Banned?

Hi! I have a really quick question because what just happened scared me so much.


So I turned off my laptop because I had to do something real quick. A few minutes later, I came back on the site and a message that said


"Banned


You do not have permission to view this site"


Or something like that. I was so nervous that I got my tablet and it said the same exact thing. Did I do something wrong or did this happen to others, too?

It's happened to at least one other (undeserving) person that I know of.  Don't be scared!  You aren't in trouble.  This seems to be our latest glitch. :/


@The Dark Wizard  Did something go wrong with the error codes that usually display when the site's unavailable?

For everyone's future reference, you will know if you are banned.  The staff team is not afraid to tell you when you've done something wrong.  If the situation arises, you will be notified through a warning message that your account has been suspended.  Bans are not surprises.

Honestly, I'm not sure. Its not the first report we've gotten of this over the past few days.

@Panic At The Fandoms This actually happened to me earlier today when I tried to log in. I simply cleared my cache and restarted my computer - it fixed the issue. Not before the momentary heart attack I had though.

Okay, that's what I did. Again, this makes me feel much better knowing that it isn't just me

I sent in a support ticket with IPS, the creators of our community software to see if they can see whats up.

@The Dark Wizard I'm so sorry, Dwiz, I didn't even think to screenshot it when it happened. I've had similar issues on other forums, and I just assumed it was a Chrome issue. I've noticed Chrome has issues translating SQL and Oracle at times, and usually clearing the cache fixes the problem. I'll screen shot it and send it to you if it happens again.
