It was merely another contract, another person to kill. This time around, Oliver was apparently to be going after some female named Evelyn. From the top of a structure, the assassin searched like a hawk for his prey. His hood prevented his face from being seen, and he had his blades at the ready...
I walk out of the store and sighed and mummer something to herself. She started walking again. She then turn into an alley she did this everyday it was a short cut to her house. She felt as if she was being watched she turn and looked it was no one.
It seemed that this had been exactly what Oliver was waiting for. A smug smile crept onto his face, and he finally lowered himself from his position. "I'd stay still if I were you, this will be a lot worse if you run," rang a sudden voice throughout the alleyway. Oliver was directly behind Evelyn, his sword held tightly in his right hand.
"Look, I'll make this quick, but I'm afraid I can't just let you run off..." Oliver said, beginning to slowly move towards her. As he drew closer, he noticed that she was rather... beautiful. She looked frightened. Normally, Oliver wouldn't care about things like this. But this was different... in some odd way or form. However, he had a mission to fulfill...
She kept backing up intill she hit the wall. She was trembling and felt like crying she couldn't she wasn't going to die a damsel in distress "I-I have on question" she got her voice under control
"Alright, I'll at least grant you that before..." Oliver trailed off, his eyes narrowed, and pointing his sword directly at Evelyn's throat. He kept having a nagging thought in the back of his head to just spare her. She looked nothing short of terrified right now, she had nothing to defend herself it seemed, and he didn't even know why she was to be killed anyway... yet, since when had he ever cared about why his targets were to be murdered.
Oliver hesitated... before doing the unthinkable. He lowered his weapon, and sheathed it, rather than killing her. "I'll let you go free... my name is Oliver," He said, quietly.
She look at him with a glare then turn her head away. "Thank you" but She couldnt move her legs they were shaking. Then she collapsed on the ground and look down at the floor. Why did she feel horrible he let her live. All She knew was her legs weren't going anywhere.
"Are you alright?" Oliver asked, curiously. He hadn't laid a finger on her, yet she had.. collapsed. More than likely, it was the shock. His sympathy for this woman was beginning to grow by the moment.
Albeit relunctantly, Oliver strode towards her. He had sat his weapons on the ground, to let her know that he meant no harm. "I just want to know if you're alright or not..." He stated, plainly. He lowered his hood to reassure her.
"But I didn't kill you... I didn't want your blood on my hands. Please, let me help you," He assured. He didn't know what more he could really do, so he gently took her hand. "We should get out of far. I'll take you back to wherever your home is located."
Oliver took a bit of time to ponder his next response. "Perhaps you shouldn't trust me... I can't force you to..." He stated, finally beginning to back away from her.
She hesitated but grab his hand and stood up again almost falling but she grab onto his chest. "S-sorry ill get off." She looked into his eyes they were beautiful
"Don't worry about it," He said, softly. His gaze lingered for a few moments upon Evelyn's breathtakingky beautiful face, her emerald green eyes, and splendid red hair. Noticing that he was staring, he turned his gaze elsewhere. "I'll accompany you to your place." He gave her a warm smile, leading her onward.
Not know to do next she followed forwards. They kept walking intill they got to her house. They stood at the front door. She released his hand some what missing the feeling of his big hand wrapped around mine. "Thank you"
"Don't mention it." He had seemingly gained her trust at last, and had brought her back here safely. What else was there to be done? Of course, he could stay for a bit longer and get to know her better... "I suppose this is farewell?" He asked, quietly.
