She often wear simple dresses and a cloak, or trousers and a shirt. She carries a satchel with her everywhere, with a book of medicinal herbs that grow in the forest surrounding the village.

Elie is a very outgoing person that loves to help others. She is an apothecarist that took over her father's apothecary when she was 18. She goes out of her way to do the right thing, most of the time. She tends to be rude or tough to people that don't listen or she doesn't know, but in reality she is very kind and sweet. She doesn't have much muscle, so she can only use a dagger as of now to defend herself. She is a fast learner that is rather stubborn

Brief Backstory
Elie's mother died during childbirth, so it was just her and her father. Her father taught her how to be an apothecarist and how to help people. When her father passed away of an illness that could have been cured by a gifted healer, she took on the family buisness. She creates medicines and remedies for the people in the village, taking coin or supplies as payment. She learned how to take care of herself at a young age.

Physcial Description: Datris appears as a middle-aged woman, when in fact, she is almost a century old. Her purple eyes are like the color of lilacs, and her skin—while noticeably fair throughout her facial features—show signs of wear from having spent many years outdoors; especially her hands, which are calloused and leathery. Her faded green locks of hair are braided, and usually covered with a velvet bandana. Her wardrobe of loose-fitting tunics and vests are embroidered with the customary fashion of her people; gold trim and intricate thread work, along with a variation of white, red, and green linens. Her slacks and leather boots are plain in comparison to everything else she wears, and they are almost always covered in dirt. Her walking stick was said to have been cut from an elder tree couple; two barks from each companion, interwoven in a braided pattern much like her hair, symbolizing love, appreciation, and family. She loves to bop people on the head with it, especially if they're being rude for no apparent reason.

Personality: Datris is far from a crotchety old hen, who weighs in on the world with antiquated beliefs or prejudices. She exudes an infectious, vibrant energy that isn’t contrived for formality's sake either. She feverishly opposes the motherly role usually given to her, and will often incite mischief in spite, but mainly for her own amusement. This is the mask she wears to hide her rage for the king, a rage so strong that she has tempered it with motivations for calculated revenge.

Likes: Gardening, farming, fishing, singing, dancing, chocolate, drinking, and smoking.

Dislikes: Dry summers, a rodent she aptly named ‘The Dark Fiend’, who was a menace in her garden, longwinded conversations about nothing, cities (and other places with a lack of greenery), gaudy jewels, and any other forms of regalia that might remind her of the king.

Strengths: Determination and strong will, improvisational creativity, and secret mastery of earth/supplementary knowledge of water magic.

Weaknesses: Physicality, durability, weapons combat, and chocolate.

Brief Background: Datris hails from the Way Wandering Freefolk, a caravan tribe of the Open Valleys, best known as The People of The Traveling Arts. Before the king ruined everything, they roamed the countryside in rows of colorful carts; painters, musicians, poets, dancers, and magicians, who performed for coin, but mainly for the love of their expressive culture. It was a time of wanderlust and freedom, the best years of her life, but what soon followed would shift the dynamic of their livelihood forever. When magic became outlawed, the Way Wanderers disbanded in fear of persecution. Many of them were hunted down, killed, or in Datris' case, enslaved. She spent several years in a labor camp, forced to till poorly irrigated soil with her magic.

During these dark times, a light presented itself in the form of a human female named Itreya, who became the love of her life. Their special bond kept each other going, but Itreya eventually sacrificed herself so Datris could escape. With tears flowing and a heavy heart, Datris ran away, abandoning her beloved. She found herself deep in The Oaken Hills where an Elder Tree couple took her in. They cared for her as if she was their own sapling, doing their best at tending to her broken heart, but it wasn't enough for Datris. She returned to the labor camp to exact revenge for Itreya, and everyone else enslaved. The camp was liberated with the help of the elder tree people. Datris murdered the noble that killed her beloved, then buried Itreya's body in a beautiful garden in The Oaken Hills, and never looked back.

Datris became a drifter shortly after, roaming the kingdom like she once did as a Way Wanderer, only this time as a lone nomad. She eventually found a quaint village, and quickly became a part of their community when she discovered that they also had plans to rebel against the king. Putting her magic to use like she once did for the wicked noble, she applied it wholeheartedly to the village's farming lands, producing a bountiful harvest so no man, woman, or child ever starved. Fearing persecution once more, she kept her arcane arts a secret; chalking herself up as a lucky farmer with a powerful green thumb. The work kept her mind preoccupied, but just as she was finally accepting her loss, and moving on with this new chapter in life, sorrow found its way back into her heart. Having discovered the village's true intent, the king ordered his men to raze it to the ground. They killed and tortured as many as they could, and burned all of her plentiful crops and extravagant gardens. Once more, she fled from the oppressive monarch. She went into the mountains with the rest of the survivors filled with rage. Enough is enough. With nothing else to live for, Datris is prepared to do whatever it takes to make the king suffer a cruel fate.

Personality: Joselyn's personality is mostly a result of her actions in the war for the current king. She typically keeps to herself, only really mingling with the town proper in the marketplace, and occasionally, the bar. While she is typically courteous, she hadn't really opened up much about her past to most. Responds to rudeness with rudeness in kind. Of course, after the burning down of the village, this will likely change... but this is simply how she acted in the town. How she'll open up afterwards..? Time will tell. (Aka, personality is difficult to describe, but I've got it down in my head, sorry.)

Likes:
-Peace and quiet (Which just got ruined)

-A stiff drink
-A good fight

Dislikes:
-Killing
-The King, and his army.
-Idiots and fools, no matter their allegiance. ...including the jester variety of fool.

Strengths:
-Quite skilled with both a staff and a sword, almost supernaturally so. Trained with other weapons, but not quite as much.

-Both perceptive and dextrous, making it quite hard to catch her off guard, even capable of knocking arrows out of the air with her staff, so long as she can sense them coming in time.

-As a former veteran, and current farmer, her body is in quite good condition, and she makes sure to train to keep it that way, though she's gotten a little rusty over the past few years, it won't take her very long to get back in her stride.

-Seems to have a specialization in curing headaches and migraines, particularly for herself. ...a magical specialization, in fact, one she doesn't typically practice on anyone but herself due to the dangers involved, but due to the subtlety, she can generally get away with healing her own minor headaches. Also works wonders on hangovers, and with enough time, even helps minor concussions.


Weaknesses:
-Has nightmares almost daily, leaving her typically with not the best of sleep. And while her experience in the army can help her deal with the lack of sleep, it's still not particularly healthy and leaves her slightly more vulnerable than most to certain varieties of mental magic, particularly those involving sleep.

-Due to her actions on the side of the king, Joselyn is actually rather hesitant in her actions. After all, if she had thought she was fighting for the right side with the king, will this rebellion be any different? She is a fighter, and wants to be on the side of right, but what side, if any, is right?

Not-So-Brief Background: Daughter of a minor general who would later join in in the King's crusade, Joselyn's young life was filled with battle, preparation for it, and physical training. Her father, with no male heir, had no choice but to train his daughter, to pass on his knowledge in case of an early death, which, of course, is rather common in his line of work, whether at the blade of an enemy, or a knife in the back. Joselyn had difficulty wrapping her head around strategies and tactics, and it was clear from the beginning that she was not particularly suited to be a leader like her father, but the girl found a natural affinity for weapons, particularly that of the sword, and staff, and spent much of her time training with those. While the sword is well documented, and she could learn that easily both from soldiers and tutors, the quarterstaff, while effective, is less of a 'noble's' weapon, meaning her style for that is mostly self-taught from experience sparring with other soldiers, and later in life, from actual battles. So while her style with the sword is a mixture of documented forms and pragmatic motions, her style with her staff is more her own.

Her father was one of the first generals to ally with the king, as he disliked the power of magic, in part from his own lack of ability with it, but in part from how it tended to turn the tides of battle. Joselyn was, of course, enrolled as a basic foot soldier, claimed by her father as a way to teach her humility and empathy for those in battle, though she was allowed her own weapons, a high-quality sword, as well as a metal quarterstaff designed primarily for durability, and lightly enchanted to enhance said durability. After all, this was before the outlawing of magic, and many blacksmiths at least had a passing knowledge of enchanting their steel. While a few more skilled soldiers were placed in the same battalion to ensure her survival, what her father had not expected was for her to excel in the frontlines, her fighting skill swiftly proving itself almost legendary, staff warding off those who attacked her, whether it was knocking aside spears to leave the wielders open to attack, parrying swords with their lesser range, and even knocking arrows in the air out of her way, Joselyn grew almost as a legend among those who survived from battle to battle, as while she was not untouchable, it grew clear that felling her would be quite a task, and she swiftly became a spearhead to pierce the enemies line after the cavalry, weaving through their lines to leave enemies open to attack from those who followed her, and from the bone-shattering blows of her quarterstaff at the same time. In time, she grew to be known among the infantry, and even a few commanders, as simply "The Faultless Spearhead". While at first, Joselyn grew prouder and more egotistical with her successes, enjoying the praise and increased importance, as the battles grew fiercer, and her enemies more desperate, she began to feel as though the results of each battle were growing increasingly brutal. At first, those who surrendered were spared. Then, as time went on, only those who surrendered at the beginning of the battle were spared, those who surrendered after were branded as cowards, and executed as such. Conditions grew worse, and Joselyn felt a seed of regret planted in her heart for her actions, for those she had killed, and helped to kill. This seed blossomed as time went on, and though her skills did not falter, her motivation to continue fighting did, and during the siege on the capital... she left, disappearing into the fray, and making her way out of the capital, taking a horse and heading out as far as she could, disappearing for a few years into a remote town, the mountains surrounding it filled with mist and danger, praying it was far enough that she could remain at peace, ignoring the rumors of rebellion... but as the king's army approached, while for a time she held her ground, eventually, with her house burning around her, she had no choice but to flee into the woods...

Physcial Description: Fair-skinned and with shoulder-length brown hair and matching, Amelle doesn't particularly stand out, having no easily visible distinguishable features. She likes this, of course, as it allows her to blend in and avoid the watchful eye of those who might hunt down magic users like her. Outfit-wise, she wears a black dress with a simple poncho, both of which are surprisingly thick to make sure she rarely has to worry about the cold. In addition, she also always carries with her a rather large bag in which she carries most of her belongings, and in a hidden compartment she carries a black witches' hat. She got it from her parents, and refuses to part with it, though she rarely wears it for obvious reasons.
Personality: Having been caught right in the middle of the magic purge, Amelle's formerly cheerful personality has faded, leaving behind a quiet young woman who rarely speaks to people unless she trusts them. She lives in constant fear that she'll be found out and hunted down, and prefers to stay quiet to avoid saying anything that might reveal her capability to use magic. Not just that, but she's also developed a fear of fire, even though she excels at fire magic.

Strengths:
  • She's an excellent fire mage, excelling in the creation and control of fire.
  • She's decent at using water magic, and can create and control it, but not as much as she can with Fire.
  • She's somewhat of a Hedge Magician, and knows a little bit about Healing Magic, Plant Magic, and can summon harmless Lightwisps, floating creatures that give off light.
  • She's got an excellent sense of direction.
Weaknesses:
  • She's scared of fire. Controlled fires (fireplaces, campfires, etc.) scare her, tiny controlled fires (candles, torches, etc.) she's fine with but a bit uncomfortable around, while uncontrolled fires (Burning Buildings, Forest Fires, etc) and massive fires (Witch-burning firepits, etc.) terrify her and cause her to freeze up.
  • She's rather paranoid around strangers, and is slow to warm up to new people.
Brief Background:
Born to a family of mages back when magic was still allowed, Amelle grew up learning magic alongside other basic parts of life. She lived her life peacefully, the youngest of three, dreaming of becoming a famous mage.

This all changed when the magic purge began. Almost overnight, Amelle's peaceful life was burned to the ground; literally. The only thing that saved her was the fact that she would often sneak out at night to watch the stars, meaning that she was outside when her home was set ablaze. Her efforts to safe her siblings and parents that night were futile, and the events of that day have left her mentally scarred.

Ever since, she has been travelling, avoiding big cities, trying to live incognito, avoiding suspicion, and barely managing to scrape by. She eventually found a remote village to settle down in, one where she could hopefully live out her days peacefully.

Much like her dream of growing up as a famous mage, the dream of living peacefully was burned down as well.

With the burning of the village, Amelle has developed a fear of fire, and a belief that she's cursed. But beyond that, a fire still burns deep inside her, it burns hotter than the fires that burnt down her dreams; a burning desire for revenge.

Full Name: Ulrich Deveraux

Occupation/Role: Alchemist

Physical Description: Ulrich is tall and lean. While he isn't the bulkiest of fellows, his body is defined, being extremely athletic. The most interesting part of his features being the long scar that stretches from his nose down the length of his cheek to his neck. However, his looks are quite peculiar, from the lengthy, unkempt, white hair to his light grey eyes, he is noticeable among most, even though at times he would rather not. He usually wears different sets of tunics and simple clothing, apart from the light armour he had found upon the dead body of a soldier in the mountains, in which Ulrich happily stripped it off of him. "One man's loss is another one's gain!" Ulrich would say proudly about the discovery.

Personality: Although times have been rough, Ulrich carries an infectious spirit, one shown through his bright grins and playful attitude. Being quite the social butterfly, Ulrich cares about establishing relationships with people, understanding the advantages they could come with, even just enjoying the company of others. As energetic, hyper, and talkative as Ulrich can be, he isn't dumb, having a heavily talented mind. Even in the face of danger, it wouldn't be crazy to believe that Ulrich has a smile plastered upon his face, simply enjoying the thrill of any moment. Pairing that with a scrappy and defensive attitude at times, Ulrich can be labelled as wild. However, under all of that, lies a pained individual, one filled with grief over the death of his family, one filled with the despair of believing he is alone, one filled with the hope that it can all be better one day...a day he is willing to fight for, no matter the consequence.

- Nomadic tendencies allow for him to grasp the layout of the lands well, namely caves, forests, and mountains.
- Great eyesight, in which he uses to find resources he could use later on.

Is not a skilled fighter in any sense, his fighting being very erratic and loose, a grand lack of technique.
- Very stubborn, can frequently get himself into trouble or bad situations. No hesitation or cautious actions.

- Too emotionally charged, his emotions win over logic at times.

Background:
The son of the famed alchemist Zenorak Deveraux, Ulrich had aided his father in his work, learning simple alchemy and chemistry at the age of seven. As he grew older, the young man became quite fond of experimenting, swiftly using different combinations to create new potions, explosives, and creations never seen before. His father with his son's help became prominent, leading to him being brought in by the New King to overthrow the previous one. Ulrich and his father worked constantly, being in charge of making explosives, homunculus, and the transmutation of items to make them stronger than ever, hoping to help this King get an edge in his revolution. Soon enough, the revolt had succeeded, a new king taking the throne for himself.

However, this all changed quickly. In this new king's reign, he outlawed magic, alchemy barely falling under this category. The very night of this proclamation, the doors to Ulrich's home in the grand city of the kingdom were kicked in by soldiers of the tyrant, who decapitated his father before him, before moving on to kill the rest of his family. Ulrich had other plans, arming himself with a dagger to fight back, managing to wound one of the soldiers with a stab to the neck. From there, another soldier was able to disarm the young man, landing a swift slice that grazed the face of Urich, leaving him with the scar that he has today. In a last ditch effort to protect himself, Ulrich ignites his own home on fire, arming the many explosives and dangerous concoctions that laid in the attic. Ulrich made a break from his home, sprinting outward, tears lining his eyes as his house exploded, taking out the soldiers inside, but the bodies of his family, his possessions, and his work. All he had left was his bag and notebook, in which most of his discoveries, combinations, and theories were written, the only remnant of his once happy life remaining.

From there, the young man set off into nature, living off of the world, avoiding the many large cities and towns where he knew he could be killed. Ulrich surviving by foraging, gathering important resources, and continuing his life's work, in reality the wilderness having more accessible materials than home. As much as he tried, he couldn't avoid the thought of being involved with other people once again. He settled on the outskirts of this village he found, observing the life and people that made up this area. People on occasion would come over to his small camp on the outskirts, seeking a specific item or elixir to satisfy their needs. One day, two of the people that had came over were whispering about rumours...rumours of rebellion! This idea excited Ulrich, who would've been prepared to help this rebellion, until the king took action. It was the dead of night, when Ulrich could see the flames arise from the village. He sprung into action, packing up to head off into the town. Armed with a dagger, crude bombs, potion bottles, and his will to live, he charged head on into the town. He attempted to throw bombs among the troops heading into the town, but with so many villagers in the mix, it was too risky. Ulrich focused on splashing certain potions that could hopefully contain some of the fires, but again, there was too much. It was hopeless.....

For the second time in his life, he ran away, aiming straight for the mountains he had came from, the only thing on his mind being the emotions that were reminiscent of the night he lost his family.

Full Name: Darius "The Wolf" Vul

Occupation/Role: Warrior

Physical Description: Darius is a large and imposing man. He holds an endomorph physique that, while not as defined as most other men as actively trained as he, is still considerably muscular. His arms, legs, and the front part of his body is littered with scars, while his face remains untouched by such damage with the exception of a scar over his left eye.

Personality:
Describing Darius would be difficult as the man is known more for his prowess as a warrior and his great knack for violence. On the surface, he is callous, cold, obedient, and ruthless. He will rarely speak unless spoken too and will not hesitate to let someone know when they're bothering him, which everyone can be sure they are when he's not 'on the clock'. Because of his short temper, aggressive behavior, and his large size, Darius has earned himself many nicknames, the two most popular being: Dog and Giant. The former only being used by his superiors.

Below the surface, Darius is a smart, patient, and calculating person. He has a personal sense of honor but understands the importance of self-control when that honor is challenged by a situation he can't control or sway. Not to say he is opposed to cutting the head off of someone, but if it were up to him he wouldn't do it over something as simple as being magically capable. Though a lifetime of various forms of ridicule and abuse, mostly verbal and emotional due to his physical capabilities, has left him a quiet and relatively grumpy man.

Brief Background:
Darius was born in the northern and coldest parts of the kingdom. Not much is known about him before he was personally sought out and employed to assist in a crazed nobleman's plan to take over the kingdom. After the throne was successfully secured by the new king, Darius and the other warriors of the king systematically massacred all magic users, hybrids, and magic creatures. Despite his work and unwavering loyalty to the orders of his superiors, because of his size and his tribal heritage, he was treated with a certain amount of contempt and was referred to as 'Giant'. Regardless of him being human and having no connection to magic, he was never treated as an equal by his commanders and king. By the time of the mention of the 'rebellion' in the mountains, Darius had earned himself a reputation that made most men fear the very mention of his name and nickname.

Physical Description:
She stands just above average height, her figure curved but still firm; a testament to her active lifestyle. Her surprisingly unblemished skin is fair and stands in stark contrast to the long mane of raven tresses that fall to her back. Her eyes are a shade of blue that seem to shift with her mood an mimic the sky. Her nose is straight and coming to a delicate point just above full lips that curve up slightly at the corners giving her the appearance of a natural smile. Fortunately for her her elven heritage is more subtly displayed. While lacking their elongated ears hers come to a slight point easily hidden by her hair. Her otherwise human appearance is lightly touched with elven otherworldliness, giving her a fairness and symmetry less common to, but not unheard of in, humans.

Personality:
Fianna tries her best to be kind when faced with life's ugliness. She understands that pain and hurt are part of life but sees it as her role to alleviate the worst of those whenever possible, particularly when those suffering cannot help themselves. Those that live in concert with nature and are careful to never take more than necessary find an ally while those that extort and abuse the gifts of the natural world find fierce opposition. She, is at the same time, both carefree and grounded; handling the ills of others and the protection of wild spaces with the utmost seriousness and scorning the more mundane worries and concerns that burden others.

Brief-ish Background:
Most of what Fianna knows of the world was learned second hand. Her mother being the sole healer for many villages saw no end of visitors, each bearing not only their ills but also word from the world outside their woods. To her young ears the news was all the same, most spoke of local gossip and happenings to the exclusion of all else while some unfamiliar, but nonetheless welcome, faces arrived with tales of battle and flame from some far off village or city she'd never heard of. For years it was much of the same, as her skills revealed themselves she was taken under her mother's wing and taught to hone her gifts. Before long they were, together, using their talents to aid those in need. But, as things do, they changed. Slowly at first, the familiar faces and familiar talks of local matters dwindled only to be replaced with more unfamiliar faces bearing news of battle and flame from much closer towns and villages.
Fi thought little of news and even less of the change. In her mind the life she shared with her mother was idyllic. Countless days spent walking the woods and gathering herbs were occasionally interrupted with visitors. Sadly, it was on one such day that it all changed. While Fianna was herb gathering visitors no mage ever wanted to see darkened their door. Ones seeking to inflict harm rather than be healed. Her mother's death rippled through the sky and earth throughout the forest. Healing plants withered to be replaced with poisonous ones, berry bushes became thorny brambles and the calm clear summer sky filled with thunderclouds and rushing winds that battered the soldiers and small blazing hut where the two witches once practiced their peaceful art. Fi could feel it as it happened a sudden flash of pain and would have run back to her own death had she not heard her mother's voice carried on the winds to her ears bearing one single command, "Run...". It was with that single terrible word echoing in her ears that she did as she was told and she's been running ever since.

Physical Description: Mars is a young man of fairly average build, without any real distinguishing features of any kind. Due to this, he is able to blend in well with most crowds and can avoid drawing attention to himself fairly easily. The only thing notable of his appearance are his cold almost "dead" eyes which seem to stare blankly through people that he is facing.
Personality: To say that it is difficult to understand Mars would be a complete understatement, as it is nearly impossible to understand what he is thinking or feeling at a glance, let alone being able to gain any context clues through facial expressions or any other form of tells. While the young man doesn't speak often, his voice is monotone with little to no variation, speaking very matter-of-factually as he either doesn't understand or doesn't have the time for sarcasm.

The main thing that separates Mars from many others is his unwillingness to think for himself, doing much better when he is told what to do rather than making a decision for himself. Following orders to a T and putting his life in the hands of others who may not care for him at all. With this lack of agency though, comes a level of patience that many cannot understand and a consistency in action that nary a soul can mimic.

Brief Background: Mars does not recall much of his life, only remembering a few snippets of his dairly routine or some notable events regarding the people around him, but never of his own life. He was born to an extremely impoverished family who were stretching themselves thin trying to get by, barely scrounging up money for when it was time to pay taxes and were hardly capable of affording food. From when he was young, the boy had dealt with malnutrition and guardians who did not care for him, causing the young boy to conclude that the only way to live a peaceful day was to remain quiet. To do as he was told, to not question. These lessons were burned into his head for many years, to the point where he had grown into an unfeeling automaton. Simply going through the motions and doing as he was told.

One day, Mars' parents used him as payment to clear themselves of debt, leaving him to be taken in by a blacksmith who had needed extra help in his shop. For a time, things had been somewhat normal, with him picking up the skills of the trade as well as a vast array of knowledge on different kinds of weapons and armor. Through various hunting trips with his master, Mars had become a capable hunter himself, always showing no mercy to the prey that had been caught by him or his master. With his master giving him the title of "The Unfeeling" to showcase this trait of his to the world. Or at least... what would be left of it after all of this.

Physical Description: Cameron stands at 5' 8" with lightly tanned skin and a brilliant smile. His auburn locks are swept to the left with a few strands always falling over his face. He has lime green eyes that have a mischievous glimmer within them. There is a mole just under his right eye. His ears are pierced with silver studs and he wears about three rings on his right hand, and he is left-handed. He wears the average clothes for a commoner - dirty and ragged - and he doesn't seem to wear any shoes. Strapped across his chest is a burlap sack filled with metal things, always making a sound.

Personality: Cameron is rather simple. He is a happy man by default and friendly most often than not. He likes to drink and be merry, and tends to be the optimist of the group. Truth is, he really is just like that, always happy, cocky, and playing games with other people. Though it seems like he can't hold his liquor due to his body, I can assure you that he can drink plenty of men underneath the table.

Brief Background:
When Cameron was young, his family were nothing but beggars and he a stealing urchin. He learned to steal well and his parents and friends taught him the ways of the dagger and streets. But he used to love the idea of magic and it's users. To him, they were so unique and interesting. But when the current king wiped the magic out, he felt empty. He thought it was wrong to kill all of those people, so he did anything he could to save them, including joining the rebellion.

Could you specify how your character is different than an Apothecarist? Does she only gather the herbs? If you could clear that, that would be awesome!

Physcial Description: A small bodied, sleek and petite young woman. Juniper has fair white skin, which is lately turning more tanned from more exposure to sun light as she became nomadic to avoid being caught. She has caramel brown eyes and long blond hair down to her waist , like a field of wheat in the sun. She prefers to wear lighter and more dexterous clothing like shirts and trousers and her favorite leather boots. Juniper bears several scars on her back from close call encounter with the king's military. Juniper has shapeshifting magic that allows her to shapeshift into 3 different species of birds as follow.

Beautiful, crimson red insectivorous bird with long beak and sharp wings. Nimble, fast and good looking, it's Jun's favorite form and she often shifts to this form for traveling and avoid being noticed by her enemy. She may just transforms for the sake of it.

A medium size bird with brown and white plumage. Eagle form is a powerful, flying predator. Jun shifts into this form for another choice of traveling through thermal rift which takes less energy but is slower than the swift flying bee-eater form. This form is also suitable for hunting small games and dispatching hounds sent by the enemies to track for her hideout.

Hawkstrider is the large powerhouse in all of Jun's forms. It's a flightless bird standing as tall as a man, with long legs armed with sharp talon, and razor-liked beak. While it can't fly, it can run as fast as a deer. Jun uses this form specifically to fight off her opponent, using raw strength and agility. It's also good for traveling on foot when flight isn't available option.

Personality: Juniper is very cheerful and optimistic person. Always trying to bright up the environment around herself and other people. She likes to meet new friends and goes out for adventure. After being branded as wanted and hunted, she is trying her best to keep herself true to what she used to be. Over the year of life on constant move, she has become tougher and harsher in the order to survive the unforgiving land, still she remains very friendly to whoever being nice and supportive to her. On the other hand, she can be a bit harsh and unforgiving to her enemy, often teases them and insults them when they fail to defeat her. She will also not hesitate to fight to protect herself or someone she cares about. Jun may sometimes has her weak moment, since deep down she is still traumatized by what happened in her past and that she fears she may never find peace again.

Brief Background:
Juniper was born in a quite wealthy merchant family, once resided in the capital city. She lived a happy life with her beloved parents and many of her relatives in the big city. Since when she was five, she had begun to show sight of magic within her and eventually be able to shapeshift into birds. Her parents were very surprised, but none the less were content with this ability their daughter had gained. Once the kingdom was taken over and magic was being purged from the land. Juniper was to be taken away, possibly to be culled just like any other magical being. Her family tried to protect her, resulting in all of them being slain, only Jun was able to escape. She since has fled from place to place, escaping from the grasp of the King who declared a crusade against all magic. Over time, Jun had learnt to live by herself. She set out to learn about the world, avoiding her enemies and perhaps a way to put an end to them, so that she may find peace in her life once again.

Solid, that’s the term best used to describe him, wide shoulders, powerful arms and legs and a face that shows every one of his 45 years.
A crooked nose broken one too many times, a vertical scar above his left eye from forehead down to his brow slicing down through his eyebrow and numerous faded scars.
Grey hair, short on top to go under a helmet, grey beard, blue eyes.

Personality:
He was always a father figure to his men, trying to lead by example, to make them better soldiers, better men.
Happy with a dry wit and gently sarcastic, a keen observer of people.

Since the news from home though his demeanour can best be described as grim, no time for the banter of young soldiers. Prone to dark moods he is quick to anger and everything annoys and irritates him, though he doesn’t know why.

The death of his family and the resulting dislike/hatred of the king and what is forcing his army to do has left a huge hole in his life. Though he doesn’t know it he needs something or someone to believe in

Baradour was a soldier, he was a good soldier, he went where he was ordered, he fought those who opposed him and killed those he was ordered to. Life was simple in the army, you did what you were told, went where you were ordered and in exchange you got your pay and at least 2 largely edible meals a day. Simple.

He wasn’t an ambitious man, he wasn’t after power or influence. He’d ended up as a sarjent leading a squad of 10 due to his effectiveness, almost by accident.

Baradour you see, had a plan. Serve his time, live through the battles and take his hard earned pay back to his family in the lowlands near the mountains. Meg and the kids were waiting for him and while it had been 8 years since he’d seen them and that was all he cared about.

Until the day it all changed.


News from home was as rare as hens teeth, the king had his network of couriers spanning the kingdom but for everyone else if they were lucky space on a traders wagon or supply run could be found. Malketh Leon had a wagon and was one of the many traders who earned their money following the kings troops. He also happened to come from Baradours small town and knew his family, he was happy to take Baradours pay and gifts back home to them and for a fee brought news back in return.

There had been an outbreak of been black lung fever in the town, rare but it happened, normally the healers could help those suffers with a simple spell but since they’d been driven out and hunted down there was no one to help. Meg and the children had fallen to the illness, Malketh had refused to give him details but Baradour has nightmares imagining them dying alone without him.

He was refused leave to return home, there was always one more bandit group to hunt down, another village refusing their taxes or enemies to kill.

Baradour though can no longer see the point, what are they fighting for ? Was there really a conspiracy of mages ? a hidden cabal of sorcerers trying to control everyone ? He was certain Old Fran, the healer back home was no evil witch - she’d had to flee when the law was passed rather than be hunted down.

He’d taken pride in being a good soldier, you followed orders, there was a rule for everyting, you had structure.
You knew what you did was right as your officers told you it was so, and they were so told by the King so it had to be true…didn’t it ?

Physical Description: Vito is a trim muscular fellow. Black eyes turn green when using magic. A couple of battle scars on his chest and left arm. short black hair in the front but is longer in the back he keeps it tied up.


Personality: Vito is usually a chipper and quick-witted guy on most days. He sometimes drops it when he works at a job for a more business-like tone. But it pops out more than he would like especially around people he knows. He will half the time laughs it off when someone brings up his family name, but he wears it with pride. While being strict on himself more than anyone else. More often than not he will try to help out those he trusts. But no matter what he always follows the rules he made for himself.

+Very proficient with polearms and javelinas. He's good with others but he's not the best either.

+Magical Charisma: he can make people and some other things slightly better but it only works as long as he is around. Any effect he had on anything wears off soon after. Most people won't even know it's happening to them, but a good enough magic use can or someone experienced enough can.
. giving the boost of strength to finish a race. Helping them recover from an injury faster. The people he uses it on will hardly notice it.
The only way to know he's using it is to watch the color of his eyes. Usually saves stronger effects for himself.

Brief Background:
Vito grew up in an established family of knights that were loyal to its country. His father fell in love with a witch adventurer. His mother could use magic but it was so weak she could hide it by covering her face. Vito's parents were strict about him on his training, especially when he showed signs of being magical. Afterward, they told him of the incident where all magical beings were to be slaughtered in which his father took part in. Once he heard it, Vito became determined not relie on his magic. When he could his father had him join the army. In which he did extremely well. Believing what he was doing was good for the kingdom. But on occasion, his mother would take him on a quest which he had a lot of fun on. She sometimes asked him if he wanted to learn more ways to utilize his magic but he refused. Only wanting to focus on his knight training and get along with the rest of his family. As he goes adventuring to hone his skills and gain more world knowledge.

Physcial Description: Jack cuts a lean figure for his height, sporting a wiry body framed by long, lanky limbs. He gives the appearance of being a layabout, lacking the musclature indicative of manual labour. His hair is often unkempt, slicked back over his forehead at best. His grin is a little crooked and the slant of his eyes make him seem a little unreliable. His chin juts forward a little and his nose is a little large, but overall Jack's face is fairly typical of the peasantry; neither appealingly handsome nor appallingly bad.

Personality: To put it simply, Jack is a compulsive liar. He sprinkles white lies and exaggerations into every conversation, regardless of who he talks to. To his credit he will never lie about something that matters, although which topics matter and which don't is something no one but Jack really knows. He's the kind of person who talks a lot and says little, but when pressed he is surprisingly candid for someone so dishonest. He sprinkles in truth every now and then which makes it difficult for others to tell when he's being really honest. Nevertheless, those that know him understand that he can be very reliable in the right situation, and Jack considers himself to be a good person. Or at least, he wants to be a good person. Others may find that hard to believe, but he has never cared much for what others think of him.

Strengths: Jack is quick talker and can run quite fast. Due to his past he has good intuition, and he can use his meager magic to make him a bit faster than everyone else. His main strength is his ability to run long distances, being able to run for hours at a time. Additionally, With his intuition for danger and his common appearance, he can easily disappear into a crowd. These traits make him the perfect courier when subtlety is required.

Weaknesses: Jack is almost completely inept when it comes to fighting. He has a decent kick and can give a good stab when the enemy is distracted but is otherwise completely incapable of defending himself. He can read and write but not well, and his compulsive lying makes it difficult to get others to trust him.

Brief Background: Jack began his life as many do, in a small country village with nothing in it. As a child he had always dreamt of going to the big city and making his fortune, and as a teenager, he got that opportunity. Unfortunately, it wasn't all that he thought it would be. Jack was quickly scammed out of his belongings and resorted to borrowing money. When that fell through he was suddenly thrust into a life of organised crime. He had always had a talent to run a bit faster than others and now he was forced to use it to the fullest. Anything that involved running he did, and he slowly made a name for himself in the criminal underworld of the capitol. Soon enough, however, the king came and changed everything.

Jack ran when the troops breached the Capitol. He hid in the back of a merchant caravan, watching the city as it fell to chaos. Jack made his way towards his home village, hoping to wait out the revolution, but when he got there, he found it burnt to the ground. With nowhere to go Jack began wandering and ended up at the village. From there he found out about the rebellion and quietly joined them. Now he delivers packages and letters for the rebellion so that he can help their efforts to overthrow the king.
