History Nelly was born in Boston. She was raised with her poor, but irresponsible family. Paternal conflicts often occurred to her youth life. She was noted as a juvenile delinquent back in her days. Nelly managed to smuggle drugs by tucking into a well hidden container. She shared it among the delinquents by befriending them. Later on, Nelly became as a crafty drug dealer, but she would later on suffer health problems.

She avoided medical attention while Nelly resumed back to school. The consequences would ruin her health condition until that following day. She was involved in the brawl when some of the students stole her drug money. Then suddenly, Nelly couldn't fight back when her lungs were pressuring from the inside. She collapsed on the floor and struggled to get back up. Some of the students withdraw her from the fight and safely sent to the hospital.

While she’s at the hospital, Nelly regretted her decision by taking drugs. Also, she was lost the money after she went through a fight. Her parents later learn that she had lung cancer. It said to be that Nelly was an addictive druggie. It raised the question to her, stating that she stole the cigarettes from her father. They cannot afford the money for the surgery.

Her parents had no choice but to abandon her. In the middle of the night, Bio-terrorists attacked the hospital. Nelly had awoken herself from an explosion. She tried to get up from the bed, but she was caught in the blast. Somewhat, she had survived from the attack by sheer luck. Unfortunately for her "luck," Nelly was likely covered in the rubbles.

This is where her life became a heck of a miracle. Nelly managed to get out of the rubbles by teleporting out of rubbles. Unexpectedly, she didn’t notice that she had the ability. It later explains that the explosion grant her the ability to manipulate smoke. Although, there’s no sign of swelling in her lungs, she was able to walk without staggering.

Nelly escaped the hospital, but later on meets a mysterious security force. These security forces were the DUP (Department of Unified Protection) which were searching for survivors of the attack. When the DUP suspected her as the Bio-terrorist, they tried to arrest her. Nelly attempts to escape, but the DUP immediately sealed her in a concrete tomb.

When she was sent away from a built-in prison for Bio-terrorist, Nelly was turned into a test subject. She was forced to experience her power while learning it for herself. The DUP had been researching her abilities and her combat results. Despite of her living condition; other "Conduits" approached her in a friendly manner. Spite of the fact, she reminded like the delinquents back in her school days.

Nelly plans to escape prison along with the Conduits. In order to successfully execute their escape plan, she intends to remove the handcuffs outside prison. She doesn’t plan to steal a key from the prison guard. Instead, she would use something, a paper-clip. Nelly sits there in her cell, waiting for that "golden opportunity" to kick-in.

Personality: Nelly is an audacious conduit willing to become a real hero or real fool. She's a stubborn mule as if she is acting like a living patriot. Although, Nelly isn't kind person and can be a jerk when it all comes to her self-confidence. She has no ambition of being an ordinary human. Instead, she fights for freedom as a conduit.

Nelly take things seriously when handling the worst situation. She even hates DUP, because they turned her life into a living hell. To overcome the threat, she would find a Conduit than fighting him/her. Because of this, she can help them fight the DUP and crush the threat if possible. Nelly is willing to back up on the Conduits, but often support them.

She somewhat has a change of heart. Nelly cares about the people whom been helping her since. Since Nelly is outside of prison, she's been expecting to encounter other conduits. Also, Nelly is willing to keep her guard up on other villainous conduits. Mentioning that the conduits attacked the hospital back in her past.
