Are Interest Checks Mandatory?

Do you have to put an interest check out before starting a roleplay? Or could I just start a thread for one and expect people who are interested to sign up?

They are not mandatory. (: They will generate interest though. I have, personally, never seen a roleplay be successful without one, but that doesn't mean it can't be. I would say most users troll the interest checks to find roleplays they're interested in, not the actual roleplays themselves.

It's all good! Nah, they aren't necessary, but it's a really good way to recruit members for your roleplay, if you ask me.

Basically what everyone has said. He only times I've seen rps succeed with out one is where everyone is invited beforehand.


Not mandatory but really really good. Don't expect almost anyone if any to come with out, but expect a lot of attention if you post an interest check
