Realistic or Modern AsYlum

Axeykins

Humanoid Typhoon
A perfect place to contain all of the dangerous and insane criminals of the city. We pride ourselves in the excellence of our staff and facility! Keeping the streets of our beloved city clean.

Lies, the outside is dark and foreboding and inside...inside is a nightmare. The prisoners often roam free and are only kept at bay by the harsh treatment of the prison guards and fear of what tortures the warden will think up. It's a nasty place to live with only two ways out, Escape or Die.

You can either be a prisoner or a guard or other worker at the asylum(scientist, nurse ect.) . Only one person can be warden(first come first serve and if you don't respond after a long time you will be replaced. Sorry, but tis an important role in this forum.)

Warden:

The main settings are in the Asylum and the city. If you are wanted or escape, you will be hunted down mercilessly

1. No GOD MODDING

2. Swearing is fine.

3. Relationships are fine, but don't get too wrapped up in them.

4. Avoid one liners! They make it difficult to add to the story.

Father Alebaster sat quietly near the lily pond that decorated the northern corner of the courtyard. Staring down at the peaceful waters as he played nervously with a strand of his snowy white hair. Watching. Waiting. For something only he could see or at least thought he could see. That one being that constantly followed him and tormented him during his ever waking moment. Making his life a living Hell.

Jinxx walked around limply and tiredly around the inner hallways of the asylum. Moans and cries echoed through the corridors as she searched for the doors that opened up into the court yard. Usually, screams would fill the building but most of the patiences were spending their day outside since it didn't happen often that the courtyard doors were open. Besides that, Jinxx had an unsettling urge to see something visually... beautiful. She assumes it was just due to her Stendhal Syndrome but she lust let her body guide her outside and into the natural light. No wonder the doors were open. It was so pretty outside. It happens ever so rarely but Jinxx actually smiled. She scanned the people the scattered the field, but one face stood out to her: Father Alebaster. He was rather popular amongst the patients. She walked up to him. He happened to be sitting next to the pond. "Good morning, Father Alebsater," she greeted. Her voice was dull and had no tone and her eyes were lowered.

Being lost in his own world of paranoia for a moment he jumped terribly bad at the sudden greeting. His eyes shot quickly to the new face, thinking He was going to be standing there, but alas it was only one of the other patients. With a relieved sigh he looked up at her with softening eyes. "Good morning Lass." He greeted her quite cheerfully. "It's quite a lovely day today isn't it?"

"It is indeed." She sat down next to Father Alebaster, staring at the motionless water with him. "This is hard for me.... To be out here in the natural world...." She looked up at him, her eyes a subtle grey.

"Oh? And why is that lass?" He looked into those subtle Greg eyes with curiosity. He recognized her from around the facility, but could not remember why she was there. "Sorry to have to ask, but you know how it is with gettin' older an havin' ta keep so many names an all that in order."

A small smiled played upon Jinxx's face. "Its ok... Anyway..." She continued," I am Jinxx. I've been diagnosed with Stendhal syndrome since I was a child. As we speak, it's dangerous for me to be out her. It is beautiful indeed and at any moment... I could snap." A shiver an down her spine. everytime she went into a panick attack, she lost control of her body and... it scared her. Most of the time to where she would start crying during her attacks. Or hurting other patients. Nightmares haunted her every night of her disorder and hated herself for it.

"Aaaah. That's right...I remember ye now." He smiled softly. "It's a shame that ye have such troubles, but if it helps ya any....just think a how ugly this place really is. It's all beautiful until ya think a what's really underneath." To try and ease her worries and show her what he meant he tossed a rock into the pond. Stirring up the scum and covering the lilies in filth. His own reflection seemingly changed to a more sinister as well as the waves rippled across the surface. "But, if that doesn't help ya. I pass no judgement on what happens when ya lose control and offer a helpin' hand."

Jinxx nodded in understanding. 'Actually... That did help." The muck that stirred up in the rotting water of the pond actually made her relax significantly. It even gave off an unpleasant smell that, honestly, made her switch to breathing through her mouth. "Father Alebaster... Is it true y-you were exorsied? Pardon me for asking, it's just... You're rather popular amongst the patients and it comes around every now and then that you...were..." Jinxx frowned and looked away. "I was curious..." She added a but quieter.

His bright smile faded significantly. "So that rumor is still spreadin' around now is it?" He took in a deep breath, his face taking on a clearly pained expression as the subject came up. "I was....or at least they tried." A hand went up subconsciously to rub one of the scars left from when they did that to him. "They didn' know what was wrong, so they assumed it was demons an that they knew exactly how ta fix me."

'If there are demons.. there must be a Hell... And with a Hell there is a heaven... Is there a God to accompany it?" The idea of a higher power had always been a question Jinxx had that remained unanswered. She looked back at Alebaster expectingly. Surely he would know, she always saw him as wise. Why is he still in this asylum?

"That depends on what you believe." A slight smile began to make it's return. "I believe that there is Heaven and a God up there an he's got a plan fer all of us. I wish I could tell ya what it was, but if I claimed to be a prophet then they'd definitely lock me in the padded cell." He tried to make it as lighthearted sounding as possible, but unfortunately...a small pain in his head changed that immediately.

"Oh ho-ho...you'd better believe demons are real little girl, because you're staring right at one." The priests demeanor had instantly changed. His eyes no longer held that softness. They were now cold, cruel and sly. His accent and cheery attitude had disappeared as well. Leaving somebody completely different....somebody who had darker aura about them.

Jinxx gasped quietly. Suddenly, something had changed about his. Not only his facial expressions, but his aura. "Father Alebaster... Alebaster a-are you ok?" She looked behind her as the patients began to file back into the asylum. "Father Alebaster, It's time to go back..."

"Who now?" He looked around himself to see who she was talking to and then at her confused. "Are you talking about that doddering old fool of a priest? Ha, he can go back in there. I, however, am going to stay out here and enjoy the lovely weather and there is nothing that they can do about it."

Motor sighed as he leaned back on the wall of his hideout (an abandoned shed in the sticks). In his hand was his mobile phone that he held onto dearly. It was the only way to contact his boss. Motor performed a quick dial. "Hey boss, me and the boys are still here for ya. Give us a signal and we'll do the rest" said Motor before he hung up. Strange though. Because the phone's battery had been dead for weeks. It has always been dead.

"Looks like it's beans again tonight" said Motor as he opened two cans. One for himself and the other for Blade, his partner in crime. "Nah, I'll pass. Rather eat dirt" replied Blade as he pushed back the can. "Eh, suit yourself. I'll take the first watch, you go to sleep" said Motor as he poked at the icky looking beans. After he was done, Motor went outside. His beloved Ducati was parked outside and underneath some covers. The shed itself rattled a bit in the wind. But apart from that it was considerably quiet, especially when considering that Motor was the only one there.

Jinxx looked at Alebaster like he was insane... oh wait. She sighed and stood up. "This lovely weather isn't going to last for much longer. But Suit yourself, Father Alebaster. But if you don't come in you'll miss lunch and dinner. The doors most likely will open again to tomorrow but if they don't, you'll starve." She began to walk off towards the door as a few wandering patients that still remain, made their way over to the doors as well.
