DemonKitten

Handler of Souls, Destroyer of Hearts
I have built this character for a very long time. I roleplayed with her a lot on neopets and she is the main character to a book I am writing.

I want to know what yall think of her or if she fits any roleplays that yall are in. I'm having trouble finding a place for her. Her history is flexible so it can change to correspond with different world.

It's a nice character, I'm sure, but advertisement towards another website is not allowed due to RpN rules. ^_^ Could you perhaps copy and paste it?

yes. I can do that. Thank you for telling me

Personality: Ashlyn is an overly optimistic pessimist with an enjoyment for people watching. She loves animals and is very social, but a little awkward in it due to being away from civilization for a long time. She is usually good tempered, but when she was younger she had a terrible temper that she learned to control.

Powers/abilities: Ashlyn has the ability to manipulate the poison in her body to do just about anything imaginable. She can heal, disintegrate things like acid, manipulate and change minds, and she can even bring life to things that have died(but this is difficult and rarely done). Ashlyn also can transform into a cat that prevents her from using her poison and is a safe haven for herself. Ashlyn is bad at completely controlling her powers and so a sweet scent escapes from her skin causing some sort of drawing of others to her. It has different effects depending on the power of the person or things mind is.

Appearance: Ashlyn is about 5"8 or 5"9 with Ivory beige skin that can be fair or dark depending on the weather. She has vivid orange/red hair with matching brown/red eyes. Her hair is fairly long and layered. She usually wears earthy colors with dark blues. She doesn't always have shoes on, but she does own one. She doesn't wear jewelry and her ears heal too fast to have a piercing.

Companions: Being a couple thousands years old, she has lost everyone and so has no companions.

Likes: She loves animals, especially cats. She also is a fan of pretty things, and has a tendency to be in trees.

Dislikes: She dislikes being helpless, hates corn, and doesn't like being close to people out of fear.

Weaknesses: Ashlyn's weakness is her lack of full control and the fact that if she uses her powers she is one step closer to having her body rejuvenate.

Strengths: Ashlyn is street smart and clever. She knows how to trick people so that she doesn't ever have to use her powers. She is sort of like a cheshire cat of sorts.

History: Ashlyn was created by the loneliness of a man that had lost everything. A science experiment, is what she was. Just a toy to a man who had fallen in love with a strange plant. This plant was not originally from earth, but was called the plant of Eden. It was a beautiful flower with white and red petals that was drenched in a deadly poison or, if desired, a powerful tool. This flower had a thought process and watched the human world look for it with a desire for its power. There was only one man that looked for it with a want for death.

It was during the medieval times era, like the camelot time, that this scientist fell upon this flower during his time of crisis. He never believed in something as mysterious as a flower that could grant any wish or desire. Giving up on his life due to his wife and child being burned alive in their home, he looked for this flower for years and finally came upon it.

The flower looked at his empty greed and felt pity and love for the man. Giving up its ability to protect itself from its own poison, it allowed the man to live near it. For awhile, the man and flower were happy until it started to wilt. In desperation, he devised a machine that could take the plants life and his own ability to protect from the poison and create a new. All that was required was a child.

That is where Ashlyn comes in. Taking a child born in death, he placed the child in the container and began to work his scientific genius. The baby grew bright orange red hair, vibrant red brown eyes replaced normal brown ones and the child was alive, but not exactly.

The parents of the babies body ran after the man in rage and he was forced to drop the child off at a doorstep of the nearby Queendom where Ashlyn would be raised to be the next ruler.

That is her origin story. She was named Ashlyn because she was a dream to the Queen and her husband. Ashlyn was raised well and close to her butler, Alexander. The queen grew ill after her birth of her real daughter, but still said Ashlyn was destined to be the new Queen. Ashlyn didn't know of her powers and watched her mother grow ill.

When the Queen died, the King blamed Ashlyn knowing she wasn't human. She was forced to depend on Alexander for support as she was still to be future queen.

It all went bad when she fell in love with a childhood friend who dreamed of being her knight. When he returned from training, he, like Alexander, told her she must marry someone of power and he said he didn't love her. In sadness, she ran away from her home of 18 years enraged that her father wanted an arranged marriage, her butler desired the same, and her knight said he no longer loved her.

Ashlyn's powers were awoken by the strange man who was her creator. He awakened her power by giving up the rest of the flowers essence to her. In pain and agony, the poison ate away at her skin and caused her to be reborn as the Ashlyn she is today. Knowing she couldn't return, she turned her back on her Queendom with tears in her eyes.

Years later, she faced her past head on by finding an old withering Alexander. He begged for her forgiveness, being the only one to know she wasn't dead. He claimed that what he did was because he was afraid of losing her to the knight she loved so much, because he loved her.

Everyone else had died. Her father, in guilt of running her off, stopped taking care of himself. The knight, in his broken heart, died by his own hands. As for her sister, she watched her kingdom burn down to the ground with her in it.

And you wonder why she is so distant.

I don't enjoy them because I often see the Immortality used for power purposes, but you use it as a genuine part of her backstory and make it not just a boon, but a very large bane. Well used. :) Your welcome.

I have a question though. How does an over optimistic pessimist work? lolz

Meaning she makes everything sound amazingly happy, but she usually says things that are really negative.

Pretty much. Like if someone told you that there whole family died but says it so cheerfully that you almost miss it.

Lmfao I love those sort of people. So like. "OMG this candy is so amazing, oh cake is good to0, oh yeah your family died. You should try some of this it's delicious."?
