Ming-Me stepped out of the boat amongst other immigrants to the fire nation colonies, more accurately know occupied lands formally of the earth kingdom. She frowned rubbing her stuff neck as she stepped out in the docks. The trip here was one of the most uncomfortable journeys in her life crammed together with the other peasants on the ships haul. She looked around trying to figure out her next move. Everything was made to in a rush, one minute she was training and then the other a sage was pushing her on to a boat. He handed her a bag of supplies and told her to learn the other disciplines but that was it. Not much to go on.


She stepped out of the docs and walked through the village getting a bearing of her surroundings. The village was a mix of fire nation and earth kingdom citizens, with fire nation soldiers on patrol. Despite the war the two groups seems peaceful and thriving, she wondered why there was so much outcry against the war. In any case, it would be difficult finding an earthbender here in the colonies, most of them have been shipped to POW camps. She needed to get to the earth kingdoms itself. How exactly she didnt know but that were she was going.

Naomi walked down a slender alley headed to the center of town. She needed more supplies to continue on her journey. She had been wandering, just walking with the wind. She finally got to the center. She had came here 3 times before and knew her way around. She started to buy food. She then filled her water case, and got a new blanket. Then she went into the bar. This city was large and contains lots of people. She hasn't met anyone here worth remembering so she was she known as a stranger to most people. In the bar she sat at the counter and order a beer.

Ming-me left the village and walked towards a nearby town. Part way there she sat by the side of the road and checked her backpack for a supplies. She found some rations, various currency and something that surprised her: Earth nation villager clothing, this will allow her to travel unopposed by the earth kingdom soldiers and if fire nation solider found her she can just say she was spy prove it by fire bending. The sage helped her out after all, she thought herself and smiles as she stood up. She walked into the nearby forest and found a quite spot to change to the green clothing, though she was sure there was none around she couldn't sake the feeling she was being watched. However she put it of to paranoia and once changed she continued on to her journey to the next town. She walked into a nearby tavern searching for something home cooked to eat rather then the horrible rations.


"Hey, some fire flakes and kommodo sausage. "She asked the landlord ordering dishes she would order at the fire nation not realising it was an earth establishment. The landlord looked at her strangely:


"Excuse me?"


"What your deaf?"She retorted.

Hearing commotion in the back, Naomi turn to see what it was. It was a earth kingdom civilian giving sass to the landlord. She was ether a fire nation spy or just completely stupid.


"Are you deaf? Think before you talk, this is a earth establishment, they don't serve that kind of food idiot." She huffs and turns around. She takes another swig from her cup.


"If your gonna be sassy make sure you have the correct information, or youll look like an even bigger idiot then you already look!" She chuckles, and drinks some more.


The landlord hands Ming-me a menu, "here we cant cook what you want but we can cook anything in here." she attempted not to sound angry or upset.

"Whatever, been travelling too long I don't know were I left my brain behind." Ming-me tried to not seem to bothered by her mistake though in her head she scolded her stupidity. She ordered something and took a look around, a couple of people were giving her dirty look on her comments. Just let them try something she thought. She turned to the girl next to her who commented earlier. She was to see a water nation tribeswomen here they rarely leave the poles thanks to the war. Ming-me hadn't encountered the water tribals before beyond academically, she found the women's look quite attractive. She turned her head forward again and tried to force such thoughts out of her mind to a more appropriate one.


"You a water bender, girl?" She asked her.

People snickered and gave dirty looks to the girl that was causing trouble. How stupid did she look to this girl. The girl blame it on traveling, who in there right mind travels to a fire nation in the middle of war, She was defintaly a spy. She then started talking to her asking if she was a water bender, Naomi to another swig of her drink, finishing it off. She order another and nodded. 'The girl must have study my clothes' she thought. Looking at her blue shirt and pants. "Yes, but I prefer more...advance form of water bending" she didn't want to say she blood bends or the people around would probably call her a witch and run her out of this town. "What's it to you." She took sip of her new drink and looked at the spy or at least she thought it was a spy, trying to see her reaction.

"Thats good." She said trying to ignore her mistake earlier though others weren't letting her. She was too glad for her luck to care how she seemed."Can you teach someone the art both basic and advance, or know someone who does? I would like to learn."

She laughed "you can't just learn how to bend" doesn't she know that, everybody does. You can't learn to bend your born with the power to. Unless your the avatar, and the avatar hasn't been seen for many years. "Are you joking around because that was the most ridiculous question ever."

"No i am dead serious." She said just looking at her with straight face." I know hard to believe after the fire flake comment but my moment of stupidity has past." I am Avatar and if it will make you feel any better i am firebender, as if you haven't guessed already."

She starts to choke on her drink. After she got her breath back she glared at the girl next to her "the avatar is nothing to joke about! You can't just start telling people your the avatar!" She set 3 gold pecies on the table and stood up. "Goodbye"

Ming me stepped in front of her, preventing her leaving. "If should be telling people about it should I really let the person I told go?"She asked rhetorically." Look, you want to prove it to you I will, I will shoe fire bending and I will perform a water technique you show me. I will even pay for just that, water nation or earth nation currency."

She glared, but then thought for a moment. She sighed giving in "fine but I want 20 earth nation currency coins. Follow me and keep up." She then walked out quickly and headed into the forest near a stream. She set her stuff down. "Are you ready? Show me a fire move then ill teach you a move a three year old could learn easily."

"For 20 coins, i expect more then just a baby technique especially when i am fronting a better technique," She tried juggle as she followed walking into the forest with her." Damn right i am." She got to a stance and took a deep breath while raising her arms slow as if she was pushing up something in front of her chest and into her mouth. She exhaled though instead of air, a torrent of flame burst of her mouth and let it out in an arc in front of her. She closed her mouth and then burped."Excuse me... That could be funnier if i had some fire flakes."

Naomi watched the fire and then watch her burped. "That was gross.... and wouldnt have been funny even if a platypus bear did it well it was dressed as the fire lord." She sighed "okay now lets see if you are the 'avatar' as you claim to be. Follow what I do." She bent her knees, and exhaled and then inhaled as her arms shifted creating a water ball. She then moved her hands dropping the water ball. "there do it or at least attempt to."

"True, just wanted to check what you thought. Anyways..." Ming said before watching Naomi to her technique."Looks simple enough. So bend knees." She mimicked Naomi as precisely as she could, forming the ball. Instead of dropping the ball instinct told her to do otherwise, using the momentum of the techniques movement she moved her hands as if she pushed the ball. The ball went flying to a nearby tree causing it to crack. "I think i got it. I am Ming Me by the way, i guess we should introduce each other proper. "

"I-Im Naomi and that's all you need to know...." Her jaw then dropped as she bended the water "Y-you are the A-avatar." she rubbed her temples. "okay so many questions....but im not going to ask. The only question im going to ask is, are you here to stop the war? Are you going to try and help?" she starts pacing back and forth, worried and excited.

"I as as surprised to hear about it as your are." She said before trying out the water ball technique again, seeing what else she could do with it. Its been a while since she has trained with her bending she didnt want to get rusty and to learn more of the water bending. " Yeah, i guess... That is what Avatars do i guess... Learn the elements and save the world. Before you ask the reason i still need to learn more then just fire bending is because i didnt know i was the avatar until about a month ago."
