Rain Fanatic
I think I'm pretty chill...
I have loved theatre, movies and acting for as long as I can remember and recently I've come up with this fun little idea. Here it is:
The cast of a popular teen drama has become comfortably numb over the course of three successful seasons. Most of them choose to ignore the shockingly poor quality of the show's writing because it provides them with money and fame. Almost everyone involved in the production knows well that the show is awful but they don't care enough to try and change that. After all, it reliably draws in a lot of viewers and what more do you need? Things change, however, when the main showrunner gets fired. In his place comes a new one and he/she has infinitely bigger ambitions: they want to improve the show so that it's actually smart, insightful and funny. The cast however, is not on board: they don't want to step out of their comfort zones or be challenged by more mature writing. Thus, the showrunner will have to convince them to take full advantage of their talents as well as handle the network executives who worry that those changes might hurt the show's popularity. I want to focus mainly on the cast (and the showrunner, obviously). As the story progresses, I'd love to have other subplots. I think the setting creates many interesting opportunities.
Here's a few quick details about me:
- I enjoy multi-character narratives: I like to work with many different characters at once. Also, not really into fandom. I like to create my own characters; it's more fulfilling for me.
- I'm all about character development as well as conflict (because good stories require conflict).
- I'm looking for a partner who likes to write longer paragraphs and pays attention to proper spelling and grammar (I'm not a native speaker so some mistakes are bound to slip in but I promise to do my best!)
- Finally, I hope to find someone who's passionate about storytelling and loves to create just as much as me!
If you're interested or simply want to find out more feel free to hit me up!
