Charisse Bennigens
Finally, it was almost time for the first party of B.A.S.H, and Charisse couldn't wait. She had set it all up perfectly. Her parents were out of town, as per the usual, and she had hired a party service to do all the hard work, and had more or less turned her home into a mini rave. When she turned the lights off the room transformed into a blur of moving, flashing colors, and loud music. She had set up a punch bowl which had been perfectly spiked so it barely tasted like there was any alcohol in it, but for those who wanted to go a bit more hard core she did have vodka out on the bar. There was plenty of snacks to go around, the typical chips and dip type stuff but she also had plenty of pizza rolls to go around, which was her favorite high food. Did she mention she had weed? Cause she had bought plenty of weed to go around, which was probably her biggest expense for the whole night. She didn't do other drugs, though, but she wouldn't be surprised if they turned up. It wouldn't have been the first time.

It was 9 o'clock, just when she had set the party to start and she was putting the final touches on everything, turning out the lights and making sure the music was cranked up. She did hope that some of the older kids got here first, though. Peer pressure worked a lot better when there was more than one of you to do the peer pressuring. She was excited to see the looks on the newbies faces when they walked in, though, they were still under the impression that this was a study session. The thought made Charisse giggle to herself. Boy, they were in for a surprise.

Expecting not to see anyone for at least a few more minutes, Charisse went over to the bar and took a shot. Pregaming was key to things like this, but of course she couldn't have told that to the new kids. Oh, well. They'll figure it out eventually. She filled her cup up with the spiked punch and added a bit more vodka for herself. She was trying to get fucked up tonight, that was for sure.

((sorry, this isn't my best starter post D:))

Melissa sighed, casting a backwards glance towards the sleeping figure of her mom on the couch. The room was dark save for the blue screen on the TV, a sign that the cable box had shut off some time ago. Lissa considered shutting the whole box off, but if her mom woke up in the dark she might hurt herself, and the pink haired girl didn't want that. Her eyes shifted towards the half empty wine glass on the table and bit back another sigh, shaking her head. Turning away from the sad scene, she used her moms keys to lock the door of the apartment behind her, heading out into the warm night air to locate her mom's corolla.

It was easy to locate the blue car, parked in it's assigned spot. The apartment was supposed to be short term until they got settled, but Lissa didn't really care where they lived as long as they were together. The divorce had been hard on both of them, but her mom was still taking it very hard. Lissa could see that the woman was shutting down, but she didn't press her because she didn't want the woman to break. Lissa didn't miss the sadness in her eyes though whenever her dad's face flashed on her screen.

Climbing into the older car, she tossed her bookbag into the passenger seat and started the engine, looking both ways before backing out of the spot. Thankfully she did have a license; one good thing about her old state. The drive to the house took a good thirty minutes or so, and she pulled up, staring in awe at the large building. Unsure where to park, she just picked a spot on the street and shut the car off, grabbing her bookbag and making sure to lock the car before walking up the drive to the front door. It looked like there might be some other people there already too, but she wasn't sure. Either way, she wasn't going to just walk in, so she teetered back and forth on her heels, biting her lip somewhat nervously.

Chance Crnich.jpgChance checked his phone, the light flashing on his face for a millisecond. Almost time to go, hopefully Mom's alright with me going to this study group this time... He sat up from the couch, gathering his things into his messenger bag. He grabbed his hat and stepped to the door, writing a note on a sticky note and pasted it on the door. "I'll be back mom... Don't kill me." He hopped into his Mustang, an imported one from America, but now he's actually in America, so would this look normal? Worry struck his thoughts. Ever since what happened a few months ago... Scared him. He hated loud noises, and now. Trusting people is going to be a big issue. He pulled into the driveway, seeing another car already parked. Good. He thought some people are already here, glad the turn up is better then me and whoever is hosting this. He walked up to the front door, feeling awkward as he entered without permission, maybe this wasn't the right house. Paranoia set is as he walked inside, his hand slowly dragging to his back pocket of his tight pants. He saw a pink haired girl standing next to him. "A-Are you here for the study hall eh?" He said in his Canadian slang, trying to make conversation. He heard music flow through the walls, it was quite loud. He pulled out some earplugs, looking at them. I'd look really stupid with these in, it's probably just music for chores or something. I'll just throw then away in the garbage. He tensed up, The first American he's met, well, other then the grocery store bagger, was at a study hall. He fixed up his hat and shoved his hands in the pockets of his jeans.

Chris flinched, looking up and down frantically before finding that everything was indeed intact. Before him was a towering structure made of hundreds of cards situated primly upon his desk. At the base was a formation of cards built with perfect triangles; each card's face featuring a thin film of dust, giving away the work's age. For two months, Chris' room was mainly uninhabited. His chair was pushed back to the end of the room and its friends, his book shelf, rack, and other items, stood messily with it. His floor was bare and if he didn't live here himself, he would think that a tornado had pushed back the contents of his rooms in reckless abandon.

But he did live in this room. Although, it had been two months since he had properly slept in its bed, which was also pushed back to touch his green walls. Chris allowed himself a breath, his fingers letting go of the card in his hand with dexterity. To his relief, the card settled into place. The knocking at his door started again and with a groan, Chris inched towards it.

Chris thought about staying to get a couple more cards in, but the pounding grew louder.

"What?" he snapped. He pulled the door open to reveal a young girl who couldn't be more than ten years old. Anna.

"You told me to remind you that you" Finger quotes were thrown into the air. "Had somewhere to be about now." Chris' sister had her arms folded against her chest. Her cheeks puffed with a tint of pink and her dark brown hair sat gently on her shoulder. He quirked a brow.

"Thanks, An." Chris forgot about the party entirely, the one that was only introduced as whispers to all the upperclassmen in his school. And as he was one of those upperclassmen, Chris felt an obligation to participate. And yet, he was too absorbed in his architecture to notice the time.

Right. He shut the door behind him and ruffled Anna's hair. She gave him a pout before harrumphing off to whatever she was doing. These days, she seemed to be stuck to her easel and paints more and more. Within a few minutes, Chris was on his way to the party house. He had gone through these roads more often than not on his way to events and other...gatherings. He shook his head, a grin spreading across his face. This year, he would have the time of his life.

He pulled up into the lot and parked casually, tossing his keys into his pocket. Checking the time, Chris realized he was earlier than he intended to be. Guess we're throwing 'fashionably late' out of the window. It didn't matter too much. After all, Chris wasn't a stranger to this scene and he intended to have a lot of fun tonight. Wild, that's what it would be.

He spotted an awkward male in the front hallway as he entered. Interesting. With his nervous stature and the way he stammered, Chris knew this had to be a newcomer. "Here for the study group, are you?" Chris stuck out his hand and flashed a devilish smile. "I'm Chris and you are..?"

"Chance..." He said, holding out his hand to be shaken. "Beautiful house, isn't it eh?" He tried his hardest to not sound weird or such. "I am a transfer student f-from Canada..." He tensed up at the word of his old country. "Just wanting to learn a few about the people and how things work before I start school.

Her mom stood by the door outside of their house, worried about her daughter. 'Honey, Are sure your going to be okay? Maybe I can just tutor you instead." Her mom tried to convince her. Ember looked at her mom reassuredly to her mother. "Fine, just remember don't listen to peer pressure and call me when you get there." Her mom said to her daughter. Soon enough she was at the house, pulling up. She started parking the car. "Yes mom, it's just a study session. I will be fine okay." She try to reassure her mom on the phone. She got out of her mom's honda accord with her books, locking the doors of the car. She wasn't really dressed up, she was wearing a black tee and some jeans. She started walking up towards the house. She was nervous, she doesn't really socialize with her peers. She knocked on the door and waited for someone to answer.

Charisse jumped at the sound of thumping on her door, barely heard over the music. Had she not been alone she probably wouldn't have noticed in the first place, but since she was waiting for the others she knew what to listen for. She took a long swig of her drink as she walked to the door, making one last 360 to make sure everything was perfect. Everything seemed to be in place, so she opened the door in a big, grand gesture. "Welcome!" she said enthusiastically, surprised at the fact that there was not one, but four people at the door. She knew Chris, he was a senior. The rest were newbies, though, and they looked it.

"C'mon in!" she said, waving them in. "There is punch and snacks over there," she said, leaving out the fact that the punch was spiked. "Oh, and you can set your stuff down here," she said, grabbing a book bag from the girl with pink hair. She set it down next to the jacket closet,
out of the way. "I love your hair by the way, looks gorgeous!" she enthused. "Please, converse among yourselves. I'll wait a little longer to see if anyone else arrives!" she announced to the group. She was very thankful Chris was there, as he would definitely lighten up some of the starting awkwardness there was bound to be. "Punch is spiked, by the way," she said to him, leaning into his ear so none of the others heard. "If you want something more its on the counter."

Ennis ducked into the night, a swift relief filling him as the back door closed behind him without a squeak. His mother’s need to have all the lights in the house on after dark helped to illuminate his way to the garage. Of course, if she was aware of how her quirk was helping him sneak out, she would probably order all the neighbors to dim their lights too. What was it about kids sneaking out that made parents go berserk?
These were just stray thoughts in Ennis’ head: he hardly had the time to ponder the endless mysteries of parenting right now. He threw the garage door open and rushed to get in his car, start it up, and put his house in the rear view mirror.
This would be his first time going to a meeting for the B.A.S.H club. One didn’t reach Junior year without hearing a few rumors about what the club actually did, but he honestly didn’t care which rumors were true. Maybe he was going to a study group that would help get his grades up and make his parents a little less unhappy with him. Or, tonight could be the best freakin’ party he had ever been to. He hummed softly and turned the music up over the roar of the engine. Truth be told, he was really starting to hope that he was arriving to an outrageous party.
Ennis pulled up to the house and suddenly a thread of anxiety wove through him. He was totally out of his league. He wasn’t the nerdy type that liked spending extra time studying outside of school and he also wasn’t the sort to stay up all night getting shitfaced drunk. He shook his head and cursed before shutting off his car and getting out, locking it behind him. It looked like a long way to up the driveway. But he was probably just being over-dramatic, overthinking it. He went up to the door, paused a moment, then reached for the handle. It was unlocked so he let himself in and found himself in the middle of a small crowd. He felt like he had just missed something, but he flashed a smile to anyone he made eye contact with and closed the door gently behind him.

Lissa wasn't by herself for very long; a guy with an accent came up the walk, and she thought he might be a little nervous. She cast him what she hoped was a reassuring smile, although she was nervous as well. "Ah, yeah. I sure am." She told him, just as another guy slid into the picture. He introduced himself as Chris, but before Lissa could say anything back to him, the door flung open and Lissa and the others came face to face with Charisse. Since Lissa was new, she didn't know alot of people, but she had heard of Charisse. Flushing a little bit, she slipped into the house and gazed around the large entryway, eyes wide.

Charisse took Lissa's bookbag and set it over by the door, and despite herself and her nervousness, a grin broke out at her compliment. "Thanks-- you'd look really good with pink hair too, I can tell." Wondering where the hell that had come from, Lissa stepped further into the home, realizing that she liked the song that was playing. Deciding that some punch sounded like a good idea, she made her way towards the table and poured herself a cup, lifting it to her lips and tasting it. It was really good, though of course she had no idea about the liquor in it.

Turning back around, she saw that someone new had entered the house. A couple new people, she thought. Deciding that she wanted to try and make friends here, she approached the newest guy that had entered. "Hi! I'm Melissa, but you can call me Lissa. What's your name?"

Logan Orme

"Mom's asleep, Kal and Noah are in bed watching TV. You know what to do if there's any issues?" Logan asked the thirteen year old girl stood in front of her. She hated to leave her siblings and she very rarely did it but this study meeting was important to her. Due to working so much her grades had began to drop and she needed to get them back up.
"I know. I know. You've told me plenty of times. Go. Enjoy studying like the freak you are. Damn I miss you being cool." Her sister teased, sticking her tongue out. The two girls looked remarkably similar, the only difference being height and the younger girls pitch black hair opposed to Logan's white hair.
"Do not open this door to anyone. I won't be back too late."
Logan jammed her beanie over her hair before exiting the house and locking the door. She trusted her sister to keep control of things, despite not leaving often she did have to work night shifts sometimes and Rena never had an issue. The boys were well behaved and their mother was always asleep by the time she left.
The address she'd been given wasn't too far from her house, only a twenty minute walk if she was fast, so she gladly set off, welcoming the quiet and calm of the dark. Making it to the house within fifteen minutes she was rather proud of herself for making such quick time, she didn't like being late. Knocking first, she waited a few minutes before letting herself in; a frown settled on her face when she noticed the small crowd and odd set up.

Chance smiled, as the door swung open and Charisse welcomed them in. Wow, a lot of C named people. I guess America likes their C names. He walked in, instantly hit with the strong smell of weed. He rubbed his nose, trying to not be so awkward or disgusted. He looked over to see a huge table of drinks, snacks, and. Weed. B.A.S.H. Hmm, is this what I think this is?? Dammit, well at least I could make some friends, or get out of here as quick as I can. He pulled out his ear plugs. Glad I didn't throw you guys away, but I have my earbuds too. He saw the pink haired girl walk over to the punch bowl, he's seen this before. He knew what was going on. He avoided the snack table and set his books down, looking at his dress shoes awkwardly. Let's just hope this night goes well, I don't want shit to go down on my accord. He rubbed the back of his neck, and went over to lean against a wall, soon becoming a bit more relaxed in the environment. Still his phone and his... Item at the ready, his hands in his pockets.

Charisse was beginning to feel the effects of the alcohol, the kind of warmth it gives your muscles right when you start drinking. That was one of her favorite feelings. It was so relaxing and probably what made alcoholics what they are. Whatever, it was a good feeling and she wasn't very concerned about whether or not she was an alcoholic. You didn't get that title until you became middle aged anyways, right? Someone came in the door just then, another junior. She vaguely knew him, enough to know his grade and that his name started with an E, but she couldn't remember much more than that. "Welcomeeee!!!!" she said over enthusiastically, opening one of her arms in a wide movement to put it around his shoulders as he came in. "Punch is spiked, help yourself," she said in a low voice before letting go of him.

As she stepped away the girl with the pink hair introduced herself to the boy whose name started with E. Her name was Lissa, good to know. Charisse watched the two for a moment, deciding that they looked good together. Maybe they'd hook up. Then she could be Charisse the matchmaker and hook up other people! Heck, that would be a great selling point to her parties. Popping out of her fantasy she saw that another girl had arrived. "Welcomeee!" she said in the same tone that she had to E boy. It was another sophomore, which was fantastic! The most exciting part was the newbies. "Punch and snacks are over there!" she yelled over the music, pointing to the table.

Looking around, she noticed that one of the first to arrive was just leaning against the wall. He was a new kid, maybe having a hard time making friends? Charisse took it upon herself to incorporate him into the group. "Hey!" she said, approaching him. " Whatcha up to? Did you want some punch? I can go and get you some!" she said with a welcoming smile. "My name is Charisse, in case you didn't know, you?"

"Chance, Chance Crnich. Great... Gathering eh?" He said softly, his voice even drowned out over the music. "Watcha up to? Did you want some punch? I can go get you some!" Charisse said. He shook his head. "No, I'm good." He felt uneasy, like something was going to go down tonight. He checked his watch. "I'm not doing anything right now, I-I don't really feel comfortable here. I think I'm just going to go." He shuffled his feet. "Your home is beautiful though." He said, while looking around. He fixed his shirt and shifted his fedora, constantly looking around warily as if someone was to attack him right this second. Damn, I should stay for a bit longer... But this just... Feels so weird after... That. He tensed up slightly. I can't trust anyone, not yet. Something bad could happen.

"Canada is pretty far away from here," Chris grinned. He opened his mouth to say something else, but a perky voice interrupted his thoughts. A flurry of red-orange hair greeted him with a loud 'Welcome'. He quirked a brow as she came in for a quick hug, whispering some evil in his ear. As expected of her, the punch was spiked. He shook his head in amusement before turning to the others.

A girl with vibrant pink hair introduced herself. Lissa - she looked naive, which blended in nicely with the innocence of the others. As more and more new members filled into the house, Chris took note of their appearances. Names were passed around in an orderly fashion. Prim, proper, and hilarious against the setting of party house. Charisse didn't seem to want to keep them under the impression of a study group for more than she needed to. Chris watched, noting how she casually mentioned punch over the music.

It wouldn't take long for the underclassmen to figure out that they signed up for much more than just a study group. Chris pushed himself off of the wall. He stuffed his hands into his pockets before making his way around. He said a quick hello to everyone that had arrived - he didn't feel like giving himself too much of a presence yet. One of the boys - Ennis? - caught his eye.

A junior. The rumors must have reached him with the way he looked at things. But Chris moved on, stopping at a girl with a beanie and lightly dyed hair. She had a small frown on her face, almost like she didn't appreciate what she saw.

"You look disappointed," Chris said. It was honest, straight to the point. He gave her a short once over, careful to keep his intentions casual and friendly. "I'm Chris."

Ennis’ eyes widened slightly when he was enthusiastically greeted by a red-headed girl who threw her arm around his shoulder. He had to tilt his head down slightly to hear her hushed words, a light smile finding its way to his lips. Spiked punch definitely sounded like a party to him. He glanced at the others and it was almost too easy to tell which ones had been told about the alcohol in the punch and who was in the dark. As their gracious host moved away from him, he was greeted by a guy named Chris, whose greeting he returned with a bright smile. His eyes fell to the floor when Chris moved on and he was left alone again.
A pair of feet came into view and he looked up, a friendly grin already on his face. It was a fairly cute girl with pink hair and a cup of punch in her hand. He briefly wondered if she was in on the secret of the punch before he remembered that he had to introduce himself as well. “Melissa,” he tilted his head and smiled down at her, “charmed. I’m Ennis.” He hadn’t failed to notice that basically everyone here was freaking adorable, so he wasn’t quite sure that he wanted to start the night flirting with the first person he talked to, but he also didn’t want to be stand-offish. He never could play hard to get or pretend to be the distant type. “So, why are you here Lissa? Other than the thrilling prospect of studying, of course.”

Great job, Ennis. A truly brilliant subject to get the night of partying started. Talking about bad grades and studying is a sure-fire way to make friends.

Ennis offered a slightly apologetic smile, although it more than likely came off as simply sympathetic to her reasons for needing extra study time.

Logan wasn't impressed. She had come here for the purposes of studying to get her grades back up. Flunking classes was not an option and that was currently exactly what she was doing. She had needed this study group and it had turned out to be a party. Avoidance of parties had been done on purpose, they were a distraction and unnecessary. She only attended things that were necessary. Already she was getting nervous with the amount of people. Hence why she almost jumped when a guy appeared at her side.
"You look disappointed." He told her. She appreciated that he was to the point and she didn't doubt for a second the disappointment was evident on her face.
"I'm Chris." He proceeded to inform her. Not that she cared who he was or why he was introducing himself but she wasn't one to be rude. Her left hand moved to the beanie on her head, pulling it off to start wringing it in her hands, a nervous habit of hers.
"Logan." She supplied, chewing on her lip for a moment. "I guess I don't appreciate being lied to." She added in response to his first statement.

Lissa returned his friendly smile with a somewhat relaxed one of her own, grateful that the first person she'd chosen to talk to seemed super nice. So far, no one here seemed to be an asshole, but then again-- she didn't know them. There was a girl nearby who was frowning quite noticeably, and Lissa found her own smile dimming at the sight. But the guy in front of her started speaking and distracted her, and it wasn't long before she was smiling again.

"Ennis, hm?" She tilted her head to the side slightly, still clutching her punch. "I love it. It's unique." She lifted the punch to her lips and took another sip, wondering why she was starting to feel... warm? Must be the temperature setting in the house, or the amount of people. Glancing around the room again, she realized Ennis had asked her a question. Turning back to him, she actually laughed and gestured around to the obviously lacking study group. "To make sure I get good grades, of course." Her laughter turned into a giggle. "What about you?"

Ennis’ eyes lit up and he grinned widely. “Thanks.” Most people thought his name was stupid, so he often went by his middle name. But he could handle ‘unique.’ Unique was better than dumbass. He tilted his head slightly as he looked down at her- searching the room for something he wasn’t sure she would find. He bit his lip and stared at his turquoise tennis shoes, worried that he was boring her.
Quiet relief filled him when she laughed. It was, in fact, a stupid question but at least she thought it was funny. He smiled back at her, rubbing his neck awkwardly. “Um, yeah, sorry. Stupid question. I’m also here to get better grades. My parents went crazy when I said I wanted to play football this year and said I had to get my grades up. So, study club it was.” He said with a light shrug as if he couldn’t care less what his parents wanted. Just a care-free kid going to a stupid club to keep from getting grounded. He smiled again when his eyes settled on her punch cup and he was reminded that this wasn’t just a stupid study group. It was a party.
“Hey, wanna come with me while I get some punch?” He asked, gesturing to the punch table. “And maybe some snacks too. Studying always goes a lot faster with snacks.” He said, his grin a bit mischevious. Why were parties more fun when not everyone knew it was a party?
He went over to the snack table without really waiting for an answer and grabbbed a couple pizza rolls before pouring himself a cup of punch. This party would get going a lot faster if a few more people were drunk, or at least tipsy, and he was more than happy to volunteer for the job. “You hungry?” He asked, looking over his shoulder to see if Lissa had followed him.
