For the rest of the travel on Gullinberst Demeter spent most of her time helping the ship's crew with operating the large vessel, fixing the holes in the ship where they remained and performing the duties concerning the sails. When not working on the deck or arm wrestling with one of the crewmates the Sentinel gladly served as a practice partner in the training area, taking notes on the spot and giving useful advices while sparring.
Demeter didn't have a very developed eyesight, her range being more narrow than a mortal's, but the faraway sound of waves clashing against yet not visible rocks made the earth wielder's heart leap. The woman jumped up on the wooden railing and reached out her hand to touch the rock wall they passed by, once they entered trough the narrow passage, feeling much more calm after days of being surrounded by a large body of water. It felt... comforting. She hurried to leave the ship as quickly as possible, running trough the Gullinberst trough and trough to greet the dedicated men she had the honor of working with and learning from. Once she didn't left a single stone unturned, Demeter jumped on the bridge and waved at the ship, before jumping on the summit of the rock wall, observing the surroundings around herself. A gasp escaped her lungs.
The city was at the verge of the small lagoon with crystal clear and azure water, and the natural rock walls protected the little piece of haven from the raging sea and monsters within the depths. The deserts stretched out way above the horizon, and the wind now filled with sand did nothing to prevent the Sentinel's amber hair from curling up even further under the particles of seawater in the air. It was a sight that just having a moment spent on observing wouldn't do it the justice, but the sudden hunch had the earth wielder drawing her attention completely elsewhere, to the sudden flash and then burning of a large fire that already engulfed couple of buildings in the sand veiled city. Demeter walked over to the edge of the wall, pebbles falling down in the water as her boot made contact with the loose ground just about to succumb down. She swayed back a bit before jumping from the edge once she swayed back forward, descending in the direction of the city. The same moment her metal boot made contact with the ground she rolled forward to lessen the impact, following that fluid motion and getting back up on her feet again. The Sentinel felt the surge of fire energy coming right towards one of the buildings, threatening to wipe it to its foundations along with anyone in it. She ran in with her eyes clothes, instinctively running up the stone stairs and grabbing the old woman there before jumping trough the window, moments before the stone house was engulfed in flames. Demeter covered the woman with her body as much as she could as she broke the mural window, protecting the elder from any shards and falling trough an another window, landing into a house right next to the just incinerated one. Demeter kept running, her metal armor making clinking sounds while she moved, feeling immense heat right behind herself that made her slam the wooden door from their hinges with her shoulder, running out and getting the elderly woman left behind away from danger. She couldn't understand the words that the woman said while she carried her away from the grounds of the battle, but the gratitude in her voice spoke enough to the Sentinel. Demeter left her next to a smaller fountain with drinkable water, giving her a warm smile before turning around and running into the direction of the raging fight. She maneuvered with ease, following the overwhelming feeling of a creature much stronger than herself and heading right to it head on. Demeter also sensed immortals present there, fully believing that their and her efforts together could bring the destruction to an abrupt stop.
