As I said to another member in this very same thread, I speak from a position of never being in the danger zone of something like this. I also come from not really knowing too many people on this site yet. But I wish you and your family the best dude. I hope you'll pull through this and come out okay! : )

I hope this doesn't come off as too political but I found this video very inspiring. To see this country's past leaders, whatever your opinion may be on them(I was only around for Dubya and Bush and now the orange cheeto we got in office) I'm glad they came together to make this.

It is amazing to see all the back up plans you guys have, another reason why I love this site. Everyone be careful ok?
 
This is a really weird time to mention this but there is a path that it can take that I could get hit by a (barely) category 1 hurricane.
Scary because we don't have any sort of measures against hurricanes, but weird because the state has at least one state between it and the ocean in every direction. I think the path predict it pretty much ends up becoming a tropical storm right overhead.
And my dad's gonna be heading down to shoot hurricane footage for our news station so rip. And also rip because the station sent him to a part of North Carolina that will be, at best, grazed by the edge of the hurricane.
 
Thank you for the heads-up! But most importantly - Stay safe, people of RPNation! You all will be in my thoughts. Let's fight through this hurricane together!

Please please please stay safe if you are in Florida. Your life is more important that posting and I hope everyone in the storms path can get out safely. Texas I hope you can recover from Harvey and I know that there is so much love and help pouring into the lone Star state right now. Please stay safe y'all. Minnesota prays for you.

As for staying safe, that is what you do if you live in Florida. At least it's not like the West Coast where the earthquakes offer no warning at all. We are prepared, even comfortable, as folks who live with this kind of stuff can be. In the meantime, what else is there to do when you have prepared for it all? Well, how about sit back and RP as long as the Internet holds up? Wheee! =)
