"What do you mean?", Anna paused, and then realized, "I mean, Jack's got the spino, and he's building a wall, so he's alright. And we're bringing the raptors."

 

[Silverwings]

"Yea, but they are flying creatures, but what if there's something else that overwhelms us? That leave Jack alone." Vera replied.

 

[Darkling0096]

Anna thought for a moment, "If you want to stay and keep him company you can." She shrugged, "But we're not gonna be any safer if there's lethal dinos we can obtain that aren't under our control."

 

[Silverwings]

Vera thought for a moment before nodding and grabbing the supplies she would need, "Lets go then."

 

[Darkling0096]

Anna got on Occisor, whistling for Thunder to follow. "Jack, you gonna be okay?"

"Yeah, just encumbered right now." jack shrugged, "I'm fine."

"Sweet." Anna turned Occisor down to the slope and led the charge down the slope and around towards where they'd seen the birds.

 

[Silverwings]

"Are you sure you don't need help?" Vera asked. Roan stood at the top of the slope, waiting for Vera, leading the other raptors that Vera wasn't currently on.

"I'll be fine, as long as a rex doesn't come down from the mountain," Jack smiled, "Go have fun, hopefully the wall will be up and ready and we'll be a bit safer."

 

[Silverwings]

"Good luck," she said before joining him. They raced after Anna, "Lets get a bird!"

Anna whooped as they traveled down the beach. There were a couple odd raptors down there, but they were able to outrun, or Thunder and Gaia were eager to eat, them. It actually wasn't until they started to feel a nip in the air that they encountered much predator-wise. And then they encountered a brawl between predators. A cluster of sabercats, a rex, and at least three argentavises were ganging up on and fighting over who got to eat a small group of stegosauruses they'd cornered on the beach.

"That's a lot of nope."

 

[Silverwings]

"That... looks terrifying." Roan commented. Vera nodded, "Its cold here."

"Its not that bad," Roan replied, looking over. For him it was still comfortable. Vera looked at him like he had grown two heads, "Are you kidding?"

 

[Darkling0096]

"It's more comfortable than on the hot beaches," Anna shrugged, "if a bit nippy." She looked around on occisors back, pointing at a large boulder, "We might be able to scale that and use it for safety while we plan our next move."

 

[Silverwings]

Roan nodded, making his way to the boulder and scaling it. He looked around, "Birds... Mammoths, and looks like more of those sabertooth tigers."

Likewise Anna, Vera, and the raptors got up on the boulder. The rock was more like a massive jagged spike, but it had enough gentle slopes that beings as small as the survivors could get up with little difficulty, and considering the position anything trying to get to them would have trouble. It seemed only the sabers in the area would be able to climb, and the argentavis from above. By now the result of the squabble between the argentavises, sabers, and rex had been resolved, leaving the argy's a bounty of corpses to feed on and recover from their fight.

"It looks like those argy's don't really care that we're here," Anna noted, looking around, "They might leave us alone until we bother them."

 

[Silverwings]

"For now, for all we know they're just distracted," Roan replied, "But we can hope."

 

[Darkling0096]

"Well we came here to get one," Anna said, looking around, "But there's three over there and we might not be able to take them all down." She glanced towards the mammoths and then around at some of the sabers moving around, "Do we wanna try our luck or go for something safer?"

 

[Silverwings]

"If my input is any help, no matter what we do here, we have to deal with everything else in the area," Vera commented, earning a nod, "Thats a good point. Even if we knock one of these beasts out, there's so many other creatures around that might attack."

 

[Darkling0096]

"Right, but if we can lure it away from the really dangerous stuff," Anna pointed to the areas where they could see sabers prowling around, "Then having the raptors on point should be able to keep most ground-based stuff away from us until we can get a new ally in the works." As she was saying that, the mammoths they could see were trying to get at some berry bushes, but were stopped by the trees in their way. So the mammoths reared up and pushed the trees over, which then vanished like when they chopped down trees. "Jack said something about a dino for wood, right?"

 

[Silverwings]

"Oh we need one of those," Roan said, "OK, Anna, your plan, what shoukd we do?"

 

[Darkling0096]

Anna thought for a moment. "Either way, to get to the mammoth, we've gotta go through the sabers," she gestured to where the sabers were runnign around, "A couple of us could try and chicken them into the path of something bigger." She gestured to the argentavises. "Maybe those birds. The other could use their raptor to lure a mammoth further down the beach." She looked at herself, Vera, and Roan, "If Vera and I work on chickening the sabers with Occisor and Cherry, then Roan can herd a mammoth with the other raptors."

 

[Silverwings]

"Right, let's-"

"Just a comment, how are we gonna herd the mammoth because they are big and seems like they fight back. Hitting one might get us attacked," Vera said, interrupting Roan.

 

[Darkling0096]

Anna nodded, "If it become hostile, then that makes life easier," Anna nodded, "As long as Cicero can outrun that thing," she pointed out a path down the beach, "And you can keep it pissed at you, you'll be able to get it to where it's away from all the other stuff, and then shove it so full of tranq arrows it collapses, we'll figure out what to do from there."

 

[Silverwings]

"Youre the boss," Roan said, "When you guys are ready."

Anna nodded and climbed onto Occisor. "Thunder, go with Roan," she instructed her second raptor. When Vera was on her mount and gave the same command to her second raptor, she led the way down the rock to get the attention of sabers, giving Roan time to prepare before he himself left the giant boulder.

 

[Silverwings]

Roan watched, waiting as the girls lead all the predators away from where he needed to go. He mentally wished them luck before taking off with the other raptors. Instead of attacking with the raptors to get the beasts attention, he shot it with tranqs, knowing it wouldn't go down fast.

 

[Darkling0096]

The sabers were easy to get the attention of for Anna and Vera, and true to form the raptors were quick and nimble enough to evade them, but not to outrun them, and the sabers were gaining on them. "Shit shit shit!" Anna waved her torch around to scatter the argies as they sped through which quickly dove back down on the disturbance, which by the time the birds got back down there were sabercats where the raptors had been and Anna and Vera were treading water in the ocean with Occisor and Cherry and trying to circle around and get out of dodge to get back to Roan.

Over by the mammoths, Roan had succeeded in angering one, which was more than slow enough to be outrun by Cicero, so the hard part was keeping it's attention, as it would only follow for a short distance before turning around, thinking it had driven off the threat.
