If you are interested in dynamic arts and culture, Itaewon is the place for you. With only a seven-minute walk to subway station 2, the May Flowers apartment complex is the perfect little place to call your next home.

Each apartment room at May Flowers complex has three bedrooms and two bathrooms, with the house size ranging around 119-meter square. It close to bus stops, fitness centres, shopping malls, a hospital, a park, and foreign schools. All apartments come with the option of being fully furnished, and the complex is topped off with an accessible rooftop that displays the beautiful visuals of Itaewon. Rental contracts expand for over a year, with a three month bond as a security deposit.

the story

The residents at the May Flowers apartment complex on the fifth floor all have something in common. Each and every single one of them are thirty or older and well… have no clue what they’re doing with their life. Their parents expect them to be rich, successful, and married. But, instead, they find themselves questioning the meaning of life and if they are truly living it to their full purpose.

Every Friday night, they all attend up on the rooftop and have drinks together, bonding over their worries and family expectations for them. No matter what – they always meet up and have at least one drink together. Despite each person bringing different personality traits and interests, they feel like the apartment complex doesn’t lie; that they’re one big family.

the rules

1). Follow all RPNation rules. Respect everyone, fade to black for erotic content or extreme gore, and be mature with sensitive matters. Of course, there will be killing involved in this roleplay. However, we ask for the description of the murder scenes to be kept to a PG rating.

2). There are SEVEN positions available. It’s NOT first-come, first-serve. Characters will be accepted based on who will make great additions to our plotlines. The only characters that are gender locked are the simp, the single mum, the ex-con, the influencer and the escort. All others are open to any gender. Characters MUST around 30 years old (youngest being 29, oldest being 35). The single mom, however, can create as many children as they please at any age. Just keep it realistic

3). Discord is a MUST for OOC. In the server, we will discuss plot lines, NPC development, and various other roleplay related agendas. We will also be spending time bonding and getting to know each other a bit more!

4). If you are not familiar with Korean culture, that is okay! But please! Be willing to learn and to ask questions! Research! If you are unsure about something, message me and I can help direct you to where you can find the proper information (for example: if you are unsure on socio-cultural expectations etc). We want to not only have a fun roleplay – but we also want to be as respectful and realistic as possible.

5). As much as I hate not being able to open this roleplay to everyone, writers must be 18+. This is simply because we will be roleplaying mature adult themes.

6). Expectations of posting? Well, I understand that people can get busy with real life. For example, I’m meant to be writing an assignment with ten scholar sources but here I am doing this. However, I do ask if you could try posting at least once a week to keep the RP alive and the story moving. There is no posting order, and we will break the roleplay up with ‘chapters’ with the aid of a generated word. For example; if the generated word is “umbrella”, then we may be experiencing some rain in this chapter. If another generated word is “socks”, then maybe there could be a sock thief in the apartment complex?! Finally, I’d love for the word count to at least hit 500 words. Don’t just give us a bone; we want some juicy meat too, please.

7). Realistic face claims only. Not digital art/anime/manga. Please, please, please, please make sure you do your research (for example, don’t have a character who is 35 with a 21 year old face claim)

8). Communicate with me! If you’re struggling with something or need to take a break – let me know! We can write it into the roleplay!

9). Be respectful! Your personalities may clash or you might struggle to plot with someone. That's okay! It's natural! But it gives you no right to be a horrible person to someone.

10). Let's have some fun!

A mother just trying to get through her life without having to see that jerk of an ex ever again.

the simp

The single mum’s next-door neighbour will do anything and everything to make sure she’s (and her child/ren are) happy and safe.

the ex-con

Brother to the single mum. Has recently been released from jail and living with his sister until he can afford his own place.

the 'influencer'

The simp’s sister who lives with him. She wants to make it big in the entertainment world but can’t seem to catch a break.

the confused

They feel as if they have been living a double life and have not been true to themselves. Lives with their cousins, the simp and influencer

the ex athlete

Once on their way to the Olympics until an accident stopped them from physically being able to pursue their dreams. Lives with the escort and waeguk

In an attempt to pay off all his loans to the loan sharks, he’s secretly been working on the side as an escort. Lives with the waeguk and ex athlete
