The Dragon of Empyria: Symbol of Valor
Siegfried Ouroboros
Siegfried
A brutal military tyrant known for their valorous testament, Siegfried Karleim Ouroboros, also famously known as The Dragon of Empyria, is the Sovereign General of the Imperial Army and the second member of the Cardinal Caliburn Order, symbolizing the valor of Empyria. She is undoubtedly one of the most controversial figures within the Empire, notorious for the thousands of achievements she garnered during her lifetime as the Imperial Army’s greatest and only leader. Along with her insurmountable rank, she is also the supreme leader of the Order of Eden, a prominent paramilitary group known for their contentious history of defending the interests of Empyria.

Siegfried is the product of the thousands of vicious warfare that caused her to manifest into a pragmatic individual. As the one that decides the verdict of those who dare to question the morals of the Imperial Army, she is the prime example of an unrelenting dragon that seeks nothing but to lead the brigade of terror towards those who threaten the interests of Empyria. Because of her scorching iron will that often garners the negative reputation of those who wish to use their power to maintain absolute peace, Siegfried is often mistaken as a vicious warlord that uses the Order of Eden to commit wrongful travesties around the galaxy, believing that she had drowned herself in her own power for the worse. However, the truth behind her inclination goes back to the Philosophy of Valor once introduced by the Empress Novalor Ophelia, as Siegfried believes that true peace cannot be maintained without significant amount of clandestine violence. The philosophy also makes certain that the same violent actions should never be leaked to the citizen populous.

The Symbol of Valor understands the inevitably of bloodshed that must be made in order to protect the empire. As long as Vicarius Energy is consistent within Agartha, malevolence was an impossible existence to barricade, as the past proved that the Empire held resources that was simply too precious for the world, an abnormal source of power impossible to find elsewhere in the galaxy. Siegfried was one of the few to recognize this as the fate of Empyria, and why the Imperial Army must accelerate their capabilities towards intergalactic imperialism. This was the prime reasoning behind the Imperial Army’s stimulating growth, as they infused magic and technology to create devastating weaponry that could threaten other worlds from galaxies away. The entire history of the Imperial Army and their moral values were entirely inspired and constructed by the Sovereign General. As the one who controls the fate of the Empire, she proves herself to be more than an important individual. To most, she is their true empress. To some, she is their trial by ordeal.
Cataclysm | Blazing Final Verdict
Unlike other Cataclysms with their complex power, Blazing Final Verdict remains simple but highly effective. It allows the wielder to manipulate and control holy draconic flames that will incinerate nearly everything it touches, excluding those who are deemed non-hostile by the wielder. These flames are considered the purest, having the ability to cleanse one’s body of corruption and disease, including the fix of deep wounds and restoration of missing limbs.

The wielder can manipulate the flames to be lethal. The nature of this Cataclysm comes from its absolute versatility, allowing the wielder to form weapons from the flames for long-range attacks. It is prized by Siegfried for its limitless potential and both offensive and defensive capabilities.
Equipment | Karmareign
Siegfried’s sword which was created using Eleanor’s blood is on par with Zephyrus’s Saphyrine as it is among Empyria’s legendary swords. It is unparalleled in durability as it nullifies all shock effects to its wielder and renders nullification magic useless. It can absorb energy from its targets, drastically decreasing its wielder’s stamina from just being scratched by it. Due to its holy energies, it seems to be much stronger on demonic targets and is very efficient together with her holy flames.

The Pontifex: Symbol of Divinity
Asteria Fentris
The Pontifex
Once an ordinary girl hailing from the ruins of the old Earth, she is one of the first humans that went with Eleanor Ophelia to Agartha, being among the first to be blessed and baptized as Exhelians by the Founding Empress. Her blessing however was different from the others, she was chosen to be a special representative of Agartha and its people, being one of the chief guiding hands alongside the Founding Empress and her most trusted during their first years on Agartha, a station that would last to the present day. She holds almost unrestricted power that can sometimes override royal authority if “Agartha wills it”, but she is not keen on abusing it, believing that using Agartha as an excuse excessively is downright disrespectful. Asteria is a constituent of the Cardinal Caliburn Order as the Symbol of Divinity and is on equal standing with her other two sisters in the hallowed triumvirate, the Symbol of Valor and the Symbol of Revelation. She established a clandestine templar order known as the “Hand of Agartha” over 600 years ago, tasking this order with keeping Empyria’s inhabitants and power in check while proliferating the ideals of Empyria.

Despite her standing in Empyrian society and her position in the Hand of Agartha, she is no zealot. On the contrary, she actually abhors them as she believes Agartha’s teachings and wisdom are unwelcome and undeserving to those who would take it to radical extents. A feeling of disdain and disgust wells within her whenever Agartha is used as an excuse to justify what she considers immoral. That aside, she keeps an open mind, being an advocate for social and human development, she pays not too much attention to the development of technology and the changing of society. Seeing it as the will of Agartha and a new challenge for her and her order to enlighten the current generations, keeping her cathedral’s doors open for those who are lost. In line with her being the Symbol of Divinity, she maintains a sense of good morality, virtue, and righteousness. This puts her at odds with people like Siegfried due to their opposing morals and view. She does however, hope that Siegfried will once more see the joy that can be found in peace much like her fellow sister-in-arms, Zephyrus, believing that it is never too late for someone to change, especially if that someone is ageless.
Cataclysm | Last Requiem
Last Requiem is the culmination of Agartha’s immense power, giving chances at redemption and justice to the point that it brings back the souls of the deceased that it deems worthy. With this Exousiarch, Asteria is able to bring back the dead regardless of the state of their corpses, healing their damaged bodies before manipulating their souls, doing the necessary healing if damaged, and placing them back in their bodies to live and fight another day. Their renewed forms also need no magical energies to maintain them. The limitations of this however, are that she can only resurrect someone who has been dead within 24 hours, whether it be of natural causes or otherwise, and that she also cannot revive those whose souls have been destroyed or irreversibly damaged. A variant of this Exousiarch is that she can also free and cleanse souls that have been trapped in certain objects, places, or people.
Equipment | Testament of the Founding Empress
Asteria’s wand that she can use as a medium to cast her abilities with aside from herself. It is made from a magically-crafted material and enchanted with the strongest magic that could be offered for her use alongside her own power. The wand is Eleanor Ophelia’s gift to her.

Symbol of Revelation
Zephyrus
Zephyrus
The least politically-inclined among her two other sisters-in-arms but compensated by her immense combat acumen and skills that rivals that of Siegfried’s, Zephyrus is more well known as one of the greatest warriors of Empyria. A descendant of a people that existed long before the Empyrians, her body of knowledge is not something to be belittled in the slightest. It is her knowledge and wisdom that earned her her position as Symbol of Revelation. While not an actively participating member of the upper echelons of Empyria, she contributes in her own way by training those who are willing to be put under her tutelage with the things that she had learned from her late father and her experiences in life. In her stead, a small band of warriors personally trained and chosen by her, the Karasu no Raijuu, carry out her responsibilities of protecting Empyria from threats without and within. However, when called to the front, she will gladly respond and will once more enjoy the heat of battle.

Impure World: Empress of Calamity
Azmis Ouranos
Azmis
Once a deity with a realm of her own that is now lost forever due to a series of unfortunate events, Azmis Ouranos is the current and only Empress of the Rythen Empire, a being of such great power akin to a god’s that it can be argued that she doesn’t belong where she is now in any sense of the word. Under her is an empire of slaves of her own design in the form of the vast species of Demonoids and her pride and joy, the Infernal Demonoids, her prized Remnants of Ouranos that were people of different races, tainted and forged with her dark and empowering blood that turned them into beings that are second in power to her, albeit by a large margin. An empire of her making that serves no other purpose than to be her instruments of death and destruction in her lifelong mission to acquire 12 Ataraxia Orbs from the various reaches of space. Her goal is simple on paper but nigh impossibly hard in practice, to acquire the 12 Ataraxia Orbs and use them to rebuild the very realm that she lost at the cost of the current universe’s.

This goal of hers would have one major opponent out of many others that she and her Empire have yet to encounter, Eleanor Ophelia and the Empyrians that were once random variables in her grand plan. Such random variables that soon became her and her Empire’s only arch-nemesis for now. Actively hindering her plans at multiple points in history and even killing 2 out of her 12 Remnants in less than a year during the Empyrian Invasion of Raignork in 697 to 698 which resulted in an Empyrian victory with Raignork’s destruction and the loss of an Ataraxia Orb that fell into enemy hands. This severely hindered her progress, being at such a weakened state with her empire being a shadow of its former self that limited her capability to achieve her goal. Revenge is too simple an angle to define her current motives. She is someone who will stop at absolutely nothing to achieve her goal, even if it means sacrificing her entire Empire and her Remnants.

The Phoenix of Ignitus
Sertoria Feuersturm
Sertoria
Often mistaken for the Arcalion Syndicate’s official ringleader, Sertoria Feuersturm is one of the founding members of the syndicate and the de-facto leader of the Golden Path Organization. Like the other commanders of the cartel, Sertoria is a highly capable individual with the skill of an elite operator, though she has never served in the Imperial Army. She is ideally the figurehead of the Arcalion Syndicate, often sacrificing her appearance to cover for Corvus to make certain that he remain as an unidentified criminal in the eyes of the ISD. Because of her shrewd personality that often radiates the aura of a leader, the entire syndicate including its sub-branches believes that she is the true leader of the organization.

Sertoria suffers from a serious case of obsessive-compulsive personality disorder. Her triggers usually begin whenever she is reminded of her childhood goal, when she once admired the dedication and power of the Collbrandes that protected the empire with their might. As a former enthusiast in wanting the title for herself, her background indicates that she might also suffer from paranoia and psychosis, as the higher echelon of the Golden Path Organization expressed their worries at multiple points that she may one day take the syndicate to her grave. However, she seems to have adequate control over her odd behaviors as Corvus seems to trust her to get her duties done, as she has proven to be effective.
Exousiarch | Ephemeral Ashes
Sertoria inherited an ultimate-class Exousiarch since birth. As House Feuersturm is known for its kinetic control over flames, their Exousiarchs usually derives from pyromancy, as Sertoria was no different. Ephemeral Ashes allows Sertoria to cast a powerful sentient phoenix from her left arm that acts as her familiar of sorts. The phoenix that she summons seems to have a mind of its own, as it behaves and acts majestically whenever it is summoned, loyal only to its summoner. The familiar seems to be purely made out of empyromantic flames, igniting anything it touches – except for its talons. Sertoria can command and control the phoenix at will, as she is often seen commanding the familiar to attack the hostiles from above, casting powerful anti-material flame strikes. This ability played the main factor behind her infamous epithet, the Phoenix of Ignitus. The phoenix itself cannot be killed, though it can be contained.

Phase 5: Outside of being able to cast empyromantic attacks, the phoenix is capable of becoming a self-destructive bombardment strike that has the potential to upheaval cities and ignites nearby zones to an absolute calamity. After being summoned for nearly 15 minutes, the phoenix slowly begins to overheat – causing its magical internal organs to contain the heat, potentially expanding as time moves forward. The phoenix will gradually grow larger and wider the longer it is exposed, as the ability becomes more powerful over time. The phoenix – upon becoming the size of an adult pterodactyl, can no longer contain the heat within and flies above, striking the surface momentarily upon Sertoria’s command, destroying the targeted area with ease. However, using this ability will result in Sertoria not being able to summon her familiar for the next 24 hours.

Pestilential Alchemist
Lynden Avaros
Lynden
One of the leading figures of the Arcalion Syndicate and one of its most proficient alchemists, Lynden was among the first that joined the Syndicate’s leader, Corvus, in his undertakings after a good amount of convincing and personal disillusionment with his previous post in his old life. He currently serves in the Syndicate as one of its commanders that occasionally helps Corvus in managing and operating the Syndicate through his advice and through his own operations. He also serves as the chief chemical weapons manufacturer of the Syndicate, providing chemical agents that can be used as weapons with the intention to incapacitate or kill by generating them using his own corrupted incarce. His powers have yet to be publicly shown but Corvus and his fellows in the Syndicate are certain that it isn’t one to be underestimated. Other than his command over poison magic, he is intelligent in all matters chemical and assists the Syndicate within his means, providing insight into various chemical agents that he does or does not make that the Syndicate uses or plans to use.
Kaleidoscope | Alchemist’s Poison
Lynden can create poisonous substances using his own corrupted incarce, an irony to an extent from his studies that were once aimed at saving people, now he uses it to take them whenever necessary. These substances come in liquid or gas form and can have varying degrees of severity and lethality depending on what is required of him. While injections or intakes of such substances are usually hard to cure medically, they can be cured magically using intermediate to advanced healing magic with the difficulty dependent on the chemical agent’s make. The gaseous and or aerosol forms of chemicals of his design have counters ranging from simple gas masks to sealed suits. He is also immune to a wide variety of poisons as a result of his Kaleidoscope with total immunity from the poisons that he makes.

The Heiress of Shadows: Collbrande of Anterås
Luria Cineris
Luria
An enigmatic person that has puzzled many an Empyrian since her rising to power, Luria is the obscure unseen hand that is responsible for the overall leadership of House Cineris and the province of Anterås in which it is based as its seat of power with its apex within the provincial capital of Graustadt. Her ascent to Collbrande was relatively quiet compared to her peers following her father’s sudden but silent abdication in the later half of 707 due to deteriorating health during which she was named his successor in the latter’s clandestine bid for his daughter’s candidacy for the position to the upper echelons of Empyria with her full awareness and consent.

Such a decision made behind closed doors however, would have consequences for the young Luria during and after her ascension to Collbrande in early 708. Given that she silently assumed her new station with very minimal press coverage outside of an announcement from her father’s office paired with her nigh nonexistent profile, the effects were a given. The House and its new head were immediately at more odds with not just a sizeable fraction of the nobility, but also the common people within and beyond Anterås. Both of which have very little to no idea on who or what just assumed power as the Collbrande of Anterås compared to her more renowned and respected predecessors and what this could mean for the province and Empyria at large as her rule is all but in its infancy.

House Cineris has been long known to delve into the vast trade and craft of information gathering, exchange, and security. Most notable is espionage, the clean and dirty kinds, which they deem to be their specialty that is further reinforced by the House producing some of the highly-trained and experienced spies, with a little mix of assassins, for the Imperial Army and beyond. This disposition towards such professions has given the House a certain reputation among the nobility and common folk alike that has garnered its share of supporters and critics that still persist.

Furthermore, to add onto that reputation is a Collbrande who has, simply put, appeared from thin air that raises more than a few question marks and produces some rumors, very few of which are of the unsavory kind. Doubts have been raised on whether Luria can meet up to what is expected of her and if she can even exceed them among other things that she wishes to hopefully dispel in the future. All she needs is the time and the chances to prove herself, and they will certainly come given the infantile state of her new tenure and her nigh-opaque profile, arguably the closest to a blank slate that a Collbrande has ever been. A critical mind however, would come to ask this glaring question: “Is the slate really blank?”
Exousiarch | Agartha’s Oculus
An Exousiarch that is centered around House Cineris’s field of expertise, it grants Luria the capability to achieve a meditative state where she can use a limited extent of supreme observation which gives her a degree of absolute sight. This in effect turns her into what is essentially an all-seeing eye with a real-time bird’s eye view of a wide area, the image of which can be magnified at will with no image quality loss whatsoever. She can also summon an arcane sphere that projects what she sees to convey the information to others.

Agartha’s Oculus can also reveal a variety of hidden things such as ordinary objects, traps, invisible entities, and to a limited extent, detect illusions and see through disguises. It also grants Luria the capability to see through terrain, walls, buildings, and more provided they aren’t protected by an enchanted barrier or spell tailored to countering similar powers. Whether she can penetrate these with her Exousiarch and how well she would see after doing so would depend on the barrier and her mastery over her Exousiarch and its power.

An obvious disadvantage of Agartha’s Oculus is that Luria must be in a meditative state which requires time and focus, she cannot actively defend herself from any assailants and must be protected by others should she use such power in the field. She can help those that are defending her see their assailants as well provided she is using her Exousiarch in the same area that she and her would-be companions are in or if there are means to convey the information to more distant defenders in the case of being a distance apart. Another disadvantage would be that she can only use her Exousiarch on areas that she knows geographically, requiring references such as maps or aerial or orbital surveillance photos or feeds or even landmarks unless the area is one that she knows by memory.

The operational and effective range of Agartha’s Oculus is bound to the planet that Luria is located on and how much she knows of it. She is able to use her Exousiarch from within the confines of a ship to scan a location on a planet provided the aforementioned constraints are satisfied and that the vessel is of sufficient proximity to the planet. However, she is limited to outside sources should she require information that is on a neighboring planet. It has been speculated that the efficacy of Agartha’s Oculus can be enhanced, improving various parameters across the board thus improving its performance. The full how’s and why’s are currently unknown outside of repeated practice and exposure.
