Futuristic ARK: Survival of the Fittest (Closed)

"I hope not or you're out of commission for a while," Roan commented with worry in his voice.

"I'm not too worried about it," Vera admitted, "We have more important things to do than worry about getting me a pet."

"You're not the only one," Anna agreed, "If I have to spend one more day in bed doing nothing I am going to go insane."

"Well, you know," Jack shrugged, "Something I can do for you."

"I know you hate it," He replied, "I guess we will see. No telling otherwise, right?"

Vera smiled and looked at him, "That's sweet. Thank you. I think the spino chased off all the ones around here though."

Anna sighed and nodded, "I'm gonna end up using this pike as a crutch more than as a spear, aren't it?"

"I doubt it," Jack shook his head, "It's too early in the morning for dimorphodons to be out."

"You might," Roan nodded, sadly confirming her fears, "If we can figure out how to fix it, maybe not as long."

"Really? I don't really remember them being evening fliers," Vera thought out loud, "Then again, 'm not usually paying much attention to them."

Anna sighed, "I guess I'm gonna be on dinoback for a while, then." She shook her head, "Can you take me down to the paddocks?"

"The earliest I've seen a dimorphodon flying around is midday," Jack shook his head, "Once the pteranodons have their fill and stop hogging the beach, the little birds can come and eat the scraps, warm up, and go on thier way.

Roan nodded, "Sure. Lets go. "

He helped her to the ladder and carried her down as he helped her up the night before.

"I never really noticed i guess," She hummed and laughed, "I really should pay more attention huh?'

Once down at the paddocks, Anna requested help getting onto Dummy, the only dinosaur she owned within the group that probably wouldn't have any trouble bearing her weight for an extended period of time. She had to sit side-saddle, her injured leg had her sweating and biting her tongue if she tried to spread them far enough apart to ride normally. At least she could still control the parasaur side-saddle. "Let's go," she angled the dinosaur towards the gate.

"I guess," jack shrugged as the spino began to stir. While they'd been chatting they'd neglected to maintain it's unconscious bar and Jack just about printed a brown brick before he could shove more narcotics down its throat to keep it from getting up and free.

Roan opened the gate, letting her out, only to turn and see Jack and Vera freaking out, "Oh no..."

Vera yelped, seeing the giant beast move, "Oh shit!"

"It's okay!", Jack called once the purple bar had lengthened again, "We got it!", He sank back into his chair and sighed as Anna rode up on Dummy.

"This is a big beast, ain't it?",

"What happened?" Roan asked. Vera looked over, "We weren't paying attention. Hey Anna how's your leg?"

"It hurts like hell," Anna shook her head, "You guys sure you've got it under control?"

"Are you sure you should be out of bed?", Jack eyed the ugly bruise all over Anna's leg, "That doesn't look like just a sprain."

"We know."

Vera eyed the purple leg, "Where does it hurt most?"

Roan hummed, moving to Jack and Vera, "She can't just lay in bed all day either."

Anna sighed, "It especially hurts when people ask so many questions about it."

Jack shrugged, "Alright, but if a good night's sleep didn't do anything I don't think she should be moving it around."

"Knowing where it hurts could help us pinpoint the injury," Vera said in slight annoyance. Roan just shrugged and took a seat next to them.

"My entire leg is purple and swollen, the entire thing hurts," Anna muttered and looked away.

"If this thing keeps going at the rate it's at," Jack looked up at the sky and then at the taming bar, "It'll be early morning tomorrow before it's tamed. Someone's gonna have to stay up and keep it unconscious."

"I can stay up. " Roan offered. Vera shook her head, "Well lets just hope it gets better."

"Alright," Jack nodded at Roan's offer, "I'll stay on the wall to shoot if it managed to get up anyway, I'll mix up some Stimulant to keep us awake." There were more supply crates dropping down the beach, "Vera, do you wanna go get those?" They were white crates, so Vera was definitely capable of opening them.

Vera nodded and silently made her way to get them. Roan nodded, "Gimme the narcotics."

Jack handed them over while Vera went to retrieve the supply crates. Inside the white crates was mostly berries and food, nothing very spectacular compared to what they could make for themselves, but definitely nothing to scoff at.

"How are we gonna get this behemoth all the way to where we're going?", Anna asked, "It's not gonna be a able to fit in the canyon."

After collecting everything from the crates, Vera returned, "Nothing too interesting."

"I'm sure we can figure something out." Roan said with a shrug.

"We can always go by boat," Jack offered, "The spino swims." Of course, with all the dinos they had now they'd definitely need four boats to transport everyone and everything they'd need.

"I'm sure it can scour cliffs, we might not even need to go by boat," Roan commented, "I guess once it's tamed we can see how it fairs."

As he spoke, Roan force fed the dino more narcotics to keep it down.

Jack nodded, that sounded fair. "Well, I'm gonna go make some more narcotics and some stimulant."

"Have fun, I'll stay out here," Anna nodded.

Roan chuckled, "If you hear screaming just run for your life."

"I hope you're joking," Vera commented.
