Second son of Jinora and Kai. Kavi had to live in the shadow of his elder brother Kai who was named after his father. Kavi was the only non bender of the family, but he had a great spiritual connection just like his mother. While Kai was the pride and joy if his father, Kavi was the pride of joy of his mother. Jinora and Kavi spend a lot of time together. Jinora introduced Kavi to the spiritual world when he was 10 years old and that became their secret place. Kavi's connection to the spirit world grew stronger everyday that he felt he belonged with the spirits. When time came for Jinora's passing, she followed the role of Iroh, Lord Zuko's uncle, and took passed on to the spirit world. The loss of Jinora took a great toll on Kavi, he had lost his best friend. Several years after Kavi found his other half. They got married and had a beautiful daughter who they named Mi Yun. Kavi's life took an upturn after the birth of his daughter. He became a politician and several years after Kavi became the President of Republic City.

Mi Yun is the daughter of President Kavi. Mi Yun has always been a spoiled child. President Kavi refused to let his daughter feel left out, just like he did when he was younger, so he would do anything for his daughter. Mi Yun always had the biggest parties and the fanciest dresses. She attended the best schools and only socialized with the most prestigious of people. One day Mi Yun caught the butler watching a game on the television and fascinated by it, Mi Yun joined him. The game was unlike anything she had every seen before. Coming from a high society world, seeing the crowd hollering and cheering filled her with an exhilarating emotion, but what made her heart skip a beat was the person they were cheering for, Jay Kannan. It was love at first sight...well one-sided love at first sight. Mi Yun watched Jay's every move through the low definition television in the butler's room. From that moment on Mi Yun never missed a Lion Turtles' game. Mi Yun became Jay's number one fan and sponsor for about twelve fan clubs. Mi Yun has planned her whole future alongside Jay and it's only a matter of time before she marries him...or so she thinks.

Shizuko is the aspiring daughter of two humble restaurant owners in Ba-Sing-Se. Shizuko, along with her older sister Shiori, worked along side their parents at the restaurant. Although Shiori didn't inherit the cooking like her sister did. Shizuko excelled in the restaurant inventing new recipes and always keeping customers with a smile on their face. As the years went by, the sisters became co-owners of their parents restaurant and together brought a new definition to dinning in Ba-Sing-Se. Their restaurant went from a local favorite to a "must stop" place for tourist. With business blooming the word of the restaurant soon hit the ears of the Republic City President. After taking a single bit of the appetizer, President Kavi ordered to meet the chef responsible for the food, as he was delighted with such culinary skills. With his methods of persuasion Kavi convinced Shizuko to work for him as Head Chef in City Hall. Although Shizuko was reluctant to leave her sister behind, Shiori supported her sister and her new opportunity.

Fire Bending Master

Riichi grew up as a spoiled only child. His parents gave him everything he ever desired which only turned him into an ungreateful nuisance. Riichi trained with the best masters money could buy although his high temper made all the masters quit. There was no one in the entire Fire Nation patient enough to train such an arrogant brat. However Riichi wanted to become a master and after a very intense fight with his parents who did nothing but love him, Riichi burned down his house and left his parents inside to die. Realizing what he had done, Riichi fled the Fire Nation Capital and found refuge in a small village in the Earth Kingdom. Riichi fell a great depression when he found out he could no longer provide for himself. Thankfully Riichi was rescued by none other than Avatar Korra as she and Team Avatar were traveling the Earth Kingdom. She trained him in the art of firebending and he shortly became a master. Riichi was able to redeem himself and return to the Fire Nation.


A wise man with a very short temper. Although he has improved his self control, Riichi is ticked off by even the slightest provocation. He is short in patience and feels no shame of his mistakes. Riichi has learned to express his frustration in bending, but even he hasn't mastered his emotions.

Air Bending Master

Although she is very young to be master, Hikaru's airbending abilities sky rocket above and beyond. She is a natural airbender and quite skilled. Hikaru began airbending when she was very young. She went from turning the pages of her books with a puff of air to ridding around in an air scooter to creating a giant air shield around the temple when there was a major storm. She began training by the age of 7 and was above her class in no time. Airbending was second nature to Hikaru. She didn't feel like she was learning something new, but rather relearning something she had forgotten. When she was 10 years old Hikaru was granted the tittle of master which made all the other kids jealous. Hikaru didn't blame them though, it wasn't that they weren't good because they were. She was just more skilled. Hikaru became the black sheep in the crowd of kids, but that didn't stop her from doing what she loved, airbending. Hikaru accepted the fact that kids her age didn't want to be her friend so she befriended the lemurs and flying bison. Although Hikaru doesn't have any human friends, she is happy of who she is and wouldn't change it for the world.


Childish and clumsy, Hikaru is your average teenage girl without the materialistic things. She is perky and full of joy something that can become rather irritating. Hikaru is always daydreaming about perfect moments and silly fantasies. She is a carefree spirit living life to the fullest.

Water Bending Master

Noriko was born and raised in the Northern Water Tribe. She was youngest in a family of five boys so she had to live up to the standards that her older brothers set, which were pretty high. Noriko and her siblings lived in the shadow of the eldest of the six, Mitsue however she was the only one who seemed to mind. the rest of her brothers lived life carelessly while she struggled to keep up with her brother Mitsue and earn an approving glance from her father. On her 21 birthday Noriko challenged Mitsue to a waterbending fight in order to prove that she too was as great as he was. The fight lasted an hour and Noriko came victorious at the end earning the title of Waterbending Master. However, her brother Mitsue was not happy about having the limelight stolen from him. In a moment of rage Mitsue was able to bloodbend Noriko and brought her to a near death. Mitsue was stopped and sent to a prison in the fire nation. Mitsue became a shame to the family that they swore to never speak of him again.


Noriko is the exact definition of a feminist. She lets no man belittle her and loves to prove that she is the best. Although she seems to have a sweet and caring attitude, her competitive nature and sense to always be right bring out the side of her that is filled with loath for her brother.

Earth Bending Master

Taichi never new his mother and father. He was an orphan who had been passed on from family to family. However this by no means bring Taichi down. He tells and retells all his stories with great enthusiasm although tended to exaggerate a few details at times. Taich was always lively, energetic, and always getting into mischief. by the age of 12 Taichi had been arrested 5 times for stealing food from local markets, but he managed to escape every time. When he was 18 Taichi, was already a wanted man around the entire Earth Nation. That, however, didn't stop him from traveling and telling his stories about how he single handedly took down an entire army of Dai Li while having dinner with the prettiest Kyoshi Warrior. All of which was an exaggerated version of the truth of course. The real story was that Taichi had fallen in love with a girl from Kyoshi Island, Mao, and he took her to Ba Sing Se in an attempted elopement;he didn't know she was a Kyoshi Warrior. Taichi took Mao to a nice restaurant, but when they sneaked away before paying, the Dai Li surrounded them. Mean while, the Kyoshi Warriors noticed one of their own had gone missing and went on a rescue mission. When they arrived, the Kyoshi Warriors mistook the situation and thought that the Dai Li had kidnapped Mao. The Kyoshi Warrior fought off the Dai Li while Tachi sneaked away without being caught, but waiting for him outside the restaurant was Mao. Mao told him that she could never be with a criminal and that he needed to get his act together. Mao left Taichi broken hearted and returned to Kyoshi Island. Taichi decided at that moment to change his way of life. He surrendered to the Dai Li and served several years in prison. Taichi trained during his sentence and became a master Earthbender. Taichi completed his sentence when he was 24 and returned to Kyoshi Island for Mao, but he was too late. Mao was already engaged with another man and expecting a child. Taichi moved to Omashu in defeat and opened a soup kitchen for those who do not have money to buy food. He now works in the mail system in order to continue running the soup kitchen.


Taichi is a funny, light hearted person who loves making people feel better. He has transformed from his immature and rebellious self to a more respectable and caring adult. Although Taichi still loves to make people laugh and will pull a prank or two once in a while

The Mayumi's

This family has lived in Republic City for generations. Ever since the first generation, they have been planting seeds to gain power, though not in the boring political way. They have been gaining power as the crime family. Currently, they are the strongest crime family in Republic City, though their reach in influence doesn't stop there. They have branches in every nation and actually have a highly protected hub where tons of information that could be used as blackmail is stored.

The family his highly notorious, and if you live in republic city, there is no way you haven't heard of them. The police force has tried so many times to arrest them, but during any investigation the evidence is too circumstantial or people just go missing. Everyone knows who is behind it, but in courts and law they never have anything solid.

The family deals with many things, such as Blackmail, bribery, robbery, pickpocketing, jacking cars and selling their parts, shaking down business, assault, drug dealing, forgery, counterfeit, identity theft, selling illegal weapons, kidnapping, murder etc. They also pretty much run the black market and very little happens without them knowing.

The Head

Lacy Mayumi is a powerful bender that can actually manipulate dragon flames. She is a kind and caring mother who loves all of her children deeply... However she is still the head of the Mayumi family and when it doesn't come to her children, she is a cold hearted business women. She's cunning and is almost always two steps ahead of the police ready for almost anything.

Second in Command

Kintaro is the husband of Lacy and the father of her children. He too is a complete business man, though he is also a powerful air bender. He gives sage advise to Lacy that has helped saved the family quiet a few times.


He usually runs the more discreet operations, like the pick pocketing rings, or the agents that find blackmail. He doesn't talk much since he just observers with his cold glare. He has a strong connection to the spirits and is personal friends with a few of them.

The Eldest

Yin is currently in the lead for being the heir to the Mayumi family, like his mother he is a fire bender, however he can only manipulate blue flames, not dragon fire. He is the most hot headed of the family and prefers to act rather than to think.


He is very violent and at times can be unreasonable, to him the only thing that matters is that the family is successful here and now, he will worry about the future when it arrives.

The Youngest

Lena is the only one in her family that is not a bender, however this doesn't bug her or the family in the least. She is an amazing dancer who is currently learning the pressure points of a bender, she is also trained in a variety of weapons.


Just like her brothers she wishes to take over the family one day and is doing everything she can to prove she can. Right now she is taking lessons from her mother learning the dos and don'ts of being the head.
