Fantasy Assassins, soldiers and eldritch abominations from the river n'yelk'trus sha

MrSquid123

What am I doing?
this rp takes place in the world of the Undertow in which the world his been split into islands and archipelagos. You live in the land that was once the great nation of China but is now the Empire of Sunken China. You must survive in a world full of assassins, bandits, plots and tentacle monsters covered in eyeballs and teeth, all of which you can play as.

Well, I was thinking that a saltwater marsh or a town nearby would be a nice place to set the mood for the RP because it'd be misty and spooky.

That could make a good starting point. Maybe the roleplay starts with you having accepted a job to clear out some kind of monster from the marsh surrounding an obscure town where there's something off about everything there.

Potentially! I was planning on having my character be a shifty lamp merchant (who deals with a minor eldritch being) who sets up shop there. I just like the aesthetics of a spooky lamp merchant at the edge of a marsh.

That could work there will be travel from that locations at times but we could set it up as a kind of base of operations

I shall be a suave and charismatic squid person, also known as I will be attempting to chat up everything not trying to kill me.

Hello there! Couldn't help but see that this thread stemmed from another one about horrible monsters and such. I can't help myself, so I have to speak up. I looooove strange and diverse monsters of all kinds.

Pretty new here, any way I could get involved in this? I've done roleplaying before, just not on this here site.

Oh uh, and if I'm not wanted, just be sure to tell me.

Awesome! Thank you very much!

So, I'm assuming that this roleplay here is in development stages, yes?

Give me a bit of time and I'll have some sort of character whipped up. I might even use something I sketched earlier today.

Should I go for a man made out of fire, a guy with a squid for a head or a guy with a normal body but with tentacles along with the normal complement of limbs, 7 eyes and his mouth on his neck.

Fire sounds nice but the last option sounds the most interesting.
Hmmm, fire or tentacles, seven eyes and a mouth on the neck? The age old question. I think I'll go for the last one

Had an Idea for a monster type character. It would be something along the lines of a small boat that has turned into a monster, probably some form of amphibian like a frog or a crustacean like a crawdad. It would be sentient and could speak, and it would also give rides to people on land or in the water. Payment for the ride is in fish. If no payment is made, the boat eats the rider.

Either that, or it's a wharf roach that can make inanimate objects into monsters by quickly setting up membranes, veins, and additive tentacles. It can do this because eldritch magic.

Torn between the two. Which one should I go for? I'd be happy playing as either, really.
