more people began to fill the room, he was a little nervous, it wasn’t normal for him to work in such a big group, what if somebody found out who he was.

The suited man came into the room, jackson was relieved, he had some stuff to do at home so it was calming to know that he would be outer of here soon. The man began to present, and jackson began to become irritated, with an exhausted sigh he said” whats the contract payment, whats the layout of the place, are we stealing it before or under the presentation, how will you count how many non-casualties we have?"

More people arrived.

Metal-head. His body being so heavily and visibly integrated with cybernetic armor made that seem appropriate.

‍Diva. The way she carried herself exuded unfounded confidence. Arrogance, in Six’s book.

The job guy. Finally, the meeting started.

Six listened intently. Behind her mask she frowned. Thievery was not her strong suit. But it did make sense that there would need to be someone there to watch everyone else's backs.

When everyone else finished their question, Six herself spoke up.

‘Stealing the plans. Not the existing rocket. And then fucking up the existing rocket. Also,’ She continued, ‘Severe stun doesn't count as a casualty, does it? Otherwise I wouldn’t even be here.’

VIPER NY HEADQUARTERS

The man in the suit listened and waited until each of them had expressed concerns or questions for the operations. This was part of why he stopped the presentation so far to ask if there were questions so far. It was part of what he was looking for, twofold. The first part was to check if the people that he brought in for the mission were actually listening to the operation as was being discussed so far as he did not want individuals to be participating if they were just going to ignore the briefings, than they were not VIPER material and would be excused immediately before any of the sensitive information was actually discussed. The second part was to see if they were able to think and process the data that was given before them, to test their thought processes. Further going into their files and testing for additional missions for each individual in the future.

"You are correct, Six. It is the plans that we are after and not the physical rocket itself. Stealing the plans and uploading a virus into the current prototype and the main computer system along with its backups so that the test is a failure. The only casualties that matter for this bonus are the deceased kind. Stunned opponents are perfectly acceptable."

He smiled at Lockwood, "We actually know a lot, Carnie." His robotic eye changed to purple and the image on the hologram changed again to show a more detailed outlook. "There are three possible entrances that you can gain access to the facility without raising an alarm. The roof access through which has state of the art hidden cameras, security lasers as well as 3 drones with 2 interceptors on standby. A neutron style multicode electric lock is all the will stand in your way to gain access after the security. The next entrance would be the loading dock which is patrolled by 5 guards, 2 dogs and 1 drone. A guard at the loading dock bay doors will check any and all legal entrance with employee cards. A handprint and eye scanner blocks the entrance. The last way in is the front door that would only be accessible during the day as during the night it is on full lockdown during the day with a heavy secure door that will protect against a missile attack as well as 2 automated turrets on standby should anything penetrate those defenses. During the day, the only way to get in would be with disguises and credentials pretending to be investors for various ongoing projects. The defenses there would be 6 guards, a metal detector and 2 guard dogs as well as the aforementioned auto turrets that can be activated in a moments notice.

The security systems are being run onsite by a white hat and an accompanying AI of middling quality. Their space is within the middle of the facility. Once inside, it is unknown how many cameras will be able to watch you, so be forewarned that you might get discovered if you are not careful. If at any point you are discovered however, there will be a 3 minute window before the mercenary reinforcements arrive. They will be outfitted with heavy military hardware as this facility takes its proprietary options very seriously."

He turns to Talia, "I'm sure that you are very eager to know what you will be operating on this mission, Gemini. And you shall be having this." HIs eye flashed red and on the hologram popped up what looked like a garbage truck but which unfolded in front of them to show all sorts of goodies. "The PX3480 may seem like an ordinary Garbage truck, but don't be fooled. With a flick of a button, it is capable of going 200 MPH, is hollowed out so that you can fit the entire team, even the Scorcher, has state of the art hacking and scrambling software and is fully capable of becoming a submersible should the need arise that you are required to use the water as a getaway avenue. VIPER spares no expense for its operatives, you should all due well to know this."

As long as this mission is a success, you shall all be gaining $200,000, plus the possibility of an additional $8000."

The suited man clasped his hands together, waiting for any further questions now that the mission has been fully explained.

Location: [Meeting room]
With: [The rest of the team]
Mood: [Excited]

The sniper asked for more details on the building's security, then holstered his weapon and went back to surveying the room. The beautiful blonde raised an eyebrow at Shin and said she would keep his offer in mind. She nodded a couple times as inquiries were voiced, but added no questions of her own. Surprisingly, the thief chuckled in reaction to Shin's accent. He had expected a stoic British reprimand, and was pleasantly surprised- perhaps the two of them could get along. He then released a sigh of frustration, echoing all of theirs at the inadequacy of the information, and threw in some questions as well. Then it was time for the group's resident badass to chime in. Unsurprisingly, she clarified things for the rest of them before continuing by asking for clarification on the only point of relevance to herself.

By then, it seemed all major issues had been addressed, and the speaker was able to respond. The more he heard, the more excited Shin got, as the man detailed the information and projected it before them as a hologram. 'Stealing the plans and uploading a virus into the current prototype and the main computer system along with its backups so that the test is a failure.' 'Roof access with state of the art hidden cameras, security lasers, 3 drones, with 2 interceptors on standby.' 'A neutron style multicode electric lock.' 'Employee cards.' 'A handprint and eye scanner.' 'Disguises and credentials pretending to be investors for various ongoing projects.' 'Auto turrets that can be activated in a moments notice.' 'Security systems run onsite by a white hat and an accompanying AI of middling quality in the middle of the facility.' 'Inside cameras.' '3 minute window.'

Shin catalogued and reviewed all the information inside his mind, already making note of the tech he would need, research he was going to have to do, anything that would have to be prepared in advance and brought with them on D-Day... He brought up his V-Board and began typing fast, talking as he worked.

"So, let me guess, the plans are stored on a closed system and there's no way for me to hack them out remotely, so I need to get inside the control booth to access it. Do we have any info on the security specs for their system? If not, are we doing any recon/intelligence runs for this, or planning as best as possible and then hoping to execute? Do we have a specific timeframe for completion? Any particular needs for the virus- do you want the thing to explode? Do you want it to wipe or contaminate their system? Any remote access at all to their security system, or will everything have to be done on-site? Do the drones run on a closed circuit as well? Any info on that lock? Credentials you can leave to me- shouldn't take long to research. Can I mess with the AI? What if I want-"

By that point his fingers were basically a blur on the V-board as various holographic images popped up all around him. He probably would have just kept going if no one decided to interrupt him.

OOC: Please someone interrupt him ;P

Talia grinned like a mad man at the hologram, and nodded. If she was being completely honest with herself, she would have much rather had something fancy and shiny car. But the sound of going 200 MPH was exciting. She drummed her fingers on the table, and listened as the rest of the mission was explained.

As the blond guy next to her started prattling off questions, Talia smirked and rolled her eyes in a playful manner. She listened respectfully as he spoke, and hummed in respect. He asked good questions, and his calculations of how and where he needed to do his job seems right. She only spoke up when he took a pause, she raised her hand, and smiled brightly.

“Yeah, I have a question. Can we hit up the Starbucks on our way there? This sounds like a long mission and I might need some coffee.” She said, though her smile showed she was fully kidding. She then turned to the others, and watched their reactions. She would hate to have some super boring couldn’t take a joke person on her team, though she knew there was always at least one. She didn’t think the blonde boy she was sitting next to was one of those types though, or the Brit who had spoken up. The Soviet might be..... but who knew.

Lockwood
VIPER HQ, New York
Lockwood wasn't alone in voicing her complaints about the lack of information they were graced with. She was glad to see that her other team members were asking the right questions and weren't completly clueless. They seemed to be workable with. They also had an interesting choice of codenames between them. Six for the sniper, and Gemini for the other woman. No doubt these names had hidden significance to their owners, as Carnie did to her, but as of this moment, she couldn't see what they could be.

The boss man responded with reams of information about the security. VIPER had clearly done their homework. Lockwood took it all in, her eyebrows crinkling together in thought. She bent forwards to the examine the hologram, barely registering the boss man's remark about a dumptruck that could go at 200MPH spiel. It wouldn't be easy at all, but if was, she wouldn't have been hired in the first place. All methods had their charms and their downfalls. The whole building was an enigma.

The techie launched a barrage of questions, as well updating the hologram if the building to include all the security features. As she thought, her twelve fingers gently tapped in sequence on the table. She looked up from her examination, adding her questions to the list proposed by the techie "The building itself, air duct size and sewer size? Metal detector and scanners, can ceramic or carbon fibre weapons be smuggled past them? Where exactly are these outside mercenaries located? Is there any way to sabotage or delay them thus giving a greater escape window? As of now, is there any current strategy on how to enter the building, or is it up to us to come up with one?"And with a glance at the woman who had made the Starbucks wise crack she added " Yes to caffeine, no to Starbucks" Lock may be a criminal, but she had standards, which included not going to Starbucks.

Trigger listened closely to the new information. While the security measures around the entrances didn't concern him much, he could make his own door if he needed one, he still needed to know what he would be facing if things went south. By the sound of things if everything went alright, Trigger would just have to wait for the spies and thieves to do the mission. While letting others do the work wasn't such a bad thing, losing a chance to blow up a heavily secured facility was rather disappointing. Still, even though the rest of the team seemed to know what they were doing, getting prepared to blow things up if things went poorly was not a bad idea.

Six

More extensive detail was provided about the building itself and the tools at their disposal. As usual, VIPER did not disappoint. In fact, Six found herself more impressed than usual.

Almost all of her jobs were solo operations. She didn’t need fancy vehicles or extra equipment. Her cloak and weapons were always enough. She never had to have more than a time a place and a target, really, so Six wasn’t used to such extensive accommodations. Even on a group mission and all, she didn’t need them.

‘I’ll skip the road trip. I’ll need time to find a spot, and that spot depends on where and how you guys want to breach. If I can find a good enough place I can clear guards and drones outside in advance. A minute or two before you get there.’ Early enough to be convenient, but not too late to cause any premature concern. ‘So you guys make your plan, then I’ll make mine.’

She wasn’t the best ‘team player,’ but that aside, she could still work with a group, so long as she wasn’t really ‘with’ them. On a related note, Six always opted to be ‘early’ for a mission by at least a couple of hours. Scouting out operations, whether they be solo or for an ensemble, required delicate attention to detail. The kind only time could provide. It also provided an excuse to avoid a cramped and uncomfortable car ride with everyone else.
