Alternate ending to season 1 of Legend of Korra, though latter season events might play a role eventually. Amon's movement against Republic city has succeeded, taking over the city under a council of equalist minded members headed by Amon himself.

The Equalist group aided with Future Industries police the city stematically gathering benders in special camps to be removed of their bending and expand their influence in the united republic. Team Avatar, including the avatar herself, and the former government have disappeared presumed debended and held captive.

Equalist movement have risen in both the earth and fire kingdom and have steadily picked up membership and repeatedly growing violent.

The only true sanctuary for benders now are the north and south water tribes due to increased spirit activity but gaining passage to those lands is very difficult. You are person under these oppressive times. Are you bender searching for a way to survive or rising up against the so Equalist? Or are you a non-bender sympathetic to the benders and trying to help, or an Equalist settling a score or just trying to to live your day to day lives?


Standard rules apply...No garys or mary sues. Romance allowed but fade to black...You know the bit. Be friendly and keep personal quibbles outside the the rp please. Only minor scorrecting ooc notes in "in character threads" and in brackets please (a sentence max). Be careful with the use of blood bending make sure all parties involved are agreed to its use. You better believe i will be knocking heads if you break the rules

Jiao worked in his garage, tinkering with an equalist officer's satomobile. Most of the new city officials and social elite now used satomobiles, clearly marked by the two Equalist flags on their bonnet, while the rest of populace used regular steam cars. Instantly recognizable these cars were given a wide berth by security forces. Useful for somebody in Jiao profession who called for their regular checkups by him from their owners, though there were usually little to no work required for them which for fine by him. He could do much with one arm anyway.


He closed the car bonnet before going to the counter of his small store, only able to hold three cars and all the part he might need. He picked up a package in a postal wrapping on the counter and took to the satomobile placing it in the boot. Before going for going for his phone and dialing a number.


"Its ready."He said simply and before long two shifty individuals came into his store dressed in regular clothing. He pointed them to a large Equalist propaganda poster."Clothes are behind there."


One of the two nodded before moving to the poster, removing it carefully revealing a secret room. The entered and after a few minutes came oue, wearing an equalist soldier uniform, the other an officers uniform. Jiao approached both of them and began adjusting their uniform.


"Your target is the mech factory were the old police headquarters was. The package is in the bout."He said quickly and softly, he then smiled and gave a salute" For the United republic."


"The republic."Both replied saluting back before entering the satomobile. Jiao watched them leave and sighed when the were out of sighing, he doubted the two will return.

Naira had been walking the streets for a little bit now with some of her equalist brothers and sisters for a little bit now. She was enjoying herself just talking about normal things. She kept on the hood that most equalists wear and just continued to walk. They were heading to the house of a supposed bender to arrest him and send it to one of the camps. While walking by a small automotive shop she sees two equalists saluting the mechanic and driving off, Naira was curious and went to check it out. "excuse me mechanic, why did those two men just salute you."

He smiled when the equalist soldier approached him, though in truth he panicked slightly not expected a patrol at this time. He thought quickly before sitting on one of the cars making his missing arm evident.


"I flew biplanes during our glorious uprising, the officer was an old squad mate. That was before...Well, as you can see."He said casually."Anything i can help you with, young lady?"

 

[Harbinger]

"That must've hurt real bad. My father lost his leg from one of those biplanes, has hated it ever since. I was wondering if you knew this man. " She held up a drawing of a young male. "We believe that he is a bender and we are going there to find him, we just don't know exactly. I was wondering if you could help since you've been here for a while now."

"Real bad? Is was like dipping your hand in a steam engine...Still is at times."He said this time speaking truthfully before taking a closer a look at the image. He did recognize him he was no bender but a sympathetic to the republic and bender cause."I know him, good kid, he used to work with me from time to time but havent seen him in months. He is certainly no bender i can tell you that much, wouldn't have hired him otherwise. Were did you say you were going to find him?"

 

[Harbinger]

"We are tryinmg his house first. We have a feeling he'll more than likely be there, he has no where else to run. Do you mind if I stay here for a bit, my brothers and sisters are heading there right now and I have to stay back if he makes a run for it." Naira leaned up against one of the walls near a giant propoganda poster.

"If you wish, I don't get much company this time of night especially pretty patriotic girls like yourself."He said smiling trying to remain non-chelant the girls new position in the store. Her finding his storage didn't bother him much, he was sure to find an explanation for it and if push comes to shove he could take. It was the young lad they were looking for, he was a good agent and a good kid undeserving of their detention. However, he couldn't do much about it now not with her watching him. His only hope would be the destruction if the other boys managed to bomb the factory."What's your name?"

 

[Harbinger]

"The name is Naira, I'm not that pretty, ou should see some of the girls that I was with. They are considered the pretty ones." As soon as Naira finished her sentence she could see the man they were looking forr run by. She took out a bola and whipped it at his feet causing him to trip over. Naira walked over to him and kicked him in the stomach for good measures. "Enjoy your night mechanic" Naira and two members began to lead him away.

 

[Meredith]

Adamine absently looked out the window as she worked. She tensed, seeing Equalists across the street at the mechanic's. Her eyes narrowed as she watched the scene. She looked over to Darcy, who was reading absently.


"Stay here and make sure the fire doesn't go out." She ordered quietly. Knowing he'd heard her, she threw the door open, stepping through, she began walking towards the Equalists.


"Excuse me, but what has my neighbor done? He's just a harmless ex-army-man."

"Dont get involved, Ady."He said to the arrival of Adamine, stepping infront of her."Let the officer do their duty." Especially as the bomb set for the factory is set to go off any minute, he thought.

 

[Harbinger]

Tara turned around and walked towards the girl "we are taking him in for being a suspected bender. Please stay back or we will have to take you in as well." Naira walked back when she heard a loud explosion coming from the mech factory, she saw the smoke and looked back to the mechanic with a suspicious look. The rest of the equalist soldiers dropped their original hostage and began to tie up the people in the streets. "You all are to be detained until we find out what the hell is happening around here."

"What? The explosion happens miles away and you sticking around here?"Jiao commented pretending to be shocked by the explosion."Come on, officer, I pegged you better than that. Go investigate there."

 

[Harbinger]

"Don't you tell me what to do. We've been scouting this area for a while and we believe that there are some key resistance members in the area. Just let us do what we need to and go back to your shop." Naira continued to throw bolas at people trying to escape and threw one around adenine and jiao. Sorry but it is what I have to do.

Adamine bit her lip, giving the Equalist a hard stare.


"Bring me into custody if you'd like, but if you -touch- my son I will fight back, and it will not be pretty, I can promise you that." Her voice was almost flat. She looked up at the woman, teeth bared. "If you hurt my son, any of you, I'll kill you. I hope that's perfectly clear."


{Sorry, I was at school. Going back for an hour and a half in twenty minutes, then I'm back!}

"Ada shush."He said to Adamine giving her a stern look. He didn't like the state of affairs and would like nothing more to bend a stone in Naora's direction but didn't want to blow his cover. He let Equalist cronies pick him up, it was quite the journey between here there headquarters. Anything could happen. "They have nothing on us. We will be free soon enough."

 

[Meredith]

She tensed as she was picked up, looking to Jiao.


"Where're we going?"

"Ask soldier girl."He said giving Natia a hard look."She is in charge here, not for long though after I make my phone call."

 

[Harbinger]

"whatever you say mechanic. We're going to a small holding facility for a little bit until we figure out how this all happened." Naira walked with them until thry were thrown into a small cell and Naira sat across from them.

 

[Meredith]

Adamine looked up in the cell, her face flushed.


"My -son- is alone in the house. He's nine. Nine! I demand to call him and tell him to go to his Uncle's. He'll get hurt if he's at home by himself." Her gaze hard but worried for Darcy, she gritted her teeth. "He needs to get to his Uncle's. He can't be home alone."

"You are just going to let her boy alone? With bending triads out there?"He added speaking to Natia, hopping it would divert her attention away from them. He knew it wouldn't take them too long to realize his bending or his secret in his store."Come on you can't sent somebody to look on for her."

Raiden was dressed as a equalist soldier and he followed the two keeping a close eye on every one else 
-raiden's thoughts- I can sense that these two are earth benders luckily the equalists don't know the can bend

"I'll give ypu a chance to call him adamine" Naira lifts her and sits here down near the phone but then another equalist rushed in and told her about the secret room in jiao's shop. " I knew there was something up with you jioa but I couldn't figure it out." She picked up adamine and tossed her bck in the cell. "go to her house and pick up her son, don't hurt him and bring him back here. I'll make sure your son gets here safe, I promise you"
