Winter have been tending to the little boy throughout the adventure , never letting his eyes wander off him and grabbing his tiny hand whenever he ventures too far from the group. "Slow down, little buddy." he would call out whenever the boy gets excited.

Summer, on the other hand, let out a surprised gasp upon hearing that Samuel won't be leaving anytime soon since he apparently moved in a couple of years ago. She wondered why her family never told her about such thing. Perhaps her parents wanted it to be a surprise and Winter was probably too busy to pick up a phone and call her- or at least that's what she convinced herself to believe.

"You won't be going away anymore?" she asked before grinning. Summer (and WInter) have always wanted to hear Samuel say that he's not going to leave anymore ever since they were little. Ash Creek is a tiny town with few people so the twins were always excited whenever holidays and breaks are coming since they know they'll get to see their friend again. "I'm so glad to hear that." she whispered genuinely as she reminisced.

"What about you? Are you back here to stay? Or are you just taking some time off from touring and stuff?

If one was keeping their eyes at Summer at the moment then they wouldn't have missed how she stiffened for the shortest of moment before she returned to her cheery attitude. "The latter although I wish I can stay here instead forever." she replied with a smile.

"Right." Winter commented sarcastically as Matthew showed the group his favorite activities in the park, "Did you get tired playing princess in the city that's why you're back now? Or did they finally get tired of seeing your face everywhere?" he added with a mocking grin.

However, his harsh attitude loosened up when Matthew came back to the group and began leading them to (Winter theorized) the bakery. "Alright, everyone, let's follow Captain Matthew." Winter began, walking a few steps ahead of the group with the little boy.

Summer awkwardly fidgeted while she remained her pace with Amelia and Samuel, "Winter was just teasing..." she covered up with a faltering smile. She looked at the ground sadly as she walked, "He's not a jerk, really.." she added before looking up to Amelia, "Are you friends with him?" she asked since she guessed that Samuel and her twin probably are.

Samuel grinned and shook his head when Summer asked would he be going away anymore "Nope. This is my home now so You're stuck with me" he answered. When she had answered his question herself he had paused for a brief moment when she had froze, his expression curious. It was short-lived as Summer offered another cheery smile.

Before Samuel had gotten a chance to answer, Winter had passed another sarcastic remark. Samuel just exhaled gently in response to that but didn't tell him off or anything. Hanging out with Winter a lot of the time had made him realise a few things about Winter and he had some what of an idea why he acted this way towards his sister. He really hoped he'd eventually just talk it out with her. After Winter had stepped forward with Matthew, Samuel finally answered "Well, even if you do have to go soon, make sure you visit lots and lots I'd love to get to hang out again."

Samuel put a hand to Summer's back and gave it a gentle pat, lowering his hand again after "I'm sure deep down he's thrilled you're back. He's still in there you know" he answered quietly in an attempt to cheer Summer up. He wasn't the best at cheering up at times but he was trying.

Amelia had quietly walking next to Sam and Summer, probably lost in thought as she was being Unintentionally silent. She had been silently watching Winter and Matthew most of the time, finding their interactions cute more than anything. Once she was addressed she blinked and looked towards the other twin "Hm?" She blinked as her hands fidgeted with her sleeve, thinking about Summer's question "Well..." She glanced towards Winter briefly before looking back to Summer to answer "He visits the clinic a lot and I see him when he hangs out with Sam so I guess we are friends" she answered with a slight smile and a nod.

Matthew
Matthew quickly made his way down the road toward the bakery. A large grin was plastered on his face as he walked quickly only slowing down when Winter pulled on his hand for the rest of the group to catch up. At one point Matthew had paused and looked back at the group, almost as if he was gonna ask them something, but quickly turned away and continued his walk forward toward the bakery.

Once they had made it to the next area, which was of course the bakery. Matthew peered inside the building through the door and windows. Looking in to see if the bakery was open yet. The thoughts of sweets raced through his mind and he almost wanted to abandon his quest of leading the girl around before looking back down the sidewalk then back to inside the bakery. Maybe a snack break was in order? Even if he had just started.

Matthew reached down into his pockets, pulling out what looked to be a dollar and some petty change. Though he didn't actually know what he had in his hand, he hadn't learned how to count money yet he tried, though it was more as if he was pretend counting and saying random numbers before coming to a fake agreement that he had enough and pulled on the bakery door.

The door opened and a little bell jingled, which in Matthew's mind meant it was open and he ran inside to the counter. He stood on his tiptoes, barely able to peer over to see if someone was there. "Hello?" Matthew called.

(The bakery may or may not be open yet... Not sure, guess it's up to NightMoves NightMoves )

Summer nodded silently at her childhood friend's words, finding comfort in them while a small smile graced her lips. The white-haired female faced the nurse, "I'm glad he has friends such as you guys." she said, "I hope we can be friends too." she added with beaming confidence.

Winter was able to confirm his earlier theory of where their captain was leading them when the little boy started peering into the bakery. He let out a huff when Matthew ran into the counter excitedly, "Good grief, kids these days." he finished with a sigh although it was followed by a knowing smirk. Summer, on the other hand, giggled at the scene which greatly reminded her of their childhood days.

The idol turned her head upwards letting her eyes trail on the sign which says 'EmiLee Bakery'. It ignited a giddy feeling in her stomach, she has always found it cute how the shop's title was the result of its owners' conjoined names. But more importantly, she felt excited knowing that its owners and their family hold a special place in her heart.

"Woah, it's been years since I've been here." she commented with a pleased smile as she looked around the familiar place.

Winter whipped his head from side to side, looking for any sign of his friend or the old man he grew attached to for years, "Yo! Matty barged in." he announced with a shrug hoping that they wouldn't mind.

Clair hurried back over to Conner after noticing he fell, mild concern washed over her face. "Ahhh you goof." She stood on her tip toes to reach up and feel his head. "I bet you're gonna get a lump there." She pulls her hand back and crosses her arms, one hand propped under her chin. "It would be nice of you to accompany me to the store. You can keep me on track." She chuckled. "And you're definitely coming to tea with me, no questions asked." She tilts her head a little looking back at his shop. "Unless you really need help here then I ca-" She cuts herself off then grumbles covering her face. "I'm doing it again." Slightly frustrated she grabs his hand and starts to pull him along, leaving her bike where it stands. "Alright lets just go."

Inside the shop Coco eyes the anxious owl, her tail swishing back and forth. She sits up and stretches then simply lays back down.

Dakota Wingfield
Inside a door located next to the rounded glass counter was a man. The sweet scent of pastries filled the bakery as they cooked in the many ovens that surrounded him. It had been a while since he had prepared anything for the bakery, but it still felt natural to him. Muscle memory had guided him through the baking process. In his childhood days, he would spend hours upon hours helping his mother and father with the shop. Those good memories ran through Dakota's mind as he swept the floors; Up until the moment he heard the little ding of a bell, signaling that someone had walked through the bakery doors.

Dakota grabbed a sheet of apple fritters that had just finished cooling, and walked through the door. "Welcome." He said in his peppiest tone, which wasn't quite peppy at all. He set the pan on one of the counter's shelves to display through the glass before standing up and looking at his customers. He could just see little Matthew trying to see over the counter, which made his heart tingle ever so slightly. Kids were such cute little things. "Hey, little fella. Would you like some sweets? They're fresh out of the oven."

He hadn't helped out in the bakery, or really even been outside, since he had come back a month ago. Getting the energy to leave the house was almost impossible, but today he decided that he needed to be a good role model for Mia. He needed to teach her that she didn't need to be afraid of the outside world, and he wanted to introduce her to everyone. The only person who had met Mia was Amelia, as Dakota had previously brought her in for a checkup on her blind eye and inability to talk.

Dakota looked at the others in the room. "Hey Winter, Amelia, Sam..." He said, trailing off as he made eye contact with Summer. Instantly, he was met with a pang of guilt. All those years ago, he had left without even telling her where he was going. When his mother died, he had just locked himself in his room for days on end, then got up and left. He never really got to say goodbye or that he lov-...

"Summer? It's...been a while." He said a little awkwardly as he looked at the woman. She looked the same, yet different at the same time. Beautiful, happy...
He looked to Winter with a slight hint of betrayal in his eyes.
"You didn't tell me she was coming back to town."

Sam gave a smile back to the girl, thankfully his words seemed to have some kind of positive impact on her, which was good. He liked to think that they'd still be good friends even if they hadn't seen each other in years. So he wanted to be able to cheer her up.

Amelia had once again became lost in her own thoughts in the mean time, her hands fiddling with a piece of her hair again. She blinked her eyes when Summer had beamed at her, telling her she wished to be friends. Once processing her words, Amelia smiled back at the girl and nodded "Yeah, I hope so too" she answered with a smile "Good. She has been here 3 months and hasn't bothered to make any friends because of work so by all means, befriend her" Samuel had spoke in a low tone towards Summer. Amelia turned to look at the two with an embarrassed expression "I can hear you, Sam." She huffed while Samuel just shrugged and smiled "I'm not wrong though, Lia" he muttered quietly with a shrug before they stepped into the bakery.

The flustered expression on Amelia's face was quick to fade as they stepped into the Bakery. For someone who was supposed to urge people to eat healthy for her job, she herself low-key had a giant sweet tooth (She may or may not eat from the lollipop jar at the clinic when she thought noone was around) Her attention had been stolen by the smell of sweet treats until Dakota had greeted the group "Ah. Morning! How's little Mia?" Amelia asked as she tore her gaze from some of the yummy pastries and directed towards Dakota, she looked between Summer and Dakota, thinking she could read some kind of awkwardness on his end but wasn't sure what it was about or maybe she imagined it? Not that it was any of her business anyway.

Samuel offered a wave as well tilting his head a little and glancing towards Winter when Dakota said Winter hadn't told him about Summer arriving, raising a brow as if to say 'did you tell anyone?'

Summer smiled gleefully at Amelia, "Maybe we should hang out sometime and get to know each other more~!" she giggled at the cousins' interaction before a familiar voice caught her attention and, possibly, the others' as well.

Winter shrugged nonchalantly while noting the look his other childhood friend gave, "Oh, I'm sorry I didn't announce to the world that my dearest twin is returning. Dreadful, I know." he dragged with severe hints of sarcasm.

Then he noticed the way Samuel was cocking an eyebrow at his way. "Well, to be fair, I never told anyone that Summer's finally coming back." he added while sending Samuel a nudge to the side as if telling him not to blab about how Winter accidentally muttered something about the event a few days ago.

Summer remained uncharacteristically silent for a moment. Her own pair of baby blue eyes dead set on another man she hasn't seen for a handful of years. Long brown hair, copper-toned skin and warm amber eyes, they all invoked a nostalgic feeling within her as her mind briefly traveled years back to reminisce childhood dreams and bitter pleas.

"Dakota.." she called out, eyes glistening with tears.

Winter squinted his eyes, "Well, to be fair, I also didn't tell her you came back last month."

The idol flew to her childhood friend's arms, giving him a tight hug. The last time they spoke with each other was ages ago a few days after Dakota's mother passed away. She remembered begging him to talk to her and come out of his room although her pleas were all in vain.

"Two people who loves to suddenly disappear and pop out of nowhere." the white-haired male commented underneath his breath, something only Amelia or Samuel could hear unless the others have a very keen hearing.

"Reunions are simply wonderful but you have a customer waiting." Winter gestured to Matthew which made Summer pull away from the hug with an embarrassed smile and a small apology.

Matthew
Matthew kept his eyes peering over the counter, a large grin on his face when Dakota appeared with the tray of tasty treats. Matthew jumped up and down a bit as he nodded his head in excitement. "Yes Please." After another second, he stopped jumping and reached his hand up to the counter, gently dropping his money onto it really hoping it was enough.

On the counter laid a dollar bill and about fifty-six cents in miscellaneous coins that Matthew had collected. Matthew Peered over the counter, looking at the coins as if he was trying to count them once again before shrugging his shoulders and moving over to the display case, looking in with wide eyes as he tried to decide what he wanted.

After a short moment of looking, he noticed the others around him speaking to each other. He became curious and looked up at Summer as she walked up to Dakota, then back to Winter a bit confused. Matthew sure didn't know the girl so how did she know anyone else in the town? The thought ran through his mind until Winter spoke up once again and Matthew quickly brought his gaze back to both Summer and Dakota. Watching as Summer backed away from their hug.

Matthew's eyes stared at Dakota for a second before he looking into the display case again and pointed to the apple fritters. "That one." He paused for no longer than a breath's moment. "Please." He quickly added the word, almost as if he could already hear his mother's voice asking him, 'What's the magic word?'

Dakota Wingfield and Mia

Ookurikara.600.2200280.jpg

"She's..." Dakota sighed for a moment, thinking about Mia. She was quite the troubled child, but at least she was now attempting to eat properly. "...doing better." He finished his sentence to Amelia after his moment of thought. Despite results showing that Mia could in fact speak, she wasn't. It was a mystery to him.

"Come on. You used to be so close." The man said in response to Winter before accepting Summer into his arms. He held her to his muscular frame with an arm around her waist and another on the back of her head. There was a time when he would have gone faint just from having Summer in his arms, but now he felt close to nothing. He was hoping he would feel warmth again, but clearly that wasn't the case.

"Sorry..." He whispered to his old crush before she pulled away from him. He felt incredibly guilty about leaving her without a word, and was actually fairly surprised she wasn't mad at him. "We should catch up, sometime. I saw you on TV sometimes. Singing, dancing. Looks pretty fun." Dakota said absentmindedly as he grabbed some tongs and used it to take the exact pastry that Matthew pointed to and put it in a small, white, paper bag.

"Paying for your own sweets? How responsible." Dakota praised the kid as he handed him his bag. It looked like the amount he was given was just the right amount, and he wondered if that was on purpose or not. "Anyone else want anything?"

With those words, a small girl walked through the bakery door. She was wearing the dress that Dakota had previously laid out for her and...no shoes. "Can't believe I forgot the shoes..." Dakota said under his breath, putting a hand to his head in response. How embarrassing.

Meanwhile, the girl felt feeling of anxiety slowly creep up her body, leaving her as a deer in headlights. She had finally gotten up the courage to go outside and search for Kody, but she now realized that she made a mistake. There were so many people here. Were they going to hurt her? Immediately, with that thought, tears began to fall from the young girl's face. "Hey, hey, hey..." Dakota said in a soothing, slightly panicked voice as he made his way over to the girl. "You're okay." He said in a soothing tone as he knelt beside the girl, wiping her tears away with his thumb.

He looked over to the group of people in his bakery. "This is Sam, Winter, Summer, Matthew, and you know Amelia. She gave you a lollipop for being good, remember?" With those words, Mia nodded as she willed her tears to stop, wiping her non-bandaged eye with one hand. "Everyone, this is Mia. Now say hi to the nice people." He said to the girl, who only waived shyly in response.

Amelia and Samuel Krauss•

Amelia nodded in understanding at Dakota's unsure answer, offering the smallest of smiles. She supposed doing fine would be a bit of a stretch to say for the young girl, Especially with the selective mutism she seemed to be exhibiting, the only reasoning she could give to Dakota was the girl was still dealing with some trauma and that in time she might decide to speak. Amelia felt a little guilty that she couldn't offer any more information or advice other than that, despite how much she had been studying up on it when she had first heard about Mia, she guessed she'd need to just keep reading up on stuff.

Amelia smiled at Summer, she guessed that the thought of having a female friend to talk to as well would be nice. "Yeah, I'd like that." She answered with a nod, although Samuel was quiet behind her she could almost sense him saying 'Too bad you don't take any time off, Lia' or something to that effect, to the point that she looked over her shoulder briefly at him only to receive a lazy grin in response, he knew that she was expecting such a comment too.

She turned her head back and watched as Summer had ran into Dakota's arms, the scene was pretty cute to her she supposed, unlike the simple, 'Its great to see you, friend' type of hug Summer and Samuel had shared earlier, this one seemed a bit more... emotional? Again...this was probably none of her business, but she had a habit of analysing people like that without meaning to.

Samuel just silently chuckled when he was nudged in the side by Winter, getting the message that he wasn't supposed to tell. "Yeah, he didn't tell me either..." He fibbed, while shooting a look to Amelia as if telling her to shut it too, since he had mentioned it to her this morning and she would definitely ask aloud without thinking if not told. He wasn't that good of a liar but he could manage one sentence, it wasn't like anyone was going to interrogate him over something like this.

Amelia's eyes had moved off of Summer and Dakota when she had overheard Winter's comments on 'two people who liked to disappear', her green gaze settling on the white haired male for a while as she frowned a little, despite his comment sounding cold and sarcastic like the ones this morning, there was hint of something else in there (atleast in Amelia's opinion) so her frown was paired with an expression of something akin to concern as opposed to disappointment like it had been earlier.

She almost piped up when Dakota had asked about anyone else wanting any of the baked treats but ended up staying silent. They all looked so good but she didn't want to give in to her sweet tooth. So she bit her tongue in asking for one.

It was then that it seemed Dakota's attention had been pulled from everyone in the group and sent towards the door, causing her eyes to follow where he had began rushing to, which was towards the frail little girl that stood in the doorway. The poor thing looked terrified, Amelia's gaze had softened as she watched her. As Mia nodded in response to remembering Amelia, Amelia bent down a little and waved gently, offering a friendly smile to the young girl "Hi Sweetie~" she said softly. Samuel didn't walk closer to the girl in fear of freaking her out so he just smiled and waved too.

Summer stared intently into Dakota's eyes, she couldn't help but notice the nagging feeling at the pit of her stomach which told her that something was off. She took a step back before using a finger to wipe away the tears which escaped her blue eyes.

A disapproving voice at the back of her head asked her why she did that.

Winter continued watching with a cocked brow. Dakota certainly grew up and matured a lot. He could remember the brunette's flustered face whenever Summer would pull the two of them into a group hug when they were kids. War changes people, he concluded with a heavy sigh.

The white-haired male watched as Dakota moved to give Matthew his orders. "Your mommy will be happy once she find out that you used the magic word." Winter gave him a small pat on the head while wearing a proud grin.

The sudden entrance of a small and young girl caught the twins' attention as they found their own blue eyes meet the smaller one's.

Summer's eyes widened at the sight while Winter scratched his cheek lightly. The latter saw Mia once when he went to get bread but it seemed like he somehow managed to scare her off since she ran away from him. He was never good with kids although Matthew might be the only exception.

The Dawn twins watched as the girl broke into tears and Dakota calmed her down. Winter stayed with Samuel, "I'm bad with kids." he whispered to the said man while Summer kept her eyes fixed on the little girl while Amelia interacted with her softly.

The idol crouched down to Mia's level although she kept her distance to avoid scaring the child. Winter tilted his head to the side, now that he thinks about it her sister and the kid showed a lot of similarity appearance-wise. Mia kind of reminded him of Summer when she was a kid except the latter would never forget to put on her shoes.

Summer did one of her silly pose in hopes that Mia would feel more comfortable around them before smiling gently, "Hello, Mia. My name is Summer Dawn." she paused to wave at her, "Look, we have the same hair color~!" she giggled before pointing at her hair.

Dakota Wingfield and Mia
Ookurikara.600.2200280.jpg

Dakota made sure to keep his hand on Mia's back as the introductions proceeded. He could feel her shaking begin to worsen as both Amelia and Summer moved to greet her, but didn't want to stop since he thought this experience would be good for her. Summer has always been one of the nicest people he had ever known, and Amelia seemed pretty nice as well. She needed to know that people were nothing to be afraid of anymore.

Mia opened her mouth as if to say something, but nothing came out. She wanted to say hello to the nice lady who helped her with her boo boos, but some nagging feeling inside her throat was stopping her. As Summer got closer, the child quickly moved to hide behind Dakota. To which he pushed her right back out from behind him. The look of pure betrayal could be seen on Mia's face before she was forced to smile at Summer's pose. What a silly girl.

She looked at Summer's hair, then at her own. They were the same! Her hair is a lot prettier than mine though... The girl thought in slight dismay. Summer's hair looked so soft, she almost wanted to touch it. Too bad she was much too scared to...

"You wanna go walk around town with these guys?" Dakota asked Mia, to which she responded with a continuous shake of her head from left to right. He sighed, well, at least he tried. With that, he stood up and went back behind the counter, scooting Mia with him. "Maybe next time then...Thanks for being so nice to her. She's had it a bit rough..." Dakota said as he looked down to the girl who was now clinging to his leg. "Don't mean to be rude but I've got to get back to baking. So...I guess I'll catch you guys later if you don't want anymore sweets." He said to the group of people, letting his eyes wander slightly on Summer for a little while longer than all the others.

Matthew
"Thank you!" Matthew smiled widely as he got his treat. He walked back over to Winter and opened the white paper bag looking inside. Without hesitation Matthew reaching into the bag and pulled out the Apple fritter, only to pause when the girl walked in "Who she?" He tilted his head to one side some. He had never seen her around town before. Taking a short moment to look at the girl and watch Dakota walk up to her, he put the apple fritter back in the bag for now. He could eat it when they get back outside.

Matthew was gonna walk up to her, but stop when he watched Summer walk up to her instead, introducing herself to the girl even if she looked scared of all of them. He wondered why she was so scared, did he do something wrong? Matthew looked up at winter with curious eyes, as if he had all the answers to the questions in his head.

When Dakota asked her if she wanted to join their adventure Matthew perked up, almost looking excited. He would never argue with another adventure joining them. Though when Mia shook her head 'no' Matthew looked at the ground some, a bit disappointed.

He watched as Mia clung to Dakota as they both made their way back behind the counter. "Bye." Matthew gave a little wave as he headed to the door to leave with his goody bag tightly in his hands. There was no time to delay! They still had a lot of the town to explore!

If the group were to still follow him, Matthew would first point down the road toward the Krauss Farm and its sign, but not actually going any further then that. Instead, he would turn and begin leading them back down the sidewalk and toward the Lamb house, turning that corner and heading toward the clinic stopping for only a short moment before continuing down the road to the library and general store.

Summer couldn't help but return the expression when the girl smiled at her pose. She was glad she did because it would have been awkward if she didn't. More importantly, she was pleased Mia didn't cry. She dislikes seeing children crying since her job revolves around making people happy.

Her smile turned into that of an understanding one when Mia declined Dakota's idea. "That's okay." she said softly, "I'll just visit lots so we can be friends and maybe braid each other's hair.." she added before standing up and returning to the group.

"Sorry for taking some of your time." Summer gave Dakota a short but polite bow, "See you!" she flashed him a beam before turning around and following Matthew and her twin who was saying something to the small boy. Sadness took over and loomed the idol's eyes as she remained unaware of Dakota's lingering look.

Winter, on the other hand, started following Matthew, "That small girl was Mia. Maybe you can visit her sometime and convince her to be apart of your adventure crew." he whispered before noticing the young one pointing at Samuel's farm. He briefly glanced towards Summer, "That's Sam's farm. Cool eh? Never expected he had it in him." he jested with a toothy grin.

Summer chuckled, "Hehe, good work on the farm, Sammy." she complimented genuinely albeit the small prior giggle.

Then they found themselves pausing a bit in front of the clinic while little Matthew thought about where to go next, "Oh, the clinic! It looks just like before." she commented, "Do you get lots of patients?" she asked the nurse with a tilt of her head although she continued following Matthew and Winter when they continued heading to the library's direction.

Samuel wasn't bad with kids as such but Mia was on a whole new level of shy that he didn't think he could handle all too well and because of that he had deliberately stayed where he was. He blinked as Winter said he was bad with kids, his lazy eyes traveling towards him with a questioning expression. "You could have fooled me with Matthew...but I get it. Me too, sorta" he commented with a slow shrug and a small laugh.

After Dakota had went back to work both Amelia and Samuel waved a goodbye and followed the rest of the 'adventure group' Stepping outside, Amelia had followed the group, walking behind Winter and next to summer as Samuel hung back for a little, mostly to call Bibek to heel (which with food involved it was proving difficult) He had been laying at the bakery door to wait on his beloved owner but was now deciding to be overly friendly to the small human with the tasty smelling bag of food, his tail wagging widely as he attempted to nudge the small boys side with his snout. Samuel watched, rolling his eyes "Bibek!" Samuel called as the dog let a low huff before galloping off to follow Samuel instead "You fat glutton" he muttered in a joking tone to the creature as he bent down to ruffle his fur.

He overheard the twins talking about his farm, causing him to raise a brow in their direction for a moment, followed with a low chuckle "Yeah, I can work when I feel like it." He answered as he shrugged his shoulders "And thanks Summer"

Amelia had once again fallen unintentionally silent as they talked about Samuel's farm, she had done this a few times, simply because she was the only one here so far that wasn't reminiscing at all, these people were all childhood friends where as the last time she had been in the village before coming to work was once when she was a toddler and she barely remembered it. Due to this she did feel a little bit like a fish out of water in that situation.

Her attention was snatched up when the stopped infront of the clinic and summer had asked about it "Oh?" She blinked "Well, uhm. Not exactly..." She answered putting a hand to her face after all, Ash Creek was so small, there wasn't all that many residents "It does get quite busy though since I have a lot of returning patients. Especially those from the Adventurers guild..." She answered, her gaze subconsciously jumping to Winter then back to Summer.

Gee and you're suppose to be the responsible one?" She giggled a little as she teased. "But we won't be gone too long, I'm sure Jim will be fine, Cocoa is the worst predator, I'd be more worried about Jim eating her." She intended for that to sound like a joke but the last bit may have contained some actual concern, if only a little.

Once they'd finally made it back to actually road and not just the dirt path Clair looked ahead and happened to notice the group walking by. She recognized most, and under other circumstances probably would've just said shouted a 'Hello' and kept along with her business. But once she noticed someone she didn't know she immediately got excited. Her hand slipped out of Conner's grasp as she ran ahead to meet them. "Hey!" She called out and waved slowing her pace as she got closer. Once within a few yards she almost completely stopped when she noticed Winter among them. As friendly as Clair is, she can be a little too boisterous for some peoples tastes. But she is also rather oblivious to when shes being possibly annoying to others. The only exception to that is Winter. Because of a few bad impressions, and Clair's huge need to please she immediately tries to correct her behavior. This though usually doesn't work well for her and may come of as incredibly awkward.

She stopped in her tracks and began walking up to them slowly, maybe too slow now. Attempting to look 'casual' her arms dropped to her sides, hands now fidgeting not knowing what to do, wide smile dropped to just a slight grin. But because of her being unsure of how to act her eyebrows slightly furrowed in concentration. Making her look increasingly uncomfortable. "Uh..Howdy everyone."

At the bulletin board outside the general store there appears to be a couple new posts.

Attention citizens of Ash Creek.
The yearly Spring festival is almost upon us. Join us in the park on spring 12 for fun activities. There will be an egg hunt starting at 11:30 with a prize for whoever collects the most eggs. Food and refreshments will be provided courtesy of the Royal Shark Inn. We are also holding the yearly spring dance. Partners will be drawn from a hat of those who wish to participate.

Spring 12 9:45am

For how small the town is now the park is large, it had what most parks usually have. A set of swings, a slide, some monkey bars. But also a large pavilion, this is where most of the town festivals were held. And on this 12th of Spring was well, the Spring festival of course. The Pavilion and usual playground equipment is decorated in pastel streamers and bouquets of early spring flowers are placed upon each of the picnic tables between trays of ice. There's a blue pick up truck currently backed up to a couple of tables. A brightly colored egg may happen to be spotted nestled into some bizarre places to those paying attention to them.

Some of the set up is still happening as a few towns people begin to arrive early. Killian sits at a table, already seeming to be irritated as he barks out demands. Sitting in his lap is Cocoa, curled up and gladly receiving a pet every once and a while. Clair is hurriedly running back and forth from the pick up to the tables, carrying different bowls and plates of food and setting them on the ice trays. The Perry's slowly make their way up to the pavilion, arm in arm.

It was a brand new day in Ash Creek. The birds were chirping happily and the spring sun warmed the twins' skins giving way for a rosy hue to emerge from their usually pale complexion.

The Dawn family was buzzing. Mayor Cedric was busying himself with making sure that the Spring Festival goes perfectly while his wife, Beth, was preparing some food along with the other Ash Creek older women. Their children were also doing their best to help out albeit the bickering.

"Oi, stop being a useless and help out with the decorations!" the white-haired male snapped at his sister who was sitting on a wooden crate with her phone in her hands. Summer jumped a little before grinning sheepishly at her phone and that was when Winter realized she was probably making another stupid vlog of hers so her fans won't forget her or something. He impatiently tapped his foot against the ground until his sister finally put her phone down.

"Hi, brother! Dad told me that you didn't put your name in the hat so I did it for you." Summer said with a sweet smile.

"You did what!?" Winter could feel a vein popping in his head, "You idiot, I hate dancing!"

"Oh my, look at the time! I should help out over there." The female said rather quickly before skipping to the direction of the monkey bars and began putting up some colorful streamers on it leaving Winter cursing by himself.

• Amelia & Samuel •

As the gentle spring breeze kept the sun pleasantly cool, it was hard not to slack off but with preparations for the spring festival in full swing, relaxing in this not to hot not too cold weather would have to wait. Not that Amelia was trying to relax anyway. She was taken here by Samuel as to be expected, because despite today being a holiday, she had insisted on working instead. The thought of having to dance she just found embarrassing, she wasn't exactly graceful at dancing in her opinion but Samuel had already signed her up and argued the point that if anyone needed medical help wouldn't it be better she was already at the pavilion? Not having an answer (and now with her excuse blown out of the water) here she was celebrating with everyone else.

Samuel, unlike his cousin, needed very little convincing to go to the spring festival, he went most years actually, even before he had moved permanently to Ash Creek and just like any other excuse Samuel had to mess around and have a bit of fun, he was all in, if he looked like a fool while dancing around then so be it, he didn't care, that was just how he was. For now he was helping out with decorations, tying up some of the pastel steamers bear the entrance of the pavilion.

Amelia had contented herself for most of the morning by helping to paint the brightly coloured eggs that were to be hidden (She wasn't hiding them obviously, just painting them), the fact she was given some kind of job to do was pleasing her to an extent even occasionally humming as she worked since she was feeling somewhat useful doing it as opposed to standing around with her hands in her pockets.

With the egg painting done how however, the job she had been given to do was dealing with balloons, which was fine with her...as long as they didn't pop whilst she worked with them...the noise always got her. She worked away tying them in little pairs to hang up, her expression only hesitant when the balloons would occasionally squeak while being tied together. Amelia praying to any deity she could think of that they didn't burst by accident or by Samuel doing it purely out of thinking it might be funny.

Spring 12 10:15am

The rest of the decorating and preparation seem to be finishing, As quite a few people have arrived and were helping out. Clair had finished helping Killian unload his truck and stood back holding Cocoa in her arms as the older man hobbled back to his truck and moved it away from the pavilion. Seeing as she was no longer needed Clair set Cocoa down and wondered to the small 'DJ' area. Which was mostly just a stereo and a couple speakers, but Mr. Perry made it very clear that he was to be the announcer for the spring festival each year so a mic was set up on the table behind the table where the stereo was placed. On top of the stereo was the hat which people were to drop their names in for the dance tonight. Next to it was a notebook and a pen. One page of the notebook had "SONG REQUESTS" written in big letters on the top and the other open page was just a scrap barely hanging on from people tearing pieces off to put in the hat. Clair smiled to herself and ripped a small piece off before scribbling her name down and dropping it in the hat. Although the dance wasn't until later that night she was already giddy with excitement. With nothing else to do Clair sat herself down at an empty table and pulled a deck of oddly patterned cards from her sweater pocket and started shuffling them.

Mr. Perry himself was also very excited for todays events. He even dressed for the occasion, wearing a flowery print suit which matched Mrs. perrys dress, presumably sewn by her. He happily walked around and greeted everyone as they arrived.
