Piotr Nevalle, The Rabblerouser
Piotr knows that he's doing the right thing. In his twenty-seven years, he's seen some very strange things, and he's come to the pragmatic conclusion that most of them were bloody dangerous and not worth having around. A deciding influence on this is what he saw three years ago, when he personally witnessed the Inquisition rolling through to put down the terrifying offspring of a magus run amok. Piotr realised the truth about monsters: the worst ones are those which look human.
Ever since, Piotr has compulsively studied and read up on everything that he can, signed his name on as local volunteer militia should the Inquisition come through again, learned about the Infernal Scions and the bloodlines of the magi, and has bitterly, reluctantly accepted the truth. Humanity is ruled by monsters. The history of his people has been hijacked by demons wearing mortal flesh, human soldiers protect them, human builders raise their fortresses, humans serve them food and (he suspects) become their food, behind closed doors.
But there is hope. Piotr has a secret, you see. One of the junior Inquisitors fell fighting the fiends, and Piotr found his body. Even now, humanity has the tools to unmask the monsters, to show them for what they are, and one of those tools is in his hands.
Piotr is actually rather handsome. He's wiry and lean, with clean features topped by a mop of blond hair. He's generally earnest, but has a noted inability to let arguments go, and tends to pursue things to the bitter end. On the plus side, if (having pursued them to the bitter end) he can be proven wrong, he'll generally admit it with good grace.
He does decent carpentry work. Nothing fancy, but he'll always be happy to fix your old stool, re-hang your door or put a new handle on your axe.

A Sigillium Sanguis. The Sigillium is a small amulet composed a wooden ring studded with eleven tiny gemstones, and suspended in the centre a glass cylinder with a needle protruding from the bottom. By taking a sample of blood, the Sigillium will glow and indicate if the subject is a Magus or Demonically tainted.
