Background: Poor father Alebaster....nobody knows why he snapped, but he did and fell far. He is a sweet man, but is trapped in a nightmare that nobody else can see. Constantly in fear of Obsidian, the one who he cannot seem to get away from. No matter where he goes. Every day it drives him farther and farther into insanity, but there is something that he does not know about him...something far darker and more terrifying than he could ever imagine.


Other: He has a cross burned into his chest, arms and back from when they tried to exorcise him. Thinking that his breakdown and madness were due to him being possessed.

Mental illness/disease: Multiple Personality Disorder, MPD


Background: "Gospel", legally known as Ester White, was born into a very poor household. Her mother turned to many illegal activities including locking Ester up in the closet for the days she would leave. From the experiences of these fits of isolation, Ester began to make friends with the voices inside her head. Ester clicks off, someone else clicks on. Eventually Ester murdered her mother, not intentionally, and she ended up in the loony bin being a minor when the crime was committed. Gospel has been in the Asylum sense she was 15.


Other: Gospel has four different personalities. She doesn't know of any of them and believes that she was wrongfully accused.

Bio: A doctor at the local Asylum. She is one of the best in the building and has helped many patients cope with their illnesses and even helped cure some of them. Many of her patients like her very much due to her caring nature and her calm and peaceful demeanor around them. She has worked there for about 5 years now and is one of the few staff members that haven't quit after the first 6 months of working there.

Stendhal Syndrome:


characterized by physical and emotional anxiety up to the level of a panic attack, dissociative experiences, confusion, and even hallucinations when an individual is exposed to art. The syndrome is usually triggered by art that is perceived as particularly beautiful or when the individual is exposed to large quantities of art that are concentrated in a single place. The term can also be applied to a similar reaction to an overwhelming experience, for example when confronted with immense beauty in the natural world.


Bio: Jinxx was diagnosed with Stendhal syndrome at a very young age. Doctors believed it would died off as she got old, instead it only got worse and worse. She was taken away from her family and thrown into an insane asylum.


Other than Stendhal syndrome, Jixx is color blind. Though hers is sorta an off-and-on thing. One day she might wake up with color in her vision and then later in the day her vision might return to shades of gray. When this happens, her eyes will change color as well. her eyes will be a light blue when she has colored vision, and grey when she is color blind.

Jinxx has ice white hair and pale skin with a normal, dull, pink blush. She is usually mistake to be younger than she really is because of her soft, child-like face.

Bio: Nicholas is one of the doctors of the Insane Asylum. He is head of Surgical procedures and Dicipline (if that is ok). Though some consider he, himself, to be insane as well, Nicholas claims he has full control and content over his body and mind, so his sanity is still intact.

History:


Motor is a gang member who's on the run from cops for racketeering and theft (mostly). Everything was nice and dandy till the cops busted the gang's hideout and sent everyone running for their lives. It's been a week since Motor last had contact with his boss. Motor has been hiding somewhere with his Ducati bike - it's his own personal hideout with cans of food and water. He also carries an MP5 with him at the moment, but god knows how long that spray of bullets would last. But all he has to do is lay low right? Then the cops would eventually move onto more easier criminals to catch.


Other notes:


* When he gets drunk, he talks to the wall


* Don't sleep next to him. He punches people in his sleep.


* There are no tats or shaved areas on his forehead. You're seeing things. :P

Erm, just to be sur, is this a slice of life RP or supernatural? With the existence of criminals, prisons and wardens, I thought this was a gang/prisoner RP. But it feels as if most inhabitants are mage-like (with Fathers, exorcisms etc). Sadly, Mark comes from my of my previous ganster RPs.
 
This is a slice of life RP. And it's not so much gang/prisoner as it is insane asylum. I suppose there can be criminals and prisoners here, but they would have to be committed from some reason.
 
Hmm... what if Mark's boss never existed because he is only imagined by Mark? Mark's killed people and burned down entire facilities because of 'him'. Same goes for all of Mark's other friends who don't really exist.

Hmm... I might edit my IC post a bit. Going to change Mark's name to Motor - his gang name. 'Mark' is used by everyone else to address him, whilst 'Motor' is what he calls himself when he's in gang-mode.

Bio: Patient X is a rare case. His Aspergers make him smart, His OCD helps him clean up the murder and his APD makes it easier to lie. So with all that he has commited many crimes. Mainly serial murder, with almost no trace of murder. The cops were lucky to get him he pleaded insanity which was true meaning he wound up here. A mental hospital. Now being the smartest there has made it eaiser to if he could somehow find a way to act if he was cured he could get out of thiis dump and go back to murder.
