Futuristic ARK: Survival of the Fittest (Closed)

"he's probably not," Anna gestured to the spino, "If that thing wakes up we probably can't run fast enough."

"Let's hope it doesn't wake up until it's tamed." Roan added.

"Dear god," Vera groaned, "Well, Anna you might have a chance getting away since you're on Dummy."

"I don't know," Anna looked down at Dummy, "He's not very fast, he's just strong."

"I think means while it's distracted by us," Roan commented, "You know... live bait."

"Maybe," Roan said, "You could probably survive a good while."

"I can't walk, so I can't hunt or gather," Anna shook her head, "Dummy won't be around or able to carry me forever."

"Your leg will eventually heal, Dummy can gather for you." Vera said with a shrug, "Its possible you would be fine."

Anna rolled her eyes, that wasn't getting through like it was supposed to. "Whatever." Slowly the spino's taming bar was going up. This thing took forever to get hungry enough to eat a piece of meat.

Jack eventually returned with gifts, bringing caffeine in the form of Stimulant and sleep in the form of narcotics. "Here you go," he distributed his labors to the group, "Anna, maybe if you tried some narcoberries the sedative would help with the pain."

"He actually has a really good point. You could sleep through the pain," Vera agreed.

Anna crossed her arms and looked away. She wasn't fooling anyone when she reached for her waterskin as she tried to discreetly give that a shot.

"Anyway," Jack whistled for Hardhead to get off of the gate, "Damn duck was supposed to follow me but he got stuck." He rolled his eyes and went to go free the parasaur manually.

"Maybe you should lay down if you do so you don't fall," Roan said as he watched Anna. Vera giggled, "Not the smartest, huh?"

"Shut up," Anna grumbled. It didn't take long for the effects of narcoberries to become visible though as she was having a hard time staying up in the saddle.

"Seriously, lay down, it's gonna hurt a lot worse if you fall," Jack cautioned.

Roan got up, moving to help her down, "Come on. We don't want you getting hurt worse."

"No, I'm fine, ya see?", she was starting to slur her words, she was not fine, nor was she able to effectively resist as Roan took her down. The berries had her in dreamland before Roan even got her down from the parasaur.

"Crap," Jack sighed.

Roan carried her and laid her by where they were sitting, "Let her rest there. We can keep an eye on her."

"We might as well get a look at that leg while she's unconscious," Jack sighed and got up from his chair to see what he could find on Anna's swollen leg.

Vera nodded and moved to quickly feed the dino narcotics again before returning. She looked at the leg and gently touched the two feeling the bones, "It's broken but i think we can fix it."

"Broken pretty bad by the feel," Jack agreed, "Like flint shards in your steak. Don't ask how I know what that's like." He squatted on his heels to think about how they should go about this, "I don't know how to fix bones, what about you two?"

"I don't know how I know.. But.. We should be able to extend and move the bones to put them back together," Vera said. She really didn't know how she knew that. Like a little voice that was telling her what to do.

"Extend... what like stretch?" Jack put his fists together and pulled them apart like he was stretching a length of rope.

Vera nodded a bit, "Kind of, yea. I'll do it if you can hold her upper leg still."

"Okay," Jack nodded and knelt down, knees keeping one leg from spazzing out while they did this and both hands gripping Anna's upper thigh on her broken leg to hold it down. "Her leg is really soft where it's not about to pop," he observed.

"That's because it's her thigh. They're just muscle so when its not in use its soft." Roan said, bitter at the sight of anyone possibly hurting Anna. Vera held the shin, pulling it away from the knee and maneuvering it until she could feel the bones laying together, "There."

Anna's leg bones clicked and made nauseating wet sounds as the bones were put back into place. Anna herself wasn't doing too hot, either, squirming and groaning in her sleep.
