First Day at the new School

​

Today was the first day at a new school for Selena. Because she was pregnant, her Mother had decided to transfer her from her old school over to Westport High so that she could still have a chance to get her Diploma and perhaps even get into College despite being a very young mother. What Selena was thankful for was her Mother being very supportive throughout the pregnancy, giving her medical advice, caring for her and even encouraging her to keep the baby.


Upon arriving at her new School, with her Mom driving her on the first day, Selena was surprised to see the amount of pregnant teens, and even teen moms. The School had a Daycare center, where the babies are taken care of while the Moms study and focus on their academics. A Medical Center too? Wow, this school really cared about the girls that attended, she thought. The first thing Selena did was go to pick up her schedule.

Brogan was running around looking for the matching sock for Brantley that she just had. Brantley was sitting on the couch banging on her phone. "Finally" She exclaimed as she found the sock on the stairs. She ran over and placed it on his foot along with his shoe. Beep Beep! She looked at the window as the bus pulled up "Come on baby you ready to go to school?" she smiled as she scooped up Brantley and then her back pack before running out the door yelling bye to her mom. She walked to the bus in a hurry with the squirming child. Walking on the bus she smiled "Hello Linda". She made her way to the seat and buckled Brantley in before finally taking a deep breath.


It was her first day back to school, but she had been there since she was pregnant. She was ready to get back. Since she had Brantley 10 months ago, her life revolved around him. She made the choice to go to this school herself as she didn't want to leave Brantley for long and this way she could do things and take care of him on her own. Her parents were very supportive but she had always been sat on doing things on her own. She would occasionally ask for help but only when she absolutely needed it. They finally pulled up to the school. With one last wave to the bus driver she made her way inside. straight to the day care room. She loved getting there a bit early to play with Brantley some before class.

Piper had been up for who knows how long. Between the stress of staring a new school that she barely knows about and getting little to no sleep from Ashton's crying throughout the past few nights, one could say she would pass as a zombie extra in The Walking Dead. She had come home from the hospital only two weeks prior to the news that her sister had pulled her from Lakeview High and transferred her to another school across town. She wasn't sure as to why she did that, but she surely wasn't complaining about it. If it meant that she didn't have to be anywhere near him.


Honestly, she didn't know which was worse: the fact that Ashton would wake the new mom up every other hour to be fed, changed or rocked or the fact that her sister wasn't around that often to help her. Two hours prior to being put to sleep, the new mother was forced to wake up and get ready for her first day of school. Thankfully, her sister had already prepared the both of them smoothies and Ashton's diaper bag was already packed. The young mother was very grateful for a hot shower and a cereal bar, as she was almost late for catching the bus.

"I've had enough of this!?" "I'm Leaving!!" These were the words that haunted Ruzu... that day she'd run away... if only she hadn't... then this would never have happened. She sighed, never in her life... had she planned to be a mum, but everyday when she woke up the bump on her stomach reminded her, never the less she got up and combed her messy, bright red hair with her fingers briefly before shrugging and taking a shower, afterwards getting dressed and tucking a few stray strands of hair behind her ear, smiling at herself and nodding.

She headed downstairs soon after, hand on the doorhandles as she slowly opened it, the two lines of men on each side bowing to her "Good Morning Lady Ruzu." they all said, some off time, she smiled at them, grabbing her bag and leaving, the scruffy bunch of men staring pathetically after her "Ever since miss Ruzu got knocked up she's been completely ignoring us..." one muttered, Ruzu rolled her eyes as she got on the bus, as she did people would shy away, she sat at the very back, staring out the window.

As she arrived at school she got off slowly, wearing her usual geeky-top and pants, bag slung over her shoulder "First day here. Already people are misjudging how pregnant I am because of you two." she muttered, poking her stomach once weakly as she entered the building to grab her schedule, she'd been booked into the school since she found out but didn't start attending till just now. She spotted another girl grabbing her schedule as she entered, Ruzu blushed, despite people fearing her and shying away, ever since this whole 'pregnancy' thing happened her personality had become quite timid.​

Katie let out a groan when she felt the edge of her bed dip. She buried her face into her pillows and dragged the blanket up so that it was covering her head.


Her blatant protest of getting up was soon diminished when she heard her sons giggle. "Mommy, you gots to get up. It time fo s-s... School." He finally managed to get out, laughing, before jumping onto his sleeping mother.


Katie laughed along with him and quickly turned her body so that she could wrap Christian up in a surprise hug. She heard him squeal and she began to tickle him mercilessly.


Christian laughed loudl and began to try and wiggle free. "M-mommy! Stop!" He laughed.


Katie smiled and finally stopped before giving him a loving kiss on the forehead. "Are you ready for daycare?" She asked and watched as he nodded his head enthusiastically. "Almost baby. Come on. I have to get ready and then I have to get you ready." She said and gently poked his stomach.


Christian smiled and nodded his head, carefully climbing off his mommy' bed and running into his room.


Katie got up and began to rummage through her closet. She finally picked out a grey flannel and some skinny jeans as well as some black converse.


When she had showers and threw her hair up into a ponytail she went to her sons room to help him get ready.


For him they chose a cute polo shirt, some khaki shorts, and spearies.


They quickly ate breakfast and then they were out the door. Katie helped Christian into his booster seat in the back of her car and buckled him in before climbing into the drivers seat. Her friends parents had bought her this car after she had become emancipated and she was very grateful.


She backed out of her driveway and drove to her new school.


Moments later she pulled into the school parking lot and found the closest parking spot that she could. She shut off her car before climbing out and opening the back door to help Christian out.


"Come on bud. First day at a new school. We got this." She grinned when he lifted his arms, silently asking her to pick him up. She agrees to the silent request and lifts him up, resting him on her right hip. She walked into the school and immediately saw the daycare.


"Look bud. That's where you'll be going. We just have to pick up my schedule first, okay?"


"Okay mommy." He responded, clinging tightly to his mother.


Katie walked to what she assumed was the office and began to look around for someone that could help her.

Ruzu Stiffened slightly as another person entered the office, desperately trying to shuffle into a corner away from them, although saying it was 'hard' to hide in an incredibly small office whilst you have bright red hair and a fairly obvious baby bump was an understatement. Though quickly she picked up the fact that the woman looked a little lost to say the least, Ruzu would have stepped in but the child was something she didn't want to handle, she was terrible with kids, she didn't hurt them or anything, simply her personality just didn't work well with them.

Ruzu eventually took a deep breath and walked over slowly "A-are you... here to pick up a schedule too?..." she asked shyly, blushing slightly, she was hoping against it but the girl would probably over-estimate how far into her pregnancy she was like everyone else, having twins did that to you.​

Brogan was used to the school already and she got her schedule when she registered Brantley in daycare this year. She walked into the warm little center and was quickly greeted by the workers "Hello" she said brightly as Brantley smiled and squirmed. She walked over and removed removed the diapers and everything from the diaper bag and placed them in the cabinet labeled with Brantleys name, then proceed to put his can of formula on the counter with his extra bottles and baby food and cereal she brought. Finally she put his pre-made bottles and yogurt in the fridge. She walked over and placed Brantley on the floor and began playing with him and some of the blocks. All the while she was taking note of the new names in the nursery, as the older kids graduated more came and that meant new girls and new babies. She smiled at Brantley "your gonna have some new friends" Brantley cooed and smiled not knowing what his mother was exactly saying. She smiled "are you gonna say mamma today?" she leaned down kissing him. He had only said it a few times as he was just learning to talk he could say small thinks like ma-ma, and no. And sure enough he looks up and repeats "Ma-Ma". Brogan smiled and clapped "yay" She picked him up and smothered him with kisses causing him to squeal with laughter and squirm to get free. She put him back down this time holding his hands so he could stand. he could pull himself up and stand with help but hasn't taken his first step yet. She playful walked around with him holding his hands and laughing before laying him on the ground and kissing on him as he laughed ans cooed.

Katie turned her head as best as she could with Christian clinging to her neck and she smiled brightly. "Yes I am." She said cheerfully. "I think that I found the schedules too." She stated when she looked at a table that had papers scattered along it. She walked over to it and began sifting through the papers, quickly finding her name. "What's your name?" She asked the other girl, trying to get to know her better.

Ruzu nodded at the girls comments, smiling a bit before her name go brought up 'she doesn't know gangs right?.. I mean, she's a mum. mums wouldn't know my name...' she thought blankly before shrugging "You can just call me Ruzu, spare the formalities." she said giggling to herself slightly and subconsciously placing a hand on her stomach before picking up her schedule.

Hannah was walking over, feeling exceptionally nervous.She was wearing a black cardigan, shirt, and pants, all which went slightly over the baby bump that would be her son. She rubbed the bump soothingly, trying to attract as little attention as possible as she went to retrieve her schedule. She had already received enough publicity in a report during the summer of a soldier found dead. She looked for her name. Hannah Godfrey....Hannah Godfrey...where is it?

Ruzu glanced over as someone else came into the office "...hi?..." she said shyly, still blushing slightly, her red hair still standing out amongst everything else in her room, her hand still subconsciously on her stomach without her realising it, the obvious baby bump easy too see, though she was only four-ish months pregnant she looked as though she were more around a little over six, something that happens with twins.

Piper was reluctant to drop off Ashton at daycare, considering that he wasn't even a month old yet, but she complied in the end. Once the bus came to a complete stop, the raven haired teen walked off, bags and baby in arm, and headed towards the front office. She was not sure how big the school was, but anxiety had quickly set into the small girl. Piper was a bit surprised at the fact that not only where there other mothers like here, but there were also teen girls who hadn't even had their babies yet. Despite the fact, she still could not relax.


She came to a stop when she got to the front office. On the counter were a few thick stacks of paper, holding the students' schedules. Piper placed the carrier down and sifted through the 11th grade stack to find her name. Once she found her schedule, and groaned at the fact that she still had Pre-Calculus, she quickly walked out of the office and headed off in the hallways. She wasn't exactly sure as to where to go to drop off Ashton for the day, and her anxiety slowly grew at the whispers behind her. She began to walk off in a random direction, hoping that she would be able to find the daycare center.

Hannah waved, smiling a little. There was a few more girls, most of them also being pregnant. She felt a little more comfortable around other young mothers. She was eight months pregnant with her child, so she was constantly on edge, worrying about going into labor. She knew that it was a boy, so she was always knitting little hats and clothing. She even knew what his name was going to be; Lawrence, after his father.

Ruzu smiled to herself 'successfully had social interaction without totally weirding them out!~' she though to herself, doing a discreet fist pump "I'm Ruzu." she eventually got out after some hesitation towards speaking, still being overly-shy as she shuffled awkwardly on the spot, rubbing her stomach gently.

"My name is Hannah," Hannah said. The girl talking to her had red hair, too, though perhaps a much darker red. She looked nice enough; Hannah felt Lawrence kick her—hard. Hannah clutched her stomach, chuckling. "He's a fighter," she muttered.

"Yeah, I'm here to pick up my schedule too." Selena replied to the other girl's question ((@TheHappyPikachu )). Even though School was just beginning, Selena was very anxious on how her first day at this school was going to turn out. No Boys, just girls, some of whom were also pregnant, others who already have kids but are choosing to continue their education. She was also hoping to make some good memories here like she did at her old school. Most of the kids that she saw were very cute. Regardless of age, bringing life into the world was still a beautiful thing. However, she wasn't exactly in the mood to be social right now, so as soon as she got her class schedule, she left the office to go to her first class, since that was the one of the few things she was looking forward to. Perhaps she can make some new friends at Lunch. Since she was seven and a half months pregnant, it didn't feel very awkward being around other pregnant girls anymore. Upon arriving into her first class of the day, she sat down at an empty desk and waited patiently for the day to start, even though it was very early.

Ruzu nodded to both girls before turning her attention back to Hannah and giggling a bit "Yeah, well I've got two little people to kick me, though they've just started." she said smiling.

Brogan smiled and played with Brantley as he giggled and crawled around. She had a blast crawling around with him and hearing him laugh and coo. She was glad she decided to come here knowing she could visit him every chance she got, and he was close in case something happened. Before long she found herself looking at the clock, it was still to early to go to class. Then it hit her, she forgot she had to turn in his updated shot records. She scooped him up with a laugh and bopped him on the nose with her finger, causing him to go cross eyed for a minute and giggle. She looked walked over to the daycare teacher and asked if she turned the paper work in here or the office. The lady was sweet and offered to take it for her to the office, but Brogan declined and insisted she take Brantley and go so she could have just a little longer with him The teacher agreed smiling and off they went. She walked down the hall way bouncing Brantley on her hip as he laughed and spun him around despite all the looks she was getting. Some were sweet and others a bit funny, but hey she was a mom, they should understand this by now that you gotta be silly and if not they would learn soon. She finally made it to the office. She walked in an noticed a good bit of people there. "Hello" She said politely as she smiled and made her way to the front desk quickly handing off the paper and giving her name and Brantleys before turning around to the girls once more while smiling Brantley softly cooed and swung his arms.

Ru turned around 'How many people are gonna come in here?!' she thought sarcastically, awkwardly laughing before giving her a small wave, a cheerful and kinda childish smile on her face, she noticed another kid though 'surrounded.' she thought pathetically, but not showing it on her face.
